Great service and the driver picked us up on time. We arrived to the airport way earlier than we anticipated but that's not a problem. Also, it was easy changing the pickup time. I also like that they require everyone to wear a face mask.

I have taken Bayporter for well over a decade and have had a wide variety of experiences with drivers. Most were courteous, but the ones who were not really stand out in my mind. One man who picked me up for an early morning flight was very disagreeable. He commented that he had picked me up once before and that I was 5 minutes late (?!). I've seen plenty of riders be 10 minutes late or more. This guy just needed someone to be nasty with.
Another time coming from the airport I was in the Bayporter with an elderly couple. The driver was literally racing through San Francisco, weaving through traffic in a manner that was definitely not safe. The elderly couple were alarmed (and rightly so) and the man asked him to slow down. The driver just sniped at him, like he was lucky to be getting a ride at all.
Two years ago, I went to make a reservation to SFO and the prices had skyrocketed from around $45 each way to over $100. each way. I opted to stay at a hotel near the airport that includes shuttles to the airport.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 30, 2011
We made reservations to be picked up in Oakland at 3:15 am in order to get to SFO by four for a six am flight. Our driver pulled up at 3:11 and did not honk the horn (gratefully). As we opened the door to the house, he came up and helped carry and stow our luggage. He was terrific, although a little to 'free' with whatever cologne he was wearing.
The van, on the other hand, had been used hard (#268), and it showed its age - both by the condition of the shocks and the squeak of the seats. Nevertheless, our driver knew his way around town (to pick up another fare before crossing the Bay), and avoided the construction zones expertly.
We got to the airport right on time, and were treated with courtesy and respect. I would gladly use this service next time we're in town.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 15, 2012
I needed a shuttle from Emeryville to SFO at the last minute. I called them and arranged for a pick up the next morning at 3:45am and then for a ride from the airport back home a couple days later. The driver was exactly on time and apparently my stop was the last one and they go straight to SFO.
Coming back, I was instructed to call the shuttle service number and allow 30 minutes for them to arrive at the pick-up location. Again, right on time. The shuttle does not drop off in SF, so Emeryville is always their first stop! The ride costs $34 each way, which I thought was such a bargain. I gave the driver a little extra and he told me it's only $34. I was shocked! Anyways, I gladly insisted he take the tip. All in all, I'd definitely use them again.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Larry L.San Francisco, CA12935921Sep 29, 2018Updated review
Only ride with them if you have no regard for your safety. Around 9:45 this morning, a bay porter express van #277 blew a red light at 5th and Folsom (made left turn onto Folsom). It wasn't a situation where it was yellow and he went through after it turned red. He was stopped at the light and decided that rules don't apply to him and made the left turn even though he had a red light.

I often use Bayporter but this time recently, the company sent a terrible driver. the driver was unkempt and was clearly anxious. he stunk of cigarettes and I do believe he was in serious nicotine withdrawal since he had two packs of cigarettes prominently displayed. he was almost hostile. he kept weaving in and out of traffic and had to open the window to check out the on coming traffic to switch lanes on the bay bridge. I will not use their services again. I did call as soon as I got to the airport and I told them he is dangerous and should not be on the road. they did say they would call him in. I also asked for a refund and they did send the refund. but he should have not been on the road at all. I am done with Bayporter.

I always use these guys, I occasionally get a bad driver, but am usually very pleased.
HOWEVER, I have tried to reach them by phone on all 3 of their phone numbers on 3 different days this week - NO ANSWER. Are they still in business???Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lucy S.Alamo, CA014Oct 9, 2018
If I could give a negative star I would here, you make up your mind after hearing this: picked up promptly as promised, even was called 10 min out, ok driver, got us to ago in allotted time HOWEVER van was in bad repair, No AC which was an uncomfortable ride in 90° weather.
BUT THE WORSE PART is we booked a round trip drop off and pick up giving exact date and arrival time. When we phoned as requested by BAYPORTER on our arrival, we were told that no one was waiting at arrival nor could any shuttle be there to pick us up for 1 hour to 1.5 hours!!
Last minute shuffling to get home after a tiring INTERNATIONAL flight was extremely tiring and very UNPROFESSIONAL!!
just saying, use this company knowing their problems! I never will!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Verden A.Alameda, CA044May 13, 2018
A strange business with strange rules like not operating 24 hours a day, occasionally "not having staff to go to the airport" and "charter service only after 3 pm to go to Alameda". It's
Ike they are intentionally trying to alienate potential customers with such policies. Makes me want to buy a car.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - terracerose r.Berkeley, CA2448Oct 16, 2015
Utterly useless. I called because I didn't see anywhere on the website reservation screen to enter a residential address. The woman on the phone was rude and short with me. She just kept insisting I do it again and that there was a place to enter an address, even though I told her the only options were for "University" and "Hotel." She said no one else was available, then she passed me to the driver, who promptly put me on hold and didn't come back.
Ya'll just lost yourself a customer. SuperShuttle, here I come! (I've just discovered SuperShuttle's website is user-friendly and has an easy way to enter your address by looking up your zip code first.)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
