Racist. This place denied my 75yo mother who is traveling in business class on Qantas and is oneworld sapphire entry to the lounge. She meets multiple criteria required for entry into the lounge. Cassandra was unhelpful and i heard the way she spoke to my mom over the phone. I would be very concerned if this is the customer experience you provide to "elite travelers" multiple other guests were going in without any issue and she refused to let my mother speak to anyone else. So to recap. A 75yo woman with bad knees flying a business class 15 hour flight and a oneworld sapphire was asked to leave and walk to the AA lounge in another terminal. I shudder to think how they would treat somebody who didn't have business class or oneworld status. Why would any one world flyer go here??
No attempt was made to call the wheelchair assistance to take her to another lounge.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 1, 2024
Dropped by the other day to have a snack and relax before flying out with British Airways. Entrance to the lounge is next to gate A5 where a uniformed staff member greeted me into the lounge. There was a set of stairs of lift to access the lounge on the lower level.
The lounge itself is spacious and broken out into a First dining room, cold buffet, hot buffet, self-service bar, along with plenty of seating. The lounge was bright and perfect for plane spotting.
The hot buffet was a touch lacklustre with rather dry salmon and rather dry chicken thigh with mushroom sauce. The rice pillaf was also a touch dry...bummer. The asparagus and pea soup were decent though.
The highlight of the experience was the a la carte ordering via the QR code at the table. The burger was phenomenal. The brioche bun was fantastic and the beef patty was juicy. The butter leaf lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese all complemented the burger extremely well.
Lounge staff were readily available to help.
Boarding for the 777 for Club World and First are from the lounge.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 2Oh no 0 - 20218518Apr 25, 2024
Very nice!!! We got access to the lounge using Alaska miles to fly Business class on JAL to Japan.
We were able to recharge for a couple of hours before our flight out of San Fransisco. There was a person checking our credentials before access to the lounge and provided us with a paper paper boarding pass. Upon entry into the lounge, the staff were so friendly and attentive!! Food selection was good with a great presentation, and no bar tender....it's mix your own with a full line up of alcohol and beverages.
Lots of seating and places to recharge your devices.

Stopped by the British Airways lounge while flying business on Eva Air. We were given vouchers upon check-in and were happy to see the select of buffet food and drinks before our flight. They also have Betty Buzz sparking soda which I was excited to try!
Another bonus is that if your flight is at the bordering gates you can board directly from the lounge. That was the case for our flight out of A9.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Bballer F.San Carlos, CA03132Jun 17, 2024
Note: the 1:30pm opening hour listed on Yelp is wrong. I was there at 9:30 am and the lounge was already open.
I was able to access the BA Lounge with a JAL Premium Economy ticket.
Limited hot food options - see photo.
They also had a small selection of cold vegetables, cookies, and brownies.
Bar that was staffed.
NO bottled water.
Plenty of seating when I arrived at 9:30am but it quickly filled up thereafter.
Very clean including the restrooms.
One alcove area, that a family w a crying baby utilized.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 858953695Dec 29, 2023
This lounge wasn't crowded when I visited, though there were still plenty of people there. There's a limited selection of hot foods, not plentiful but enough to give you a bite to eat. There's a self serve drinks station, water station, an espresso machine, and some cold food options in the back area. A lot of variety of seating here (couch, tables, high tables, etc), some with charging outlets readily available.
Entrance is on the main departure level, the actual lounge is at the boarding gate level, you take an elevator down after check in. On certain flights, you can directly board from this lounge without exiting back to the terminal when flying business/first.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 16, 2023
Love the British lounge, is located by the Gate A5. Love the ambiance of the lounge, they have the drink bar when you walk in. The resting area has dim lighting to allow resting, Service is great, they are very attentive. Food is great, love the potato salad with asparagus.

Compared to the French Airways Lounge which I usually stay at, this lounge feels more organized and less crowded. The one downside is that the lounge closes at 11:30 am which is super early. The food options are a little limited as well.

Meh just about sums it up. SFO isn't really a BA hub so I guess it's to be expected.
The place itself is a little old and in definite need of an update and a serious makeover to prevent it from looking run down. Most other lounges look better and less outdated. Some of the amenities were broken, too. Having better ambience would definitely make a huge difference given the limited space.
The food is average. Mostly pre-made sandwiches and snacks. They aren't great either. At least there is decent selection of alcohol; all self-service and no bartender though.
If it wasn't for the good service this would have been 1 or 2 stars. At least when we went the staff was friendly and on top of things.
I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to come here and would recommend looking for alternative lounge options if available.Helpful 15Thanks 0Love this 12Oh no 0
