In 2022, John and his crew waterproofed our new deck, addressing the issues left by a previous contractor. Since the deck covers a living space, ensuring it was properly waterproofed was crucial to avoid any leaks. John and his team were excellent--easy to communicate with, prompt, and very pleasant. We navigated through two extremely rainy seasons without any problems.

Fast forward to 2024, and despite an unforeseen issue where a nail had worked its way through the waterproofing, John promptly took care of the entire deck surface. The new coating has restored it to its original condition, which was a delightful surprise. We're extremely grateful for their outstanding work. Having a waterproof deck gives us peace of mind, and we no longer worry about the rain!

I was having a lot of water leaking after a bad storm. John was able to come out quickly and found an old patch that wasn't sealed anymore. His team sealed it quickly. It was $850, which was on the expensive side but I was glad to have it over and dealt with quickly.

As of yet, still awaiting visit for estimate. Sent messaging via Yelp but no reply. I'm sure they're busy...but still.

John responded quickly within 30mins. He came to me on the same day and fixed a leaking roof before the storm next day. It's definitely a life saver, going from 6 buckets under the roof to a sound sleep.
John is also very open to explain the cost details and what needs to be done. He offered a fair price even for an emergency situation. His work is also professional.

John and his team did a great job on waterproofing our balcony which had been giving us headache for years. His team, including Samuel and Lupe, is hard working, responsible, and attentive to details. They did a good job on making sure the work will not damage the landscape plants below, and on cleaning up after every day's job is completed. We are very happy with every phase of the project, from removing the old tiles and concrete, replacing the damaged plywood, applying the waterproofing membrane to manufacturer's specs, conducting a 24-hour water test, and to installing the amazingly looking pavers. They also did a good job on fixing the downstair ceiling where leak was. I like the warranty they provide and their commitments to honor it. We look forward to a leak-free balcony for years to come, and I have confidence that John has delivered it. I highly recommend Bay Area Waterproofing!

John and team are awesome! A month or so ago, I was dealing with a water leak coming in through one of our windows. John and team showed up the next day, suggested some good solutions, and fixed it on the spot. We haven't had any issues since.

A couple days ago, we had another issue with another area of the house. John responded to my email right away and came out right away to fix the problem. He worked quickly and professional. He even ended up cutting the cost down from what he originally quoted, because the job ended up being a bit smaller than expected!

As a former contractor, I was pretty rusty on how technology has changed and how many new amazing products are on the market that can completely seal porches and decks as well as other products that will go on quickly and protect your roof for a decade without re-coating. Bay Area Waterproofing sealed three large commercial porches for me at an apartment building, completely waterproofing the plywood substructure with an anti-slip finish. In addition, they completely waterproofed an aging flat tar roof with the latest silicone coating and several small leaks are a thing of the past. Bay Area Waterproofing was on time, fair and professional and has even thrown in the occasional extra which is really appreciated.
