The BEST Breakfast/Brunch Restaurant in the Lower Mainland. Great Food, Awesome ambiance & Excellent Service! We're so happy we finally found a restaurant that we will visit frequently! *Had the most delicious Eggs Benedict Ever!

Do NOT come to this restaurant. The lines are already too long, y'all are getting in the way of my dining pleasure
They make their own hollandaise
The staff are efficient, funny, and knowledgeable
The food is amazing-- generous portions, perfectly fresh, and artistically presented
But please find somewhere elseHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jan 25, 2024
I am not speaking firsthand on this visit to the big flat pancake. But my girlfriend went in there and had a very basic ham and mushroom omelette and a cuppa tea and the bill was $32 before tip. The only thing she subbed out were tater tots for hashbrowns. I will say they are a great restaurant and the food is good, but I believe that that is just too high price for a basic, two topping omelette and a cuppa tea.

The food, the customer service and the ambiance is all what brings people back to this brunch place time and again.
Long line ups during the limited hours of operation but its worth the wait. Like any other brunch place they also have choice of hot and cold drinks along with bowls, omelettes, pancakes and waffles .
Many sides like fruits, salads, potatoes and small kids meals are also available.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nov 20, 2022
I was really excited about this place as it's been on my list and it always has a long wait, finally today we got to try it out.
First of all, you have to realize it's small. They don't really have tables bigger than for 4, and they might be able to squeeze 5 but not for all tables so if you're 5 you have to wait extra long.
Second because it's busy on weekends the food takes a LONG time to come.
As for the pancakes - the pancakes themselves are quite good. Think of them as like thicker giant versions of those thin Swedish pancakes. Really smooth, sweet and great texture.
However the ingredients are just laid out on top. At least, the sausage somehow I had envisioned was embedded in the pancake, no it's just the delish pancake with some sausages on top. So I was underwhelmed.
My kids had waffles which they liked. The portions are quite filling and big.
However I was a bit underwhelmed by the entirety of it - the wait, and the stuff just sitting on top of the pancake. Not sure this place is worth the wait.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 10, 2021
A cozy, welcoming and precious gem in my neighbourhood. I love coming here for breakfast with my family, we seriously love this place.
Their servings are enormous and consistently good. You can tell they use quality ingredients and that they take pride in what they serve. What warms my heart is knowing that this is a local, family-owned business and that our patronage helps this lil gem thrive in the neighbourhood.
Personally, I love getting the cinnamon apple big flat pancake. It's just... perfect. There is nothing else needed to be said. Everything on the menu is good, but this specific flavour of their big flat pancake is absolute perfection.
I can keep going on and on about how good this place is, but you won't know until you try it yourself. So, if you're thinking whether this restaurant worth checking out-- I would say, pleaseeee please give them a visit. It will be worth it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Shayn N.Belvedere Tiburon, Tiburon, CA011Dec 29, 2023Updated review
Good not great.
I've visited this restaurant a fair bit, usually getting a pancake (crepe) which are quite good. I've tried some of their other items and they are slightly disappointing. Chicken and "waffles" is one waffle with three small pieces of chicken, both the chicken and waffle were very dry. Their omelettes are okay as well but nothing special. The service is quite slow. Always a line up to get a table even on week days and they rarely come around to refill drinks. For the hour and a half we were there I was offered a refill on water once but never received it. Same with my friend who ordered coffee, so she paid $4 for a very small cup. Unless you are going for a pancake, which they have so many unique flavours of, I would say don't bother going. The prices are relatively high for the small amount of food you get and for poor service.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 25, 2022Previous reviewFantastic food and so many different options! The only downside is they do not take reservations so you end up waiting 30-60 minutes outside for a table. But it's well worth it as the food is amazing, staff is friendly, and prices are good.

While the ambiance is lively and great for getting together with friends or family, and the food is excellent and worth the wait. Big Flat Pancake may be a victim of its success as the service is slow if they hire more employees to help clear the tables and make the food. It can go a long way to improve the turn of customers.

With the office shut down for an extra long weekend, a friend and I went to the Big Flat Pancake Co on a Friday morning. We arrived there right at opening, which meant generous parking at the strip mall, and our choice of seats. The place was new, clean, and the friendly waitress greeted us with great energy and enthusiasm so early in the morning. In the beginning I worried it would be only her doing all the serving, but as the morning continued and the place began to fill up fast, I was happy to see other staff members magically appear to help out in the busy place. And boy it was happily busy!
With many items on the menu, we both decided to order the based on the name, and chose a pancake option. Friend went with the colourful Los Cabos option, while I chose the more standard Choose Your Own Adventure (aka choice of meat and eggs). The pancakes came as the standard bigger/thinner Dutch Pancakes. Honestly my two poached eggs and three sausage patties looked a little sparse on the huge flat pancake, but by the time I finished the pancake I felt it was a good portion.
Overall I really liked the new/clean atmosphere, the long list of choices (there's much more than Dutch pancakes on the menu) and the friendly staff members.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shawnti J.Mill Creek, WA165145467Apr 5, 2023
