Had the Biscuits and Gravy at Bacon & Butter Cafe--absolutely delicious! Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and satisfying. The service was fast and friendly, making the experience even better. Can't wait to come back for more!

The wait was alright, but once we got in the bee pollen was actually amazing. I want to call them and ask about the ingredients they used because I could eat that all day. My gf thought the sausage sandwich was "mid" idk too many herbs, we used to like a jimmy dean. But the truth is... The reason this place gets 6.6/10 is they used tap water, like you could taste it you know?

8/18/24 Sunday. Sister-in-law reserved a table for 8 at around 10AM. They waited for about 1 hr. and 20 min. The stats on yelp read that if you came earlier, the wait wouldn't be too long. Oh well. Grateful that sister-in-law and her bf got there early and waited.

11:20AM, we were a party of 8 and got seated outside at the patio. Love the umbrellas for shade. Beautiful weather! Our waitress was very sweet. She made sure we were doing ok a couple times and asked us if we needed more drinks.

4/5 stars. $18 B&B Burger : house ground beef with bacon, jack cheese, shallot rings, smoked aoili, arugula, and brioche bun. *may contain raw ingredients. Comes with a side of potatoes or fruit.

- looked dry but wowww!!! It was JUICY! Big portion. Love the subtle flavors of every thing. It wasn't strong/heavy tasting. Some burgers, I get tired of the taste after a few bites, but this one I could eat the whole thing! It should have a couple tomatoes. Hubby said and or some light tasting pickles. Other than that, it was DELICIOUS! Crispy shallot and textures of bacon and arugula was superb! We ordered the fruit on the side and it was good, too.

5/5 stars. $17 Peaches & Cream French Toast: brioche, vanilla custard, roasted peaches, creamed caramel sauce, shortbread crumble, whipped cream.

- THE BEST FRENCH TOAST I EVER HAD! Love the subtle flavors. Thank God the peaches were NOT sour. I wonder where do they get their ingredients from and what techniques do they use to cook and prepare every thing?! PHENOMENAL.

Before we started eating, I told fam that I'm normally one and done at every brunch place but this spot, I'm willing to come back again and again! I believe they change their menu depending on what's good or in season?! Looking forward to try other dishes and or other types of french toast.

I, also, took photos of every one's entree. Not sure bout their ratings cause I only had a bite. Seemed pretty good to me!

We were passing through Sacramento and found bacon & butter from a YouTube recommendation.
We couldn't be more pleased!
The food is great and the decor is right on as well.
The hostess was really nice when we signed in. The server was pretty rushed but was always cordial.
Overall we had a great time.

I'm surprised to see I haven't reviewed Bacon & Butter since we've been here several times over the last couple of years. We stopped in yesterday for a lovely lunch. The hostess, Samin, was very kind and happy to accommodate a special request for seating. We have eaten inside and out, but this time we were seated inside near the door. A perfect people watching spot.

I had a biscuit sandwich that was very good. Mr. S was in heaven as he ate his flapjacks with fruit. I took a couple of bites of the whip cream, strawberries and pistachios, and could see why he enjoyed it so much. Our server, Heather, was personable, informative and quickly served us and cleared our plates. It's so many interesting menu items. It's hard to make a selection. Someday I'm going to try their hamburger!

The focus on yum is in the name. If you are looking for low cal and "healthy" options love on. But if you want QUALITY food and feeling ok with breaking a diet rule or two saddle up and get ready. I ordered the peaches and cream waffles, little guy got biscuits and gravy - comes with eggs (chiquito orders his eggs scrambled on the side and minus the fried sage) and. CINNAROLL (OMG!!! Love!!!) Hot coffee and cold coffee same price both good.

It's usually pretty busy here but we didn't need to wait long for a patio table. Saw the people wanting indoor waiting not too long as well today. The road noise in the patio is a bit much from time to time but I prefer outside as long as it's not too hot and no flies - so it was all good. Tables have umbrellas and it's quaint.

The wait time in yelp said 30 minutes but it was half that at the most for most folks waiting. Take a chance and wait in line if you have to. A Sacramento must-do food experience.

The restaurant experience was disappointing.
The host was initially very rude, but after realizing their mistake, they made an overly exaggerated effort to be nice, which felt insincere and didn't make up for the initial poor impression.

I was 45 min early than my party...so naturally, I wanted to sit down and enjoy a drink or a coffee for the time being before my party arrived then and I would've gotten back in line.
There were at least 12 empty seats at the bar ( not one person sitting there yet) and five empty tables, but he wouldn't allow me to go in and relax over a cup of coffee or a drink.

He realized the abrupt change in my facial expression due to his snappy comment of requiring my whole party to be there and stating that I am not allowed to come inside, I must wait outside.
As I was walking out the door he did apologize but again it didn't make up for it as it was forced and fake

My entire family could see right through the fake actions and the overly exaggerated kindness shortly after they arrived and I Didn't even have to tell them what happened.

I really didn't want to stay and eat because it was so discomforting. But I drove over an hour to get there.

Really NOT the first encounter you want to have with any person when you wake up in the morning.
If that's their policy, that's just straight weird to turn away a paying customer when your restaurant is widely available in seating.

Needless to say, I have no reason to return here . I've been here twice now. The food is good but it's really not THAT GOOD.

Not like they will miss 6 to 10 people dining in their restaurant on occasion.. I surely won't miss being treated like crap first thing in the morning. Cheers

The long 1-2 hour waits are so worth it. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

This visit I had the breakfast burrito and it's my favorite savory item on the menu. The cheese skirt is amazing and everything in the burrito just scrambles well and has so much flavor! I always ask for a side of hot sauce and it pairs perfect. The potato skins were so crispy and had a good salty taste.
I also decided to try the apple pie French toast as a sweet dish, and it was over the top delicious! The dish itself was not too sweet and the apples had a perfect crunch ratio, definitely shareable if you're looking for something sweet to eat after a savory dish. We also had the pancake shots, so good and so creative!

The place can get busy inside, but they never rush you to eat and it doesn't seem too crowded or loud once you're inside. The ambiance outside is a little quieter and is also perfect if it's not too hot.

7/7/2024 came this morning for brunch with a few of my girlfriends! It was our first time coming to Bacon & Butter. I must say everything that we ordered was absolutely delicious! Portion sizes were great too! It was a busy Sunday afternoon so we did have to wait a hour before we were seated but the long hour was totally worth the wait!

I ordered the peaches and cream French toast and I will be absolutely ordering it again! It was the perfect amount of sweetness that I was wanting. I paired it with an orange juice that was actually pretty good! My friend ordered the banana cream waffles and she didn't leave a single bite behind. My other friend ordered the Denver omelette and she said it was one of the best omelettes she's ever had. We can't wait to come back!

Love this place! We have been a few times and their pastry items are really good. Always super busy so you gotta get there early.

I always like doing the simple breakfast. You can pick 3-4 items from the sides list for $15-$18. Received 5 slices of thick bacon! Scrambled eggs cooked perfectly. The fingerling potatoes are crispy- $1 upcharge. I did the 4 item and the buttermilk pancake was included in that. The pancake was so good. Not your typical fluffy pancake. Was more dense and almost had that doughy vibe (was cooked through). Really good! It came with some sliced apples on top which worked perfectly for our daughter.

I swear they have the best biscuits here! Gotta do biscuits and gravy or the biscuit sandwich wet style. This time we got the sausage biscuit sandwich. Omg the amount of melty, gooey cheese on there... so good!

If you're gonna do potatoes you gotta get the crispy fingerling potatoes. Their regular house potatoes are bland and have no crisp.

The churro donut holes were amazing. They had a thick coating of cinnamon sugar on the outside. Nice little starter if you come with a group.

Next time I was to try the breakfast burrito. Someone next to us had it and it was loaded!!

Remember to get there early. They have a line down the building by the time they open!
