The tofu burger is. Same with the portobello. Just ask for no mayo. I think the veggie patty is like a garden burger, so probably not. Get the tofu burger. It's yummy!

It's been years since the last time I've been, but came back and is still as great. Friendly service. Pub-like feel. I love the display of beer tap handles along walls. It's fun to find your favorite as you wait.

I had the mushroom swiss burger, which was perfectly made medium rare (by choice). I got the side salad with vinaigrette. The clam chowder was really good too.

Burgers and Brew is a classic downtown Sac staple - especially after a show at Ace of Spades or a strong drink at Shady Lady or Snug.

The food is usually great - today the garlic curly fries were under and the burger (medium well) was just well done.

We sat outside, it was clean and the music wasn't terribly loud.

The service was very kind, but the food was dreadfully slow.

I've had many 5 star experiences here, but today wasn't it.

The burger was great, but the fries cost extra and were not as crispy as they should have been - I would have sent it back, but I was starving since the burger took 35-40 mins to be done.

      Again, the service was kind.

Definitely go here if you need a delish bit to eat.

Ordered a burger, it was very dry, the lettuce and tomato seemed towards end of life, onion ring seemed stale and old. My partners food was the same they just didn't eat any of their food. In top of that the wait was super long to get the food and once it did it wasn't that hot.

The only thing it has going for it is a decent ambiance.

We had some time to kill before our show at Ace of Spades so we walked around the neighborhood looking for somewhere to go for lunch. We liked the menu here and I was in the mood for some Cider so this place fit the bill.

I ordered the Chicken Philly with a Schilling cider and my buddy got the Chili Cheeseburger with a Snake Bite. We were served the drinks immediately by the cashier who was also great at answering the questions we had. We grabbed a table and hung out waiting for the food. The food came quickly and was pretty darn good. Service here was quick and attentive. Whevever we were done with a plate a worker came by and took it away. They also asked us if we wanted another drink.

Prices are pretty reasonable too. I would certianly recommend this spot for a casual meal and a beer.

Solid spot for a burger, fries & beer.

Chili burger: 5/5 Medium rare & a balanced portion of each ingredient. Love how it's handheld & is everything you could want in a chili cheese burger.

Buffalo Fries: 3/5 I think these sounded better than the combination actually was. The fries weren't as seasoned as I would've liked but there was a good amount of chicken & cheese on it!

Service: 5/5 Quick service & checked in on us multiple times.

Ambiance: 5/5 Old school bar sort of feel inside. Love the lighting.

Grew up with the one in Davis & when I'm around Davis or at a concert in Sac this is always a good option.

Casual place with beer, burgers and great people watching. Great selection of beer choices. Have been at their other place in Davis and had a wonderful meal there. This one? Not so much.

There was nobody in line at the register where you order. I stood there for quite some time as staff passed by without acknowledging me. Not the best first impression. Kinda felt like the invisible woman. Once a staff member noticed me, the interaction was friendly and efficient, though, but there really was no excuse for being ignored like that. They were NOT busy.

Liked the numerous burger options. You have your choice of a burger alone or burger with salad or fries. There were quite a few burger options as well as other options.

We ordered our burgers cooked medium and got them very rare. There was waaaaaaay too much mayo on mine too so the burger was falling apart. Between raw meat and mayo, the bread gave way and it wasn't pretty. LOL. My salad side was a nice portion and quite tasty, though. My friend's fries WERE good.

We sat outside on the patio. Great vibes out there, with good people watching. Dog friendly is always a lovely thing to note too! Staff did come out and check how we were doing and to offer refills.

Parking around here was a pain as there are many restaurants within those couple of blocks. It was quite a walk, but -- as I said -- great people watching and I liked the opportunity to stick my head in a lot of the places I haven't been to yet. Man, that area has certainly changed. LOVE how they are updating the older architecture down there. Added to my list of places to try -- and that's always a good thing for an opinionated foodie such as myself. LOL

The pictures may not do this place justice but this is a great spot for burgers! There are many options to find something just for your taste and the fries are amazing!! The staff is friendly and they come around fairly frequently to pick up plates and empty cups, even though you order from the counter. They have indoor and outdoor seating so when the weather is nice their outdoor patio is the place to be!

I arrive hear around 10pm on a Friday and almost every table was taken. A party had just left and I rush to the table to save some seats for the people in my group. I let the server know to clean the table and she was nice and cleaned the table quickly. The service was phenomenal.

Next the food. I ordered The Breakfast Fries. This was with fries, bacon over easy egg and cheddar cheese. I made some modifications, sunny side up instead of over easy, well done fries, and pepper jack instead of cheddar.

Honestly the pepper jack wasn't spicy at all which is ok. But I love the combo of the Sunny side up and the fries. I like to get fries well done because with the egg yolk or sauce, I don't want my fries to be soggy.

I also had try some of the burgers which is good, however I would advice not to get the sandwich. I tried the ham and cheese and there was nothing special, I felt like I could make this at home.

Also I've been here several times but never notice that they have a heater outside!

This is a great place Looking forward time trying other things they have on the me

You can order at the counter and then find a seat. We made it for happy hour, but I still ended up ordering from the regular menu due to my selection.

The Impossible Burger was just ok - seemed like mostly bread. Glad they had that option, but it wasn't that tasty. Sweet potato fries were good.

      Lots of beer options.

Came here for a Friday lunch with a large group and had a wonderful time. I found some easy street parking a couple blocks down. The service was fast, and they were very very accommodating for our large group (15+ people?). I was very appreciative of their kind & friendly service. We even brought a cake in and they provided us with proper utensils and plates without charge.

I ordered the smoked aged cheddar burger and it was delicious!!! Especially the housemade smoked aioli. Get that on the side to dip your fries in!!!! My party tried the sauce and then many proceeded to also order some on the side. I've always been a mushroom burger type of girl which I've regularly ordered here, but what brought this place to 5 stars for me was definitely this burger & the sauce. It was a very generous portion, and since we had cake I only finished half my meal & kept the rest to-go.

If I'm craving a good burger I'll definitely be coming back here :)
