Who knew I could get a great burger at a decent price with a supermarket?! The smash burger is delicious - it's flavorful + filling but not overstuffed and oozing all over my hands. I have also had their pulled pork (I think it's not currently on the menu), cheesesteak, fries, onion rings - all great. Service is fast considering there are only 2 friendly guys making all the grub! They are proud of their operation which says a lot these days. I will definitely be back!

If you want an amazing cheesesteak, look no further than Brooklyn Beef'N'Cheese!!! I was in NYC in the Financial District for work during April. Looking for restaurants in FiDi on Yelp, Brooklyn Beef'N'Cheese was one of the highest-rated cheesesteak restaurants in the area!

The address location had me walking to 70 Pine. I didn't initially see the restaurant and asked someone inside 70 Pine where it was located. He had informed me it was inside City Market, which was right outside the opposite side of 70 Pine on the right corner. Inside City Market, there is a wide range of different restaurants. Towards the end of City Market, you'll find Brooklyn Beef'N'Cheese!

The team member who was assisting me was so helpful! I had informed him that I was from out of town and asked him what he would recommend! He mentioned the beef cheesesteak would be the best! I omitted the peppers and onions, as well as the garlic aioli. Instead, he substituted the garlic aioli with butter on the bun!

The payment for the order was a little different! He provided me with the receipt to pay at the city market. I found the registers at the city market. One of them didn't work, so I had to go to another register. After I paid, I then returned to Brooklyn Beef'N'Cheese to show the paid receipt.

Since this was a to go order, he wrapped up the sandwich with aluminum foil, and I returned back to the hotel I was staying at. The cheesesteak was still warm!

It was delicious!! The beef was so flavorful! It was juicy and tender! There was so much beef in the cheesesteak! It was an amazing portion, and the price wasn't too bad, approximately $15.00 for the order!

The service was great and the food was outstanding! I'd highly recommend stopping here if you're in FiDi and craving some cheesesteaks!

Not coming back here again. Shady stuff. I ordered just a Spicy Beef Cheese steak. The guy rings me up and there are 3 add-ons that I didn't ask for that he charges me for. I didn't say anything because at the end of the day $3 isn't worth me getting into an argument with someone making my food.

One of the 3 items they tacked on is listed as included in the price of the Spicy Beef Cheese Steak, so that's even worse. If you are having issues with costs and inflation, just change your menu prices, don't do underhanded things to overcharge me.

You just lost a customer. So enjoy those $3 and realize you just lost a revenue stream and got hit with a bad review for shady business practices.

Tacked on 3 'extras' that I didn't order.

There was 1 guy running the shop, and he was a fast cook and had very friendly service. Gave the rundown on every sandwich and directed me to the OG. It was packed with flavor and the bun was nice and toasted. There is a nice area to eat as well. Great place!

Could I have a full NYC trip without getting a chopped cheese? Unfortunately there's not a ton of bodega's in the financial district when we realized this but we did see Brooklyn Beef N Cheese was close with great ratings. We mapped out the location but took us a minute to realize it didn't have it's own store front. It's actually inside a little market. I was staring around and caught the outline of the name of the place.

We hopped into and walked around the back. There's actually a few food options back here but I don't remember the other spots. I was laser focused on getting here. I placed our order for a chopped cheese combo, we were given tickets and I paid out front and returned with the receipt. The chopped cheeses are cooked to order so we had a bit to wait, but it's not long.

When the order was complete, I realized it was to much food because the chopped cheese is hefty but it also came with a massive personal serving of salad. The salad looked fresh and was a good option since we were surviving on pizza, burgers and tacos mostly on this trip.

First bite of the chopped cheese and got to say, it was awesome. Sloppy but awesome. The salad was also awesome. Seemed like really fresh produce and I needed the greens. The combo also came with a drink. Would recommend this place if you're in the financial district and looking for a chopped cheese. They also have cheese steaks as well as other sandwiches.

I'm not sure what has changed since my last review but this is a very different experience. Part of me hopes that there is new ownership, because the bread has changed and the quality so this has changed. Lately, whenever I try to pick up a sandwich I wait with what you see in the picture attached. I've spent 15 minutes or more than one occasion waiting for somebody to come back behind the counter, and today I left as I have the past couple of times to go get something else to eat. I understand the times you talk so increasing the prices doesn't bother you that much. However, the sandwich size dramatically reduced to the point where it almost makes no sense not to just go to a deli or a Subway sandwich store.

Brooklyn Beef N' Cheese is fantastic but I will say that their Philly cheese steak is a lot better than their chopped cheese. The service is a little slow but it's not a problem for me as it's made fresh. I am also sure that there's a way to preorder if necessary, but good things come to those who wait! It tastes best fresh anyways.

I believe that it's reasonably priced and well worth it. Definitely get the onion rings too- can't have a sandwich like this without sides! The chopped cheese was a bit soggy IMHO and had too much going on. The Philly cheese steak, however, was absolute perfection. The steak was juicy and tender and complemented the red peppers that were a necessity. Do note that they no longer have their garlic bread and didn't update the menu to reflect that. All in all, if I'm ever in Wall Street I would stop by again. By the looks of it, there are a lot of regulars and tourists here which is great, glad to see they're doing well and rightfully so.

Philly Cheesesteak- much better than the Chopped Cheese IMHO

The restaurant is located in a market with other various restaurants and stuff. I ordered online takeout and got a chopped cheese combo with fries for 19$ (23$ after taxes). The service was great, the worker made sure I had eveything I needed. I never had a chopped cheese so I wanted to changed that.
The chopped cheese was pretty disappointing for the most part, it was pretty average for me but tasted better with some bbq sauce. It could be that I don't really like chopped cheeses or that there chopped cheese wasn't the one for me. The fries were alright, just standard for the most part. Definitely Wouldn't go back here again for a chopped cheese but they have other interesting items that I would try.

Good beef and cheese sandwich, if not a bit messy. Would not recommend if you have a business meeting lunch, you will need some alone time for this bad boy. The location confused me a bit because it is a kiosk inside a supermarket.

Very average cheesesteak sandwich that I will never consume again in my life; next time I'm craving one of these, I'll either make my way to Olde City or Wogies, or even hop on the Philly-bound Amtrak. Thank you, BBNC, for helping me understand the value of not settling.
