      This owner is a complete jerk! No customer service and a tyrant when it comes to parking in his lot. I parked there to check the store out and he assumed I was getting donuts and came out of the back entrance and YELLED at me for for parking in his spots. He had sticks in orange cones that say parking for his customers only, yet when you park there he immediately wants to come out and be a jerk. DO NOT EVWR SHOP HERE!!!! Guy is an complete jerk.

      My wife and I had been discussing the merits of replacing two recliners in our living room for about six months.
      As with most shoppers these days we started our shopping online to decide colors and styles that may be available.
      Over the next few month, my wife decided color and style she desired. Since any taste I might have, is in my mouth, I trust her judgment over mine almost all the time.
      On a Saturday we embarked upon our quest to see the types of recliners (shapes, sizes and colors) that might be available.
      We visited store after store with little of any success.
      As we decided to head home and count our efforts for the day as a "good try", my wife indicated there was one more store she had noticed and wanted to make this our last stop. I was good with that.
      This store was in Castro Valley. We arrived, parked and went into the store.
      The store was full of furniture. As we browsed, my wife discovered exactly the look and style she desired.
      The owner was more than helpful and within ten minutes of our arrival, we had decided on the particular chairs we desired. The owner helped us by calling around to see if the chairs were available in fabric. They were and two days later our picks were delivered tonight home AND the old chairs were hauled away.
      Five stars on this review:
      - floor staff knowledgeable
      - called around and make attempts to find what we desired
      - delivery personal we're prompt, efficient and concerned that we were happy with the delivery. This was even to the point of asking me to sit in each chair as it was delivered to make certain all the functions were working correctly.

      THANKS SO MUCH BROTHERS FURNITURE!!!

      Not sure what the other reviews are about but we just came in and dealt with Dean. Great guy, very knowledgeable, wasn't forceful, walked away happy. In fact, we bought a new bed frame, and will be back to get a sectional soon. Pricing is fair and free delivery and set up if you're within the area. They will also take your old furniture for you all you have to pay is the recycling fee.

      Always a good deal.. Take advantage of the 0% interest for 16 months. Nice people . There is a lot of merchandise and catalogs to look through.

      I was interested in buying a memory-foam mattress that was advertised on a signboard outside for $299 (queen size). When I examined it, the mattress was completely unmarked -- no brand name, no tag at all (aren't they all legally required to have tags?). The saleswoman didn't know what brand it was. Moreover, the mattress was not available in any other size (I wanted full).

      The saleswoman's English was heavily accented and very difficult to understand. I had the feeling that some significant miscommunication was bound to occur.

      I asked about the return policy. Many mattress discount houses allow even as much as 120 days of sleeping on it to determine whether you are satisfied with the mattress. Brothers Furniture allows only one day (even though the posted policy seemed to allow at least three days). Moreover, if you tried the mattress for one day and didn't like it, you couldn't return it for a full refund. You had to pay a 20% restocking fee. This policy seemed to me completely unreasonable.

      All in all, I completely lost confidence that I would be satisfied with a purchase here. I walked in ready to buy after an earlier visit, but after I delved into the details, I eventually walked out without a purchase.
