This was one of the best meals I've had this year, and probably pretty close to the top of the the best meals I've ever had.

If you're a carnivore and are ready to indulge, the butcher's board is an absolute must. I had been dreaming of this board for a while after seeing a coworker post about it, and luckily when we had a team outing planned my persistent mentioning of wanting to come here landed this as our meal.

We had a group of 10 and ordered 2 butcher boards, with the addition of octopus, got some salads to start, and got a whole branzino. This was absolutely more than enough food, and while we did finish it because it was too good to let go to waste, many of us left uncomfortably full.

Everything on the butcher's board was fantastic. The steaks, the lamb, the shrimp, the lobster mac, all unbelievable. I've only recently started to enjoy lamb, and while I don't always like it, this one I loved. Just writing this review has me salivating and ready to go back for round two, which let's be honest, I was already thinking about round 2 the moment I left this place.

On top of the amazing food, we also had delicious desserts and cocktails, and wonderful service. I can't wait to come back here again!

My sister wanted to try this place because she saw it on TikTok! Without a reservation on a Wednesday night, we were seated in a corner at the bar. It was a very cozy spot with tasteful decor and plenty of ambiance.

Both of us wanted the Wagyu Burger but also had our eye on the Truffle Fries. Not wanting to triple up on fries since the burgers came with a side, we asked if the regular burger fries could be changed to Truffle Fries. Success!

The caramelized onions were cooked perfectly, complimenting the beef very well. The fries came out quite hot, and while they were truffle, the ones at the middle and bottom of the stack missed out on some of that seasoning.

I was very disappointed with the service. Despite having a reservation for 8 people and arriving on time, we were still made to wait almost 40 minutes. We were repeatedly told our table was ready, and at one point, we were even taken to the table, only to be told it wasn't actually ready and had to return to the waiting area.
The establishment is extremely small and dark and cramped, making it unsuitable for groups. Additionally, the quality of the food did not justify the high prices. We paid 300+ for the meat board with many different meats on it!
I had expected much more, but after this experience, I will not be returning.

      1 check-in

Saturday late afternoon with no reservations. Apparently there was a private party going on but they didn't tell us until after 15 minutes of waiting.
Came back a couple of hours later and the place was busy.
We ordered Feta Garides: peperoncini sauce was good. Mac n Cheese: cheezy but nothing special about it, and rack of lamb: "rack" but 2 pieces of lamb with salad?
Service was okay. No one really checked on us during our dinner. Disappointing honestly.
Street parking can be hard to find as expected.

This Castro steakhouse has been around for five years, but I had not been in this space since it was the popular tapas spot, Beso Bistronomia. However, my friend Carlos was coming up from San Jose, and knowing what a meat lover he was, I decided this would be an ideal place to meet for dinner. We didn't make a reservation, but we were seated in the dining room quite easily.

We must've felt ravenous because instead of starting healthy with a salad, we went right for the $19 copper pot of Crispy Calamari which was fried with paprika and served with the house aioli (photo: https://yelp.to/Jpj17Uot-T). That was gone fast. Quite addictive. For his entree, Carlos ordered the $39 Seared Pork Loin Chop, a thick, tender slab drizzled with caramelized sweet port sauce.

It was topped with button mushrooms (the menu said shiitakes), cippolini onion, baby carrots, potatoes, and chopped parsley (photo: https://yelp.to/69N6eBHQxT). Carlos was satisfied. I went for the $48 Rack of Lamb. Marinated in rosemary and thyme, it was seared well though a bit skimpy in portion. The marash and mustard enlivened the dish, but the lamb was not life transforming (photo: https://yelp.to/V068ZQEzcT).

We treated ourselves to dessert because well, just because. This is where they excelled. The $11 slice of Opera Cake was layered with coffee mousse, two layers of chocolate ganache, and fig jam (photo: https://yelp.to/n6sKYX-BsV). That was immaculately made. The $10 Salted Caramel Gelato was creamy goodness with crunched pistachios sprinkled for texture (photo: https://yelp.to/3P6Mr3xbXu). We were sated for sure.

FOOD - 4 stars...nice beginning, nice ending...carnivores may want more in the middle
      AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...a little dark, a little crowded
      SERVICE - 4 stars...pretty attentive
TOTAL - 4 stars...if you want meat and are willing to pay for it...

Food: Very very nicely seasoned. Personally love the prawns.
Service: The staff is very warm. We arrived around 9:30pm yet the staff still let us in and sit us down . This table is deep in the restaurant, in front of the kitchen counter and restroom.
Ambiance: They have a DJ at the door and the all ambiance is great!

Very cozy atmosphere, perfect for date night or a girls night out. When it's busy, it can noisy but well worth .

It's a popular spot so don't come starving. You may have to wait a little bit to get seated unless of course you make reservations.

The service was phenomenal from the time we walked in to the time we walked out.

If you are looking for high-quality cuts of meat and a unique dining experience in San Francisco, this is it.

I came here with a group of friends and we basically owned the back of the restaurant. I really loved the look for this place. The front is area casual lounge dining with a gorgeous bar and there's small seating area in the back with great art work on the walls and a front seat to the kitchen.

Our service was stellar and the food was incredible. Instead of everybody, ordering their own plate we opted for a family style. We ordered two wooden boards covered in potatoes, roasted veggies, lamb chop lollipops, steak, lobster, mac & cheese, fried calamari, and all the seasoning and sauces you could ever want! It was delicious, but I was blown away by the lamb chop lollipops. I've never had lamb so tender and juicy and literally fall right off the bone before. It was insane!

Truly everything on this board was delicious. From the creamy mac n' cheese to the tender steak and even the roasted tomatoes and peppers. We didn't stop there, we also got a ice cream trucks worth of delicious desserts. To be honest, by this point everything was a blur, but there was one dessert that tasted just like a Ferrero Rocher candy. Just ask your server about this dessert it is a must try!

I highly recommend this place as both a romantic get together or just belly up to the bar and have a few martinis. Thank you for everything, Blind Butcher!

Delicious food and great ambiance inside. We ordered the lobster Mac and cheese, the prime rib, grilled prosciutto and burrata, and the shishito peppers. We also got a dessert and it satisfied every sweet craving. Everything tasted good and the prime rib is a definite must get.

Im removing a star because the mocktail was $15 which I found outrageous considering it's basically just soda water! $15 was also the same price of a cocktail, I would think the mocktail would be a few dollars cheaper. Also, the serve. Also, the customer service was okay. The waiters were very friendly and kind, however they were not the most attentive.

Despite all that, I would still definitely come back to try more dishes

This dinner was amazing, I came here with a group of ten and we ended up sharing a lot of food family style.

The restaurant is so cute, they have a few seats available outside as well as tables inside. The lighting is low and it's a fun, moody and romantic vibe. While a group of ten was definitely pushing it, they did a great job to accommodate us and the service was excellent.

We had steaks, lobster mac and cheese, fish, cocktails, desserts and more. Everyone left full and satisfied and I think we'll all be thinking of this meal for a long time.

I already heard a few of our group members talking about coming back again.

One of my favorite bites was the lamb and surprisingly the tomatoes and onions were an amazing addition to our board selection.

      I'll definitely be back again!
