Bay Area Maintenance - BAM

Had a great experience with Contractor Dan when setting up a charging station for my Tesla at home. He's remarkably detailed, patient, and always available to clear any doubts - no question is too 'dumb' for him. His price was competitive and fair, and he did a great job without leaving a mess. Dan helped me understand the options between a NEMA 14-50 setup and a Tesla Wall Connector, which made everything a lot easier.

I reached out to over ten contractors before finding Dan, and I'm so glad I kept looking. Take it from someone who spent 2 weeks on this - going through 10-15 inspections, video calls, and quotes can be exhausting. But talk to Dan, you'll probably shorten your hunt faster. Still, do your homework and get your quotes, but make sure you check out Dan. You'll be happy you did, just like I am.

I hired Daniel to take out my non-functional Generartion 2 Tesla wall connector and move the power line from outside the garage to inside the garage and install an industrial grade NEMA 14-50 outlet as a replacement for the old Tesla wall connector. Daniel explained the options and we settled on a plan and price. The work was completed the day after the estimate. The workmanship was excellent and the price was fair. I highly recommend using BAM for installing and servicing EV chargers.

Had Dan come out and help me install a 240V outlet for EV charging as well as a 120V outlet. He was super helpful throughout the entire process including teaching me some things while he worked. Price was great and the quality of the work was very professional. Would recommend BAM to anyone and the 5 star reviews are all very well deserved. In fact, I'm about to hire him again for another project.

Dan was very responsive leading up to the installation. He made some helpful suggestions, as I am a new EV owner. The installation went very smoothly. I highly recommend him.

No wonder why Bay Area Maintenance has five stars on Yelp. Everything from my initial inquiry to the installation of my 14-50 outlet was great. Dan is very professional and courteous no BS guy. He gave me the best price while most try to overcharge you.
He even installed a cable management and charger head holder free of charge. He showed up on time and was extremely responsive to my messages. I will use BAM for all my electrical work going forward. I absolutely recommend him.

Dan was great to work with. He arrived promptly for the estimate and explained my options and helped me decide. He came back for the installation appointment as promised and was done with the installation in a couple of hours. He changed out the breaker in my sub-panel to a 60A breaker so that the Tesla wall charger could safely deliver up to 48A. Everything is working great. I would highly recommend Dan.

Before talking to BAM, I'd also made a couple of inquiries with some other contractors. Some of them tried to talk me into adding more work that would've cost me thousands of dollars more. Knowing a little bit about electrical, I knew they would be a waste of time. Dan, on the other hand, was honest with his work and cost estimate, so I scheduled with him at his immediate next availability.

I appreciate having Dan doing the work at my home, and will check back with BAM for future electrical works.

BAM mounted my TV in the family room right above the fireplace. Nice clean setup and even created a long HDMI cable, that he was able to hide in the media niche for my cable box and other devices. Great Service and will use them again!

Dan was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, affordable... I really really appreciated him. He answered dumb questions and gave good advice. He helped me re-route some circuits to my back-up battery, diagnose a problem with a ceiling fan and light (which took longer than either of us anticipated), and install a smart switch for my porch light. He will be my go to for future electrical questions and work. Do not go with anybody else until you at least contact him.

Excellent service all around. I originally made an appointment to fix a couple Nest thermostat that Best Buy has incorrectly installed. Afterwards, I added on a laundry list of other work that needed to be done. He showed up on time (early actually) and was able to knock off every item on my list in the one appointment including replacing a circuit breaker as well as a few light switches. All working perfectly now. Thanks!
