Bowlero Chelsea Piers

I remember going here as a kid for countless number of birthday parties. Two years ago, I returned with some of my buddies on a Tuesday night. They have this special for $28, all you can bowl from 9 PM - 2 AM, shoes included. For a Manhattan bowling alley, that's not too shabby, especially for someone who loves to bowl more than just a couple of games. In addition, they have these free passes to Tuesday night bowling that they give out whenever you hit a strike with the colored pin as the center pin or whenever they feel like giving them out (messed up your order, ordered a lot of food and drinks, etc.), but those will be expiring sometime in February (probably due to the problems that occurred with Hurricane Sandy). The last few times I've gone here, I've bowled for free.

Sometime between my childhood and two years ago, they renovated the place. They added a full bar, and turned the place into more of a night, club style bowling alley. The place is very aesthetically pleasing to say the least. There's always music playing and huge televisions airing any important sports games.

The food and drink service isn't the greatest. Sometimes they take forever to come or simply forget your order. However, I come for the bowling, so that doesn't bother me too much.

As far the lanes, they sometimes have mechanical problems just like any other bowling alley, but they are usually good in fixing it.

In conclusion, I would only go here on special nights. Manhattan bowling alleys are simply too pricey for my wallet otherwise. When I do go on Tuesday nights though, I always have a great time bowling close to 10 games with my friends.

I attended a company-hosted event at Bowlero. It was a ton of fun and a great way to bond with coworkers. The staff at Bowlero were very friendly and accommodating. We got some type of bottomless package during the time we rented the lanes, and the staff checked in often to get refills on drinks.

The food was okay; it met my expectations for a Bowling spot. There was a decent spread of food options - salads, pizza (which I did not try), french fries, nachos, and sliders. (A lot of finger food for a sport that is very hands-on, specifically fingers-on!) So it was definitely the plan to eat first, then bowl.

There was one large table behind the lanes to sit down and eat the food. It would've been even better to have some more table space or high tables to put food down, since not everyone could fit at the larger table.

It is quite a large space, and has lots of activities for a big party.

Don't come here for bowling because the lane approach is short, the pins are on strings, and the toddler (nursery or corporate) in the party ahead of you spilled his drink and the floor is still sticky.

But if you need a fun event space, you could do worse.

I came here for an office event for about 60-80 people. The venue was quite spacious. We reserved 8 or so bowling lanes in the back right corner.

We ordered several platters of food. The pita and humus trio was great. The pita were fried and crispy and complemented well by the dips. I also enjoyed the veggie spring rolls, which were crunchy and flavorful, especially with the accompanying sweet and tangy sauce.

I played a round of laser tag and it was more fun than I expected. They don't allow running, laying on the ground, or shooting with one hand so it felt pretty accessible for those who are not super sporty. The gun was simple to handle and the course was easy to navigate.

Bowling was also fun. They had a range of ball weights at each lane and the games moved quickly.

All the employees and waitstaff were friendly.

They provided to-go boxes and bags for us so that we could take home leftovers and reduce food waste.

Everything was easy here. Getting shoes and getting to a lane was easy as well. Basically walked in and started bowling in under 5 minutes. Servers were quick to attend also.

Had such a great company event here. The staff is ON IT. They were cleaning plates, taking cups, and making sure the catered food was always clear and neat.

The bowling computers were easy to understand and I put names and rounds. I wish they had more cheesy 3d animations after every bowl instead of instructional slides on how to clear the pins.

The lighting is cool. TVs ahead of you. Clean bathrooms. Hand sanitizer stations. Plenty of bowling balls with easy XS/S in the same bowling ball or M/L.

Bowling, laser tag, and an arcade, plus a bar (and space for birthday parties). Located at Chelsea Piers, near the southern end, there are a lot of lanes and a bar centralized.

Drinks aren't bad at $9 for a Bud in a bottle, the food isn't too crazy expensive, although shoe rental for $9 and $14 a game is a little high. $42 for 3 games + shoes is a better deal slightly, but overall the normal city spendy.

At the bar, no table service for ordering, but they did bring the food out. Wings were ok, but nachos were good. Garlic parm fries were a hit, too. And people liked the colored drinks.

Also : good to hang out at if you're waiting for your kids to wrap an all day camp.

I went to an event that was hosted by my kids school. When I say they went above and beyond to make this one of the best experiences ever! We had half of the bowling alley with unlimited food and drinks. The staff kept the food, fruit and drinks coming. They even provided us with containers to take food home. They have a bar for any adults who enjoy a cocktail. You can start a tab or pay right away. They take cash,debit,credit.
The arcade was okay. Everybody played air hockey because the other games the kids didn't care for.
The best part was Laser Tag!!! I haven't had sooooooo much fun with kids, teens and adults in a while! You will get hot inside so don't wear anything heavy. They do have lockers you can rent to put your items in if you don't have anybody to watch it for you. I will definitely be coming back!

Came here for a work party. We checked in and they had our section ready to go stocked with cans of alcohol and appetizers on the side. It's pretty typical bowling food. The 5 star kicks in with the service!! They never took too long to get our drinks, and they always made sure we had a drink in our hand. They were strong and generous with the pour. Wish I got our servers name! Thank you for the great time.

Great place for bowling. Went there for the first time and was surprised to see so many lanes on both sides for bowling. In the middle are other arcade games. Perfect place as the name suggests. The food service was great as they kept checking on us every now and then during the game.

Bought tickets there for laser tag as well. Since the previous party had kids along, we moved it to the next slot, and unfortunately, there wasn't anyone who came for it. The good thing was the tickets were refundable

Well, folks, I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised by Bowlero. As a guy who's been around the block a few times, I've seen my fair share of bowling alleys--some good, some not so great. Bowlero stands out as a solid choice if you're looking for a fun, laid-back evening.
