Bartholomews Pub

Excellent English pub in the same building as the Doubletree Hilton - better than anything we found in the UK on a recent trip!

We stopped by for a late lunch (after 2 pm) and it was mostly empty, but we got great service. We ordered drinks - Guinness for me, a Spaniard G&T for my better half, and a Shirley Temple for our teen (in Canada they are add OJ).

Our server also helped us order some appetizers: crispy dry ribs, chicken wings, classic poutine (with pulled pork) and langos.

All the food was delicious; we each liked something different, and there were NO LEFTOVERS!!

Bill was over $100, and we tipped generously as the service was exceptional. We would be happy to return.

Bartholomew's Pub really hit the spot. We were looking for a place to sit and relax, while enjoying a drink and good eats. Bartholomew's Pub is exactly what I envisioned when thinking of what a pub would be like. Awesome atmosphere and excellent service. Ceili, our waitress, was awesome.

We had Fish and Chips, Beef Dip, wings, strips, and loaded fries. Everything was delicious. The beer was excellent.

Bartholomew's Pub is a must when in Victoria, BC, Canada. Whether it's to have a cold brew, good eats, or hang out in a great atmosphere, you can't go wrong with Bartholomew's Pub.

Warm, relaxed, friendly pub atmosphere with old school charm located in the arcade level of the Double Tree Hotel.
They make a great and refreshing Pimm's cup.
The mussels steamed in a tomato herb broth were delicious and served with 2 pieces of buttery focaccia bread. The mussels were fresh and the tomato herb broth was so good that it could be eaten like a soup.
I dined on a Sunday evening and they were serving a Sunday roast consisting of roast beef and mashed potatoes served with brown gravy, vegetables (red peppers, asparagus, carrots), and 2 Yorkshire puddings. I opted for the Sunday roast 3 course dinner that comes with either a salad or soup, Sunday roast as mentioned above, and a dessert (sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream or a seasonal cheesecake). The salad was fresh and the balsamic honey vinaigrette was delicious. The roast beef was tender and flavorful with the gravy. The vegetables were fresh and well prepared. The mashed potatoes were OK and tasted like instant mashed potatoes. The Yorkshire pudding was baked well and tasty. For dessert, I got the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and it was amazing and one of the best desserts I've had in long time.
The service was friendly and could be a little more attentive as it took awhile to get the check.
If you are looking for a relaxed place to eat and/or drink that's off the beaten path, Bartholomew's is the place to try.

Very pubby atmosphere and very good food. Once we ordered it took quite a long time to be served. We had cannelloni which came with a salad, and a BBQ chicken salad. The servings were large. No drinks. It came to C$ 46 plus tax and tip. Street parking is scarce but we got lucky.

Great list of fun gin cocktails that were delicious to try! The Pims was my favorite and must try their Hugo spritz as well! We got the wings and poutine both were delicious!

If you find yourself in Victoria looking for a good old fashioned pub look no further than Bartholomews! They allow kids until 9pm and they have a rock solid happy hour! The service was very friendly and the whole atmosphere was a warm pub "Cheers" vibe. They have TVs for hockey and a great local beer selection!

We ate here by coincidence. Great atmosphere. The environment reminded us of the show Cheers. I had the fish and chips. The best I've ever had. My wife had the poutine. She never had it before and she loved it. Over all, definitely worth coming here. A lot of spirits and drafts too.

Great pub located in the hotel. Planned on just a happy hour, then head out to another place for dinner. Well..... the happy hour and the bartender convinced us to stay. Great hh gin and tonics, then grabbed the fish and chips dinner. Highly recommend both!! Jeremy, the bartender, was great!! I will be back again when in town!!

Came walking around the downtown area and parliament building. Stumbled across this pub and went in for some drinks. I was super surprised and pleased with the service. Our server was amazing and provided some great recommendations. Me and the bf got the Prim's cup, our first time having one and I must say, I am in love. The garnishes were different in every cup we ordered, but we did not mind it. I will say, the mints do make a difference!
We also got some wings n calamari. The calamari were strips so note that incase you don't like the thickness of strips. Overall loved everything about this spot.

Ambiance and food are great. Selection of beers is very large as well. The BLTA with corn chowder and Fish & Chips are delicious.
