Mid-size Korean restaurant amongst the many other eateries on Alexandra Rd. It's in the back of Olympic Centre plaza. The actual front entrance of the place faces Alderbridge Way. Not many people for lunch on a weekday.

Menu is not big. When we went, lots of items were crossed off the menu, probably due to pandemic limitations. Has a number of soups and some classic Korean dishes and fried chicken on the menu. Their signature dish is galbijjim which is braised beef short ribs. Beef King's twist is that they add cheese on top and they will melt the cheese with a hand torch in front of your table. Got a medium portion. Portion is big enough for two, and the contents were tasty. The sauce has a little tomato-ish flavor, and the beef along with pieces of potato and daikon have soaked up the flavor. The melted cheese is mild but adds an extra and different texture to the dish. Also got an order of the pan fried dumplings, and those were okay. Overall the bill was $65 including tax.

We went for early dinner, so we were able to get a table right away, the inside has tables with dividers, and their menu has plenty of options of popular Korean dishes, which are some new to me.
      For this visit, we had;
Spicy grilled chicken- this came hot and sizzling, so saucy, crispy and cheesy, I enjoyed every bite of it, as it was crunchy, flavoursome, and the cheese completes the taste.
Grilled Boneless beef- the beef is so tender, and it has a strong flavour perfect with the rice
Seafood Pancake- full of different seafood and so crispy on top, the dip goes well with it.
Bibimbap- it was delicious like the other bibimbap. I tasted the combination of the ingredients were perfect

So far, all the dishes were satisfying, and they were all served hot, which is so perfect for the cold weather. The side dishes can be refilled if you ask, and the price is just right.

I Highly recommend checking this place, and I will surely come back to try their other dishes.

We noticed this new restaurant for a while, and just know they currently doing soft opening now.

We decided to try their specialty dish GalbiJjim and a soft tofu and seafood soup.
      * GalbiJjim - braised beef short ribs, back ribs (M) - the server will grill the cheese in front of you. The melted cheese with tender beef short ribs just blew up our mind. The sauce/soup is rich and flavorful. With the milky cheese on top, this is just make it 10/10.
The are some radish, rice cake and potato in it as well, which are all good with the braised beef.

Spicy seafood tofu soup - not much mix seafood in the soup, but lots big chunk of soft tofu and 5 big shrimps. Not bad but no surprise for this dish.

Even though the specialty dishes are not cheap, but I think it's worth it. Medium size is enough for three for sure.
We are looking forward to come back to try more dishes.

We drove by this place the other day and decided to give it a try. It wasn't an unpleasant experience.

I found this place so unauthentic. As soon as you walked in, all you could hear was unreasonably loud mandarin speaking broadcasting basketball game over your head. A Korean BBQ restaurant that didn't serve banchan. This was very disappointing.

We sat down at 6:45pm, the 1st item (chicken) came out in 15 mins. Then nothing! The restaurant wasn't very busy at the time. I gave them a surly expression several times during the wait. Suddenly they brought us a free plate of gyoza and apologized for the wait. I don't mean to be churlish, they just need to know it wasn't right. Anyway, at 735pm, they brought out our seafood tofu soup. We were not informed that the soup was extremely spicy. We understand that Korean love spicy food, but I have never been to a Korean restaurant that don't offer non spicy soup. On the menu, it didn't mention the soup was spicy. If the owner was to serve it as a spicy category, they should put a note on their menu or let the customers know. As a matter of fact, that wasn't our 1st choice to begin with, but none of the soup listed on menu was available. Interesting eh?! Finally at 746pm, no kidding, it took them an hour...to have our galbi Jiim on the table. Yet, galbi jiim wasn't tender enough to be served (both beef and potatoes).

I would not return, and I do not recommend this place.

Came here with my bf for dinner on a Saturday night. We were a bit surprised how little reviews this place had but we noticed that the ratings were high and that it just opened so we said to ourselves why not.

My bf got a medium sized Koh Galbijim which was a pot full of vegetables, potatoes, tteokbokki, braised beef short ribs, back ribs and ox tail topped with cheese. It comes with either rice or glass noodles at no extra cost. If you order this, there will be a little show. The waiter would bring the dish out with a torch and he would torch the cheese so it would melt. The tteokbokki was amazing! The texture was perfectly chewy and tender. If you are lucky, you may get huge abnormal pieces of tteokbokki because we did.

Yang Ji Sulung Soup: This was an ox tail soup with slices of beef. The soup was full of meat flavor and it wasn't too salty. Some of the beef were just okay because they were kind of tough but some were very tender. (4/5)

Overall, great service and staff were very friendly. We both enjoyed their food and their side dishes. The side dishes were unlimited and they give you such big amounts of them too. Will definitely be coming back.

Had a very pleasant meal here last night!! The side dishes were big and refillable, and the service was attentive and efficient. We ordered the beef soup (with tons of short ribs inside) and the piping hot bibimbap. Everything was delicious and we look forward to coming back again soon.
