Broadmoor Cleaners Laundry & Alteration

I've come to Broadmoor for all my alteration needs. Shay and her seamstress have perfectly altered several suits, a really complicated jumpsuit/gown, and my prized Ivy Park mesh jacket. Each piece was finished with precision and an excellent tailored fit. After so many successful (and challenging) projects there's nothing I wouldn't trust giving to Shay and her team. On top of that, Shay is so sweet, transparent, and goes above and beyond to make sure I understand everything that's happening and am okay with any changes before executing. She even offered to FaceTime me once to walk me through the alterations process. So happy with all her work and love her sweet personality!

I've longed to find a dry cleaner near me because I don't want to give into subscription services or find a place that would ruin my clothes. I knew about this place since I do laundry a couple doors down, but I always saw that they were closed on Sundays. I'm thankful you can get a quote via Yelp and that's exactly what I did.

I inquired 8/16 to see how much dry cleaning would be for a flannel jacket I absolutely love. I'm glad I also checked the label before I decided to wash it since it mentioned dry cleaning only. I was quoted roughly $16 for my jacket, but in person it was around $27 due to the wool material it was made out of. Shay got back to me immediately and responded to all the questions I had before coming in that afternoon. However, please check in with her since different items and materials will have different costs associated with it. I thought $27 was fair.

Shay does accept credit cards, but there is a 4% charge for each transaction. My overall total came out to be a little over $28. If you do not want to pay additional fees, I'd recommend bringing cash for any dry cleaning you need. ALSO - THIS STORE IS NOT OPEN SUNDAYS.

I forgot to mention that there is a discount if you pay with cash! Not too sure how much it is, but the preferred payment for this store is cash although they do accept card.

The store was slightly busy, but my interaction with Shay went super quick and she's SOO sweet. She rang me up, and we had the nicest interaction while going through everything. She asked me when I needed my jacket by and I mentioned that I was flexible. She quoted me EOD Monday and off I went.

I came by to pick up my jacket around 5pm and it was ready to go! She does offer you a hanger to bring your clothes home, but I denied since I had a bag and I have too many hangers at home. They do recycle hangers as well!

Definitely pleased with my experience and definitely will be back for additional dry cleaning.

Shay came through for me last week when I flew to the Bay Area for a family gathering/ celebration. I needed a same-day service (on a Saturday) for my coat which got wrinkled in my luggage!

We dropped it off at noon and picked it up at 5pm all nice and no wrinkles! And she gave me a reasonable price!

I think everyone in Daly City knows about Broadmoor Cleaners so they've been around for quite a while. Only thing that I am not a fan of is there is no clear menu or prices avaialble anywhere to easily see how much something might cost. This means you have to go in-person, or send them a message for a quote. If you are there in-person sometimes you can kind of see the pricing they have on the computer screen when they are inputting your information and I think depending on the type of work you need done they can sometimes adjust the price accordingly.

I've gone here twice now for alterations and tailoring. The first time was for a Uniqlo blazer that was too long and needed to be shortened. I also had a pair of dress pants where the stitching had become undone on one of the leg openings. From what I remember it cost about $80 to shorten the length of the blazer and $20 to resew the dress pants leg. Took them about a week to complete since I told them no rush. Got the blazer/dress pants back and everything seemed fine. For the blazer, I started wearing it for work and noticed the right side pocket didn't seem to have the best sewing done as I could feel a weird gap or hole in the corner of the pocket. Other than that, the blazer itself looked and felt as intended.

My girlfriend had to alter a bridesmaid dress here too, and they quickly got her measurements and quoted $125 to shorten it. Caught us both a bit off guard as we were expecting it to be around $100 or less to do this, but the reason they gave was because of the amount of material they said they needed to cut and resew. Since we were already here we decided to just do it. Dress got finished within a few days. Nothing wrong with it once picked up and it fit her how she wanted it.

The second time I came was to fix an Express blazer I had that developed a hole in the pocket, and the inner lining of the sleeve had become completely undone. I had gotten this blazer tailored a bit at another store in SF for work, but I guess the wear and tear was too much for it to handle. Broadmoor cleaners quoted me $20 to repair the sleeve and $12 to fix the pocket, both of which I think are reasonable prices. They even got it done same-day, as I got a text from Shay it was complete about an hour and a half after I had dropped it off.

Cash is recommended to pay. Credit cards cost you an extra 4% on top of what they charge you.

Excellent, prompt service for both cleaning and alterations. The best dry cleaner in Daly City-Shay has excellent customer service, and having used Rinse, I find her prices reasonable!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat. I have been going to see Shay for the past 6 years and she has always taken care of me above and beyond. Wether it be she stays past her business hours or the speed of service, she never fails. Her workers are always fast and diligent and she will always make sure you are taken care of to your satisfaction. Pricing is more than reasonable. This is all without mentioning how much of a kind and caring person she is. She always has a story, always has a smile on her face and I always look forward to seeing her. You're the best Shay! Always recommend this as my go-to tailer and dry cleaners!

Shay and her team are amazing. have done several alteration here and dry cleaning. my alterations have been simple, but still the turnaround time has been less than 24 hours. I love that she texts you when things are ready. They are customer service based to the max! A rarity to find these days. i'm just sorry it took me so long to find them.

I found this hidden gem online and it was highly recommended by a couple of friends that I knew. I came in and got a couple alterations and some dry cleaning done. It was alot that I was asking for but the service was absolutely amazing. Shay was the one who greeted me with a smile when I first came in, her attention to detail with each customer was what got my attention the most. She was very polite, delicate with each clothing and helpful with any recommendations. Her pricing was reasonable but the quality and service that she gives come second to none. I was very surprised with the turn around time as it was very quick. The work that was done was absolutely flawless. Shay and her staff are amazing. Highly recommend this place.

I came in around 3:15pm on a Monday to look into a dress alteration. They quoted me $125-$150 for JUST the length which is more than I paid for the dress. I instead asked to get measured to get a custom dress made and the woman said "well you need an appointment but since you're here I'll do it". I was fine waiting, but it turned into about a 20 min wait because other people were coming in around me and she kept stopping her measurements to ring other people up, many of them who had larger orders, and then would chat with them for a longer time and each time reference to me "see how busy I am? This is why you need an appointment but its fine you're here". I was so uncomfortable that she kept mentioning it in front of all of these walk in customers. After about 20 min she measured me and seemed unsure about the measurements she was doing on me. I definitely won't be going back for any services. The whole interaction was unfortunate and now I know better than to come back.

Came in to get some clothes laundered and altered, owner was easy to communicate with and the job got done as expected.

Shay and company were quick to respond on Yelp and gave concise information. Got a suit dry cleaned, hemmed and altered. Results were great and will definitely return for my tailoring needs
