Big O Tires

I've been putting off getting my tire patched, as there was a nail in. I booked online at a different location and had my appointment cancelled as they only do walk ins for patches. I called this location in the morning and to check then wait, I was told it would be about an hour as they had a few cars ahead of me. I dropped my car off and headed to a local coffee shop for a bit. 30 min later and my car was ready to go! And they didn't even charge me for it.

I don't know why so many people had issues with customer service here. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Would HIGHLY recommend for your tire needs!

Simply needed new tires, made an 11:00a, appt online and showed up early but was told "We had a lot of walk-ins this morning so you can wait 4-5 hours or you can come back in 3-4 and you'll be first in line." So I went home, then went back at 2:00pm and was told "about 1 1/2 hours." After over 1 1/2 hours I went to look at the progress on my car only to find it on the lift, rims on the ground, no tires. When I asked about it I was told "we don't actually have your tires," and "if you can wait a couple hours we'll get the tires here."

At this point I had a) made an 11:00am appointment with my exact tire size and manufacture preference, b) shown up early for my scheduled appointment only to be told to come back, c) had come back at 2:00 pm and told 1 1/2 hours, d) asked at 3:40pm to then be told they didn't actually have the tires and asked if I could wait again for a couple of hours.

Why does a simple 1 1/2 hour job have to cost me an entire day? This was a very unavoidable issue. Even the shop manager said I should never have been told to leave and come back. And how long would my car have been on the lift before anyone told me they didn't actually have my tires? I will never return to this Big-O.

Had a screw in my front tire, called ahead and asked if i could come in and get it patched, the kind man over the phone was super polite and friendly. Didnt catch his name i think its Jim? Not sure.
Immediately helped me, got my information.

My company truck is by lease plan which he had issues doing on the computer as its his first time and was waiting for a manager, no problem!
kept assuring me hes working on it and kept updating me of the issues
Never let me sit and wonder what was happening!
Super good service! I dont mind the wait.

The manager was still out so he just decided to get to work on my truck anyways and get me on the road again and he said hell figure it out later and if he cant then its taken care of and they just want to have me safe !

Great experience!!!! Needed new tires asap with lots of driving and Big-O Tires in San Mateo was awesome! Sam answered my call, was able to get my tires ordered, delivered, and installed in one day. Hate my car has run flats and two different sizes which makes it even more incredible to get this done so quickly) Will absolutely be back, I'm sure the full team worked to get it done, but if Sam wouldn't have been so quick and helpful I would have never known. Great job

I brought my car here today for new tires, and they were very friendly, but I was told that it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait and it ended up being two and a half hours wait and then when I went to pay they had done an alignment which I didn't ask for and wanted to charge me $250 extra on top of what they had quoted me, and then they took $100 off as a "discount" so I still ended up paying an extra $150 for a service that I didn't want and that I didn't need as the alignment had been done recently. Also they charged me approximately 175 for warranties that I didn't ask for. It feels very scammy, and I would absolutely not recommend coming here

Alonzo and the team always do a fantastic job every time I bring my cars to them. Prompt, courteous and always on time they deliver and exceed expectations! Would definitely recommend Alonzo as he will always take care of you.

terrible business they charge you extra and also they kept me waiting all day they told me it would be finished in 20 minutes it was finished in 5 hours and the problem was not solved I came again and waited for another 7 hours then they charged me extra I definitely do not recommend it except for the person with glasses no one cares about you no one cares about you from the employees!!!!!!

EXTREMELY BAD SERVICES! Don't go to this shop if you want to get in-time response. Upon arriving at the shop for a flat tire repair, I was greeted by a receptionist who instructed me to wait outside while they checked my car's status. After waiting for a substantial 10 minutes with no sign of anyone attending to my vehicle, I ventured inside only to find your staff engaged in casual conversation, completely disregarding their duty to assist customers promptly.

These guys are fairly irresponsible and don't respect the customer at all. It could take you 100 years to just check-in and drop your cars. The level of irresponsibility and lack of respect for customers displayed by the team is utterly unacceptable. It can take you 100 years just to check in and drop off a vehicle.
Not to mention how they will treat your cars. Expect the low quality service and be prepared for the delay!!!

They suck - poor work, never on time. Many better choices in the area. Took them over 2 hours to plug a tire after they told my son less than an hour. Not my first bad experience with them but definitely my last.

My tire light came on while I was driving back to San Mateo from the beach. I stopped by Big O the next day while I was out running errands and Sam took great care of me! He showed me how to check the amount of pressure my tires need and then filled up the ones that were low. I had no appointment, but they were able to help right away, and at no charge. I hope I don't need to return, but if something goes wrong with my tires, I will definitely come here again!
