The other store was asking $40 just to look at my Dyson, Jody looked at it and fixed it and didn't charge me anything. What a nice guy and a great place, I'll for sure come back and refer people here!

I have a Dyson stick vacuum and it went on the fritz. It lost most of its suction. Dyson has HORRIBLE customer service. I spent hours on the phone trying to get them to diagnose my problem using a video chat, and they sold me the wrong part twice!!

Finally, in desperation, I took it to Beals. Dyson doesn't play nice in the sandbox with any vacuum repair companies; so they can't get parts. However, the owner took one look at my vacuum and diagnosed it in 2 minutes. He told me to just buy the part I needed online. And he didn't charge me anything. Plus he gave me excellent advice. He's not a fan of stick vacuums in general, and said canister vacs are much better. But I love the convenience of a stick vacuum and as long as there are pros like this gentleman; I won't have to toss all my time and money at Dyson.

People like this will NEVER be replaced by automated customer service and remote video consultation such as Dyson uses.

Go to Beals! Buy your next vacuum there! Or fix your old one. They also had some cool older vacuums on display. And I'll bet those old ones work better and last longer than a Dyson.

So grateful for these small, yet essential business and the owners like Jody, who dedicate their life to running a service repair shop. I know rents must be high and for a $30 while you wait belt repair and unclogging of my wand on my dyson animal, i am most appreciative. The other small vacuum repair i went to previoysly has since closed, so grayeful i didnr have to deal with shipping vacuum back to dyson or driving to sf to find a repair. Thanks jody!

Jody was very quick to respond even on his day off. He charged me $75 to repair Dyson after I tried and failed and he did it. Will go back again.

Buying my Dyson DC-14 was one of the best investments I've made. Not only does my Dyson have to slurp up my fallen hair, but also the hair of two indoor cats. That's no easy job! Yet my Dyson keeps my home super clean and has lasted me more than ten years.

After foolishly not cleaning the filters for eons, I finally got on that only to realize the canister filter has a good tear. I called up Beal's and they had both the canister filter and the Hepa filter that goes below the canister. The Hepa filter was a bit costly at $34 (it is a genuine Dyson product while the canister filter is generic but works great), but when I arrived, the man behind the counter was able to hook me up with a small discount to buy both.

While at the store, we both marveled at how Dyson states the Hepa filter is a lifetime filter. It simply isn't a lifetime filter. Now that I arrived home and installed both filters and gave the exposed parts a good wipe down, I'm in awe at its renewed strength and cleaning abilities. I can again walk barefoot in the house, even next to the litter box, and my feet feel happy happy.

In addition to rinsing the canister filter every six months as the manufacturer recommends, I'll think I'll be replacing my filters every 3-5 years. I'm stoked to have Beal's nearby to replace these filters again in the future.

Give Beal's a call to see if they have the part you need or can service your vacuum. Be sure to confirm their hours (this is just a general rule of thumb for me when patronizing a small business) and head on down. I bet you'll be satisfied with the prices and service!

Beal's sells genuine Dyson parts - DC-14 Hepa filter shown - note the main canister filter they sell is generic but works great

This guy really knows his stuff.
I took my vacuum in because I used it on diatomaceous earth and it clogged it all up to the point where it just wouldn't work anymore.
He took a look at it, cleaned the filter and told me to finish vacuuming up the rest of it then bring it back. No charge for that first visit.

Meanwhile, I had taken it all apart to try to clean it out and I could NOT get that fine powder out. It continued to keep shorting out, so I started looking into buying a new one. It was a Dyson and I found out it would cost $600 to replace. I found other deals online but each one turned out to be a scam. So that was the price, no getting around it.
Besides being all clogged up, repeatedly short circuiting, and being coated in a film that was impossible to clean, a part broke off. But I figured as long as the repair cost was less than $600 it was worth it.
He fixed everything, got it working, professionally cleaned it, and replaced the broken part. When I picked it up it looked like it was brand new. The final cost: $80
This is the guy you want to go to.

Went in to repair an old dyson and walked out with a repaired and refurbished Hoover for less than $100 bucks.

After a lengthy talk with the owner, he was sure it would be a wasted effort to repair my Dyson and showed me a Hoover upright that was refurbished and I have been happy ever after

Brought our Dyson in for repair after wasting time at VIP REPAIR. (More about that after review). Jody was pleasant, rested and found the problem and told me the vacuum would be ready by Saturday (dropped off Monday). He called Friday to say that it was done. So I went in to pick it up and it was like new! Everything was cleaned and the problem with the brush was fixed! This shop is clean, was to get to and is someone I would recommend 100%.

VIP REPAIR had it for almost a month, didn't fix anything, didn't return phone calls and, after the vacuum had been picked up and read my negative review, left me a very volatile, rude and threatening voicemail where the owner not only called me a racist but threatened that if he ever saw me around his shop it would "end badly" for me and whoever I was with. Clearly Beale's was a way better choice!!!

We thought our Dyson was dead but it turned out it just had a blockage. Beal's cleared the block easily, and didn't charge us. We wanted to tip more, but my husband only had a few dollars in his wallet. We will be back!
