The food is so good! Don't even like beef but their beef dishes are bomb. The service is great and the tables can seat up to 8, and it looks like they have private rooms for even bigger parties.

Do know you need to reserve in advance for peking duck.

It's been several years since I've been back. I used to love the value and quality of the duck but unfortunately it's no longer there for me.

The duck was much smaller than before and a lot more expensive. Furthermore the taste just wasn't as good anymore.

I will say this with my entire chest: Best Chinese Restaurant Ever
I have been to a lot of chinese restaurants as a chinese person who grew up in the city so it takes a LOT to impress me. Usually I will like one or two dishes from each chinese restaurant I go to but here - I liked (almost) everything.

Peking Duck: to get an entire Peking duck, you need to order ahead! They do it Beijing style where it's not the fluffy white bread but rather something closer to a very thin wrap, like rice paper.

If you ordered the entire Peking duck, they'll ask you what you want to do with the bones. You can either fry them or make a soup. I will clutch your hands tightly and bore my eyes into yours when I say this: Get the SOUP.
Peking Duck (bones) Soup: It is so refreshing and delicious. There is no other way to describe this and it had noodles! Vegetables! And tofu!
      Speaking of soup:
Wonton Soup: what magic do they have on their pots because all their soups are amazing. It's Incredibly flavorful and delicious - I've never had a Chinese soup I've enjoyed so much like the ones I've had here.

Sweet and Sour fish: it's one of the more expensive things on the menu but it's delicious. Perfectly sweet and sour and it's fried! I am not a fish person - dare I say, I don't like fish! But MAN! After eating this, I'm afraid I just haven't had fish made for my tastes!

Honestly, everything was good EXCEPT: dry fried string beans. If you stalk me (which if you do - please stop), you will know that I judge a Chinese restaurant based off of their dry fried string beans and these were just MEH. Well maybe I'd love them more if the other dishes didn't completely blow me away.

Lots of great authentic and spicy dishes, however the duck was a bit dry for me. The cold noodles were amazing though and one of my favorites.

Peking duck and crispy shrimp so good that I came here twice in one month and subsequently gained 5 lbs. Points off for shoddy management of reservation timing (expect to wait up to an hour even if you have a reservation), indifferent service, and according to my friends, not the nicest bathrooms.

I've gotten the Peking duck for Thanksgiving takeout twice before but this year was the first time I finally dined in. The takeout duck was good the first time and a bit lackluster the 2nd time. However, both times I've had the duck while dining it, it was good. As other reviewers have pointed out, the skin lacks seasoning but it is one of the consistently crispiest without being fatty and greasy skins I've had. It also comes with sugar that you're supposed to dip the skin into and hoisin sauce for adding to the wraps.

The crispy shrimp is another standout dish here. As another friend said, possibly the best shrimp she's ever had. Most of the other food was good. The noodle and dumpling dishes went over well with the kids (and adults) in the group. The griddle cooked spicy tofu and tripe were both good spicy dishes.

It's a decently sized space but gets crowded with many people. Parking can be difficult on San Bruno avenue.

Good Chinese food place! Dishes are very authentic, and very flavourful. The mapo tofu tastes ma but is not too spicy, and the kung pao chicken is very delicious too! I would recommend getting the Black Pepper Angus Beef with Golden Garlic every time. The beef is quite tender and the garlic melts in your mouth.

The restaurant is a little outdated but still has a nice atmosphere, especially when the place is full. Service is a bit more hit or miss though. We were forced to move tables halfway through our meal because the staff seated us at a reserved table that was due to be seated in 10 minutes, and acted as though we took too long to eat, even though not all our dishes were served yet.

Got to try this place for the first time today after craving Chinese food! Parking was really easy and there were plenty of seats inside. Tables are clean and service was super fast. The owner was very friendly and suggested a lot of special Beijing-style dishes.

      We ordered:
      -spicy cold beef combo appetizer
-black pepper angus beef with golden garlic
      -Beijing style crispy shrimp
      -griddle cooked cabbage with pork

I have to say that every single dish was a 5/5 for me. The angus beef was tender and the garlic pieces paired so well with the meat. The crispy shrimp was seriously one of the best shrimp dishes I have ever had in my life. You eat the entire shell with the shrimp and it's so crispy and delicious! The cabbage had excellent wok flavor and stayed hot since they put it on a little stove. The beef appetizer came with a super large portion and was perfectly seasoned.

I will definitely be back here and it is now one of my favorite Chinese spots in the bay! They have a Peking Duck dish that I did not know took an hour to prepare (they make it to order), so I will definitely be calling ahead next time! :) Awesome spot!

      Food 4/5
      - Peking Duck 5/5 - not fatty at all, nicely deboned, meat was delicious, small duck was plenty for 4 of us, ordered 10 more pancake
-- bones made into soup 3/5 - need more vegetables and tofu
      - string beans with eggplant 4/5 - fried string beans were over cooked a bit but eggplant was perfect
      - crispy shrimp 5/5 - perfectly cooked and able to eat even the shells
      - salt and pepper fish 4/5 - larger pieces of fish than normal

Their dishes are not too salty which I appreciate. All well seasoned.

      Service 4/5
You order via code in table except for the duck which we pre-ordered. They had many servers to flag down. Food came quickly. Typical Chinese restaurant service.

      Ambiance 2/5
Very outdated restaurant. Pictures on Yelp look better than in person.

I would come back for the duck and try the rainbow salad dish.

So happy to be back again for a celebration!

Beijing duck was unanimously raved about as the best anyone's had in the bay. Crispy delicious skin

Lotus with mochi rice filling and osmanthus date sauce was beautifully plated and impressive looking and tasting dish overall.

鱼香肉丝 is on the sweeter side!

The highly anticipated squirrel fish was a showstopper and the technique to make it is really refined and controlled cutting which I attempted but couldn't do at home.

Look forward to trying hotpot next time, but the owner mentioned style caters to Cantonese palettes due to demographics here. So not as light and not as clear broth. Will be interesting

Ambiance is old time Beijing with the traditional plaque and wood carved ceiling

      Service was timely and helpful!

We were appreciative of how they let my reservation be pushed back by 30 minutes super last minute because boy, this place was PACKED for dinner.

This is a typical authentic Chinese restaurant with super loud diners, terrible service, but great food. Portions were perfect as well and we had a lot of leftovers for 6 people!

      FAVORITES

Beijing style braised lamb ribs, Mongolian beef, fried diced chicken with red chili, duck soup

Chow mein, Yang zhou fried rice - Average dishes that were neither bad nor good

Green beans with tofu - Green beans were dry but tofu was crispy and delicious.

Sweet and sour fish fillet - NOT worth the price. It was over -fried so the inside of the fish was like... not there. Also, sweet and sour sauce was too much and way too sweet.

Peking duck - Wasn't worth 80$ imo because it was pretty bland :/ Duck soup made out of the bones was fantastic though.
