AVR Landscape

We hired Alex and his team back in Nov 2023 to reroute the storm drain in our backyard because the original storm drain was connected directly to the kitchen sink drain and the pipe was so damaged by roots and dirt that the storm drain flooded / pooled water every rain season.

I asked if he can close off the original pipe and reroute the drain to the front of our house, just as it should've been, and he said no problem.

We got a few other quotes from plumbers and contractors and Alex's quote was the best for us so along with pricing and yelp reviews we decided to go with Alex.

His work and team went above and beyond! Alex was on time, honest and the quality was incredible! I wanted to wait until now (rain season Jan 2024) to write a review on how well the new drain works! It no longer floods and works as it should. My wife and I are extremely happy with the results.

We recently contracted Alex again to give us a quote on another project and can't wait to get that started. Here are pics of our new storm drain.

Alex is professional and attentive to the needs of his costumers. I hired AVR to replace a fence and redo my backyard. Alex and his team completed the job on time and to the best quality standards. The quote is received from Alex was comparable to others I received, but ultimately decided to go with AVR due to their professionalism.

Both my front and backyards needed to be redone and I was overwhelmed by the cost after getting a couple of estimates. Alex replied to my request on Yelp and was very easy to work with. He worked with my budget and was open to mid-project changes. Communication on pricing, changes, and schedules was excellent. We settled on AVR doing the front yard and adding a dry creek bed. They also prepped the backyard for me to haul in decorative rock myself so that I wouldn't go over budget.

Alex and his team were great! Alex provided an estimate within hours of his visit and was very flexible with scheduling once we decided to move forward. He was also very flexible with changes to the bid. Work was meticulously done and we are extremely pleased with the final result. We highly recommend AVR Landscape!

I recently hired AVR to spruce up my side yard, and they did a fantastic job. First, Alex was super responsive and helpful, and best of all, was able to come out to do the job within days. The team showed up on time and finished in a few hours. The difference was night and day. Price-wise, the estimate was reasonable. I highly recommend AVR!

In June, AVR Landscape helped us revitalize our backyard. Alex is a true professional; he was able to come out quickly, take measurements, and provide a bid. He is friendly, offered suggestions, and gave us a realistic time frame to begin the job. Our project included the following: 1) Add artificial grass on both sides of the backyard 2) Add river rock to our dog run 3) Add flat black rock by our palm trees 4) Add decomposed granite by our fence line 5) Pour concrete to expand the usable space in our backyard.

Overall, we are happy with how things turned out with one exception. The concrete job was subcontracted to A&S Quality Concrete. I received the point of contact and confirmed that the license was expired which was a red flag. Alex confirmed that he would take care of things if there were any issues so I decided to move forward with this subcontractor. After it was poured, I took a number of pictures and A&S came out and attempted to fix some of the issues. The photos attached to this review showcase some of the areas of opportunity with the concrete job. The concrete portion of the project was thousands of dollars (almost half of the overall project) and I wish I would have listened to my gut.

Having said that, I would recommend working with Alex and AVR Landscape. But if you need concrete poured, my advice would be to treat that part as a separate project altogether.

Oh my gosh I can't brag or rave enough about Alex and his team. From the very beginning with getting a quote and answering ALL my questions. We had a tree removed before and they ended up dropping it on our turf and messed up our brand new turf. So when I called AVR, they were very understanding and offered advice and a very reasonable quote to not only fix our turf but to take out our second redwood. His team were true professionals and did it flawlessly. I am sooo happy and thankful I hired him for both jobs. I would recommend him 10 times over. He's very kind and very professional and very quick and efficient.

A tree fell on my house and was cut up leaving quite the bit of debris in the yards. Alex was able to work with me on getting the tree, remainder of the standing tree trunk, and branches taken away. He was very flexible and very responsive. I am not very good with taking care of my yards and Alex's team cut down my over grown grass without a word from me which was a very nice surprise.

Highly recommend them if you need some friendly quality work done.

My postage stamp size front yard needed landscaping. Asked Alek if he would consider doing such a small project. He designed, purchased everything, completed. I love it. Just what I wanted. Simple, easy to care for, pretty. I would recommend AVR Landscape for any landscaping needs.

Alex and his crew were great. Bid included new sod, mow strips and bark. I was worried that the project might not start when scheduled (business is good for landscapers right now) but he was there just as promised.
