This business was incredibly efficient and helpful from the minute I reached out, to taking my car to Hans for repair.

My car is a 2014 Mazda and now being shared with my 18yo, new driver, son. It seems every time the car comes home, it has a new scrape, and now, a broken side view mirror. I was motivated to get it fixed, since it's a hazard for anyone driving.

Big K was the first to respond to my project, the first to ask for vin# to get estimate, and when we spoke, each worker was clear, personable and actually heard what the issues were.

I thought I was going to have to replace the housing and mirror, so the first estimate was over $600 with a Mazda part - housing replacement. Since my son was going to have to pay for this, cuz how else do they take ownership, he had a fit. "Let's just glue the mirror in place," he said. My son is over 6' and I am 5', so not being able to adjust the mirror wasn't going to work.

I called Big K and discussed my dilemma, and agreed to have a tech look at the mirror before ordering anything. Hans checked it out, looked behind the mirror, pushed it back into the cracked housing and sent me on my way in less than 10 minutes- NO CHARGE! He suggested we put super glue on the crack to increase strength.

How many places would do this??!! Most would have loved to charge me the full $600, whether I needed the repair or not. I can't tell you how much I appreciated their approach and work. My son's pretty happy too!

I came back to my car after work only to find my car had been broken into. I initially scheduled an appt that evening with a national glass replacement company but the appt wasn't until Monday. I wouldn't wait that long. My neighbor recommended Big K Auto Glass. I called them along with a few others and Big K had the best offer with the shortest amount wait time. And they would come to my condo.

Martin arrived about 30 mins from when I set the appointment and he got to work right away. I came back in 30 mins and he was putting the panel back and told me he just needed to clean up. He did such a thorough job and made sure everything worked properly. They made such an inconvenient mess so manageable and quick. Really appreciate Martin.

Oh, the joy of being in Oakland! You know... like coming back to your car to find your window smashed in. Such a great surprise, isn't it?! Well, this was the wonderful surprise that I got while coming back from my lunch break at work. Of course, there was absolutely nothing of value in my car, so nothing was stolen. When you've been in Oakland for this long, you know better than to leave ANYTHING in your car, especially in plain view. But, it still doesn't matter because I still got... got. But, I digress...

After discovering the smashed window, I opened up a project on Yelp to receive quotes for a replacement. I received about 5 different quotes, but Bessie from Big K was the most thorough. I called her soon after and she was able to send a technician out to my area within an hour. I couldn't believe how fast he showed up! It took him about an hour or so install the new window, and he cleaned up all of the glass inside of my car and in the parking lot where it took place.

They sent me an invoice through text and I was able to pay them easily through Apple pay. The price was competitive and was even a few hundred dollars less than the big name auto glass repair company. It also included the on site repair which was great. I'm still pissed that I had to deal with this unexpected expense, but so grateful that Big K Auto Glass was able to fix the issue seamlessly. They truly saved the day! Would highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of any sort of auto glass repair.

On our drive home last summer to LA, my family and I were victims of a smash-and-grab incident that happened near the Golden Gate Bridge. Aside from all the trauma and change of plans that come from that experience, we still needed to drive home. However, we had to get the rear window fixed before we drove the 6-hour journey. We first called Safelite but their next availability was in 2 weeks! I began yelping local businesses that do the same work and placed several inquiries. We went with Big K as not only were they one of the first availabilities (which was the next day) but that they would come out to us to fix it! So we found a hotel to stay the night and recover from the the day's stressful events. The next day, Ron from Big K showed up during our appointment window and was done in approximately 2 hours. We were impressed at how meticulous he worked and did a great job cleaning all the loose shards. Despite our situation, it was comforting to know that we were able to drive home safely and couldn't wait to get on the road! Thank you so much!

If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I contacted them for a quarter glass replacement after Safelite was a total waste. They were at my home the very next day and replaced the glass in under an hour. Not only am I impressed by how great of a job was done, it was considerably cheaper than other places I reached out to. And they also came to my home free of charge. I'd recommend them to anyone.
