Everything. I ordered delivery but we have eaten there. I'm happy there finally is a restaurant that is worth losing the Italian Chicken Rotisserie that was there 30 odd years ago. Remember them?

But I regress, Burma 2 has never let us down. We ordered lamb curry appetizer and it was tender, delicious and did not repeat a personal food problem between lamb and I.

We decided to try a new salad since we usually order the tea salad (delicious and filling for 2-3 people). We went with the Ginger Salad this time since it's on limited menu and I hope they decide to keep it on their menu. Fresh with a slight bite, it served as a lovely palette cleanser.

Finally the entree we ordered was Burma noodles with tofu, it was perfect. Not too salty or drenched in oils, I couldn't fit another noodle in by this time and there was still quite a bit left over (which my hubby selflessly took care of). .

Can't go wrong with Burma 2. As far as authenticity I admit to not knowing since I've never had home cooked Burmese.

I've been wanting to try this location since I heard it was affiliated with Dublin. Came here before shopping around Broadway Plaza. We got a sea inside as it was 90 degrees out.

We were promptly given water and menus but already knew what we wanted to order. They practically have the same menu as Dublin.

I had my heart set on the garlic noods (no protein) and Mango Chicken. DD wanted a young coconut and the palata w/ coconut chicken and Hubs was venturing to a new dish. Salmon.

The coconut drink was quite refreshing on a hot day.

Palata came out piping hot and I couldn't wait to dip it into the curry fast enough to eat.

The noods were so flavorful though a bit overcooked.

The salmon was surprisingly tasty and not fishy at all. It was moist and had a gingery taste. I am always skeptical with fish whenever we order it at places that don't specialize in it.

The dish I was most looking forward to was the Mango Chicken. It took awhile to come out as it came last. We ordered a side of coconut rice, which was tasty. Unfortunately the main dish wasn't. It lacked any flavor and needed some upmh and acidity. There wasn't any of the pungent sweet and sour flavors that I am used to with this dish. Just bland and tasteless. I noticed the table across the way from us also ordered the same and was hardly touched. I didn't bother taking leftovers home.

To boot, the restrooms needed some serious maintenance.

Our experience at this location was different from their Dublin location. We'd much prefer stick to there.

Was wowed by their food (everything we had was gluten-free), extremely tasty! Service was friendly, professional, low-key, just perfect. Setting was relaxed, easy walk to parking, lively but we could easily hear ourselves chat, too. Very impressed, will be back. Delicious.

      PARKING, SERVICE, VIBES
We arrived when they opened at 5 and were the first ones there. They were super accommodating with my service dog and extremely eager to answer questions and get food out to us fast. All of the waitstaff was very very friendly, kind, and pleasant. They were extremely attentive as well-- refilling our water glasses, checking to make sure the food was good, etc. At one point I had a question so I began looking around to see if a server was nearby, and one immediately saw me looking and came to our table. The service was very welcoming. There are a lot of seats both indoors and outdoors. Inside there are benches lining the walls and backed chairs on non walls. Parking was difficult but not impossible. It's paid, 3hr maximum, all parallel parking. I paid $3 for 1.5 hours. The meters do not take touchless pay.

      FOOD
We got the Burmese pad Thai, coconut rice, tea leaf salad, and mango chicken. The tea leaf salad was good-- very peanutty. The coconut rice was coconutty-- a little soft (a little overdone) but still good. The pad Thai and mango chicken were both good but VERY sweet. There was sugar in everything except the salad. Lots of mango in the mango chicken, ample tofu and shrimp in the pad Thai, but just a lot of sugar.

I want to note that gluten free items are marked on the menu. If you read my reviews you know I am celiac (cannot have gluten). Promptly after finishing the meal I started experiencing bloating and pain. Not sure if I was glutened or if it was a result of the high sugar intake or another intolerance-- I have a "delicate" stomach, lol. So I won't say I was glutened but I will say that something didn't agree with me.

Would come back, but maybe would order different things that don't have as much sugar. The people here were so friendly that I enjoyed being there.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while exploring the outdoor mall. We went with a friend who's vegan and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of vegan options available. Had to try my typical dishes (tea leaf salad and chicken coconut curry soup). My friend ordered the vegan version of the coconut curry soup and loved it. Our orders came out pretty quickly and everything tasted really good. Adding this to my list of Burmese restaurants to return to.

      2 check-ins

Great fusion food with fresh ingredients, great service and well crafted cocktails. Their Samosas are light and not too spicy, just the right amount of heat, Tofu Burmese Pad Thai, excellent, well blended spices, Lamb Kebat, delicious, Pumpkin Salmon Curry, Mango Sticky rice all were delectable. I love their take on Thai Iced tea, theirs is a bit different from the traditional Thai version, but delicious as well and complimented the meal perfectly. My Hubby opted for a Lychee Martini which looked light and refreshing, I tasted it and it was very nice. Go for lunch or dinner, great food and drinks.

      1 check-in

I think it is roughly once or twice a year that I enjoy a meal in the Walnut Creek area, either a birthday meal for my cousin and me, or celebrating my Aunt's birthday. So, her birthday is in a week, and this is a place she frequents yet I had yet to go. I am leaving this as a 3 for me, but as a 3.5 for my aunt (as this is one of her faves)

While they are unemotional during their service, the restaurant itself was very accommodating in regards to food allergies (and a few personal tastes). Our drinks were always refilled, so while a little "wooden," the service was on point.

My dish was a rice noodle dish served with coconut curry, chicken, and a hard boiled egg. It came out hot, and I thought the flavor was amazing....and then a little not so much. I mean, the flavor was still good, but after awhile....it got a little dull. There were not any veggies in it, so the majority of the texture was noodles (with an occasional shred of chicken), and.......for a curry, it was kind of bland. When I say "bland," I mean not flavorless, but....not spicy....and I mean, not at all. It definitely could have used a kick. My Aunt loved her go to's, and the food was definitely attractive enough.
Not bad.....and pretty good. Just....I've had better.

This falls into my "Probably wouldn't suggest it, but if invited, I would have no problem going" type category.

      Happy eating, y'all

      Good....but needed a "zing"

My friend suggested this place for a late-ish lunch after getting our nails done nearby. (This was after walking around for 10 mins trying to figure out what to eat - we are both indecisive people when it comes to picking food!)

Since it was after the usual lunch hour on a Saturday, there weren't that many people and we were promptly seated upon entering.

We ordered a crap ton of food for 2 people so we would have leftovers and we also wanted to try a bunch of things:

      - Pine nut fried rice - nice nutty flavor, unlike anything I've tried before.

      - Moh hin gha (catfish chowder) - always need to get this at a Burmese restaurant. It's so hearty and thick.

      - Nan gyi dok (rice noodles with chicken curry) - great curry flavor, a bit thick but the sauce really stuck to the noodles.

      - Chicken or pork curry (it's been a month ish now and I can't remember, sadface) - curry was delicious, even if I can't remember the type of meat!

      - Milk teas - a bit sweet for me personally, but still very good.

Great option for lunch or dinner in Walnut Creek!

I'm definitely disappointed by this place. The facility is dated and generic. The restrooms are grungy.

The service is good and friendly but they automatically apply a 20% tip to any parties over 6 people.

The real problem is the food. Do you like your food dry and chewy? Neither do I.

The Burmese curry beef had the cheap tenderized meat that has the general consistency of an old boot. The sauce was flavorful but the meat itself was almost inedible. The only vegetable in the curry dish was about 1/4 of a potato.

The coconut rice was sandpaper dry and tasteless.

The noodle dish (Nan Guy Dok) was the best thing we ordered. The noodles were decent and the sauce was decent. There was about 1/4 of a chicken leg in there.

Our friend got the salmon which was also overcooked, tasteless, and dry. Another friend got the samosa soup which had big chunks of dehydrated samosas (how is that possible in a soup?)

      Probably not going back. Sorry.
