Buono's Flooring

Buonos Flooring recently installed an engineered hardwood floor in my Manhattan studio apartment. The experience was excellent +++, from the on-site estimate through the finishing touches. I did not have any references other than those I saw on Yelp, and must say that that made me nervous about using them.

My building is a coop, and both the board and the management company are very strict about work done in the building. Buonos' owner, Lou Jr., patiently, professionally and efficiently worked through several rounds with them. He was also very understanding about the shifting schedule and worked with me to allow me to schedule the rest of the work.

I had gotten three estimates for the job -- Lou's was competitive with the others but somewhat lower, Additional materials were required as a result of requirements added during the approval process, but Lou did not use that as an excuse to overcharge. He also was kind enough to provide me with a floor covering to lay down over the new floor to protect it during the rest of the renovation.

Lou and his team provided a quality job, with customer service second to none. The floor came out beautifully. The crew worked quickly and efficiently - -they paid great attention to detail and painstakingly cleaned the floor after installation. There were a couple of areas where the excess flooring glue had not been removed, and Lou sent the team over and they removed the bits of glue and re-cleaned the floor beautifully. This was after I had made full payment.

I would not hesitate to recommend Buonos flooring!!

Buono's Flooring was absolutely fantastic in terms of customer service, price, and finished work. Jeannette was especially helpful in making sure I had the correct quotes and insurance documents for my building, and was extremely patient, responsive, and courteous. I felt very pleased with the quote which was given to me, and the team was very flexible in working around my home repair schedule.

Overall I cannot recommend Buono's enough and encourage you to give them your business !

Jeanette is phenomenal and a wonderful office manager. She was responsive and always accessible, and was the only reason we chose Buono's compared to its competitors.

That said, everything else we experienced fell short; Jon came and did the estimate/walkthrough initially and mentioned he would provide oversight to his team, and we proceeded to engage them to install wooden floors into our co-op building. However, he was nowhere to be found after that initial meet and subcontractors who were constantly delayed and untimely showed up on several occasions which left us with a poorly done job (wires everywhere, a closet space completely missed, and obvious gaps against walls). This was unacceptable, and unfortunately my husband had to go back and forth with them until the workers returned to do proper finishes. This was 2 years ago.

***So providing an update In a matter of two years, there are already several obvious gaps between wooden panels showing up in multiple locations across the apartment.

I did not use this service, but business is Very responsive and great communication. Gave a fair price/estimate, unfortunately, my tenant was pressed for time and had to move in ASAP.
I will use this business in the future

Excellent service. Office staff very helpful. Owner, John was exceptionally nice. We had an issue & he agreed immediately and had his men do an amazing job. They covered & protected my kitchen & furnishings. With refinishing a wood floor it's always going to have dust. They did their very best to keep it area where floor was. I definitely recommend them

If I could give them 6 stars, I would. Buono's Flooring was just fantastic to work with -- from start to finish. John was patient, kind, and walked me through the whole process (even navigating around my daughter's schedule and work phone calls and all the rest.) They showed up on time, did the work efficiently, communicated all the way through. I honestly cannot say enough good things about them, and I'd recommend them with the utmost enthusiasm to anyone who has floor work to be done. Another thing: I have zero idea what I'm doing when it comes to home stuff, so if you're in that same boat, I'd recommend them. John's truly a great guide through it all, and I always felt like I was being dealt with fairly and honestly.

This company is wonderful. We had an incredibly tight timeline and they effortlessly worked with us. They removed our laminate flooring and installed engineered hardwood in our apartment. They were incredibly responsive and I mean would answer any question and any email within a couple hours. They helped us find the floors we wanted based on our vision. They completed all the work ahead of time and it was beautiful. Anyone who walks in compliments our floors. They are also very reasonably priced and we got several quotes. I highly recommend this company Lou and John are wonderful to work with and provide high quality work.

It took me less than 2 quotes from requesting a quote to having my floors completed. Very happy with the very response and courteous staff. My floors look beautiful, I am very happy.

This is my 2nd time using buono flooring. We got our bedrooms redone and stairs. The master bedroom had some deep scratches that I didn't think would come out but they assured me it would. The floors came great and you can't even see the damage any more and looks new !!
