The ambiance here is top notch with amazing panoramic views overlooking burnaby. Its also an excellent wedding / large events venue with excellent classy vibes. I usually go for a burger but the steaks are excellent if you are willing to spend a bit more, you won't regret it!

Not just for golfers.
Reward yourself after playing 18 holes with a meal at Burnaby Mountain Clubhouse. This restaurant is open to golfers and non-golfers alike.
Stepping into BMC is like taking a time-machine back to the 1960's. Decor looks straight out of an era when Polaroid cameras ruled the photography world. The restaurant itself is moderately sized, but they were able to accommodate our party of 12. Restaurant was very dimly lit; most of the light was coming from the setting sun.
The menu had as many choices as a typical White Spot. Prices were reasonable, but entrees could be upgraded which could cause prices to escalate if you weren't prudent. For example, I ordered the steak but got the lobster upgrade which raised the price by 30%. And, it was the lower-grade Caribbean lobster instead of the much juicier Atlantic lobster.
It took a long time for the food to begin arriving. But, we did have a larger party that night. But, after a long wait, all our food arrived almost all at once.
Presentation was good, and portion size was adequate. My steak was medium rare even though I had requested rare. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals, and a few were unable to finish their food.
Service was only okay. If they weren't taking your order or delivering your food, you didn't see much of the staff. And, the restaurant wasn't exactly busy either. We did ask a server to take a group photo of our table, and they happily obliged.
I'd skip the round of golf and go straight to the restaurant.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 27, 2021
Burnaby Mountain Restaurant
has the Three Course Dinner menu available Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm to 8pm.
@burnabymountainclubhouse
@exploreburnaby
This year, it is $38 + tax.
It seemed like a tradition to me and my bf to visit this restaurant or its sister restaurant at Riverway Restaurant @riverwayclubhouse once a year. We didn't come last year due to the pandemic restrictions.
Today, we come back when the restaurants are open for dine-in.
We have ordered:
Appetizers (2 selections)
- Falafel Salad
green salad, carrot, red pepper, sunflower seed, tzatziki, Greek vinaigrette
This salad was just average but the chickenpea mini cakes were suprising good.
- Summer Corn Chowder
fried onion, Jalapeño Cream Cheese Popper, chive crème fraîche, garlic toast
Oh, I love this corn chowder. The fried onions and Jalapeno Cream Cheese Popper added some crispiness to this soup.
Entrées (5 selections)
We had
- Seafood Linguine
mussels, cod, prawns, calamari, marinara sauce, garlic toast
The pasta sauce was bland because they used the Prego sauce and added some Parmesan cheese . The pasta is cooked al dente and it has different seafood in it. Overall I would say that the seafood linguine was average.
- New York Steak
charbroiled 8oz. AAA New York steak, Yukon Gold garlic mash, hand-picked vegetables, red wine jus
add 3oz. lobster tail for $6
I highly recommended to order the steak and add the lobster tail . Both the steak and lobster meats were juicy and tender. I like the thick red wine sauce and it gave more flavor to the steak. I asked for medium rare for my steak and it was perfect. The mashed potatoes was creamy with butter. They put a lot of beans on this dish too.
We were bloated with full belly after the entrées. We asked to take out the dessert.
Dessert
Chef's Handcrafted Special
New York Cheesecake
After two hours of the dinner, we both were craving for the dessert. The cheesecake has some strawberry puree on it. The cheesecake is creamy. I like it.

The Burnaby Mountain Clubhouse is super beautiful and well secluded. It is perfect for weddings and special occasions. I felt like it was so homey and private. It's really a delicate setting.
I came here for Dine Out $35. I believe it was $25 last year, but perhaps they changed up their menu? Maybe for a good reason. I loved every dish I had. They really showcased the best they've got (even vegetarian) and did not disappoint. I got the mushroom soup to start. Delicious. It was well-made and not salty. It had just enough mushroom chunks for more tastiness. Then my main was another mushroom dish with goat cheese. The goat cheese was really thick almost like a block for me. I couldn't finish it all. Maybe it's just me, but the mushroom was really good. I just really like mushrooms. Then I had a dark chocolate dessert! I am so glad I chose this option because it had an ooey-gooey sweet chocolatey-ness inside!
The staff was amazing and super sweet. Everything here is upscale. The parking lot is huge. Everyone reserved the night I came in. Thankfully, they had one table available for us! I will come back again!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Gary W.Burnaby, Canada02Nov 15, 2023
A great place to have a business meeting lunch. We asked for and got a quiet table. The service was excellent, attentive but unhurried. Food also was great.

The bad -- I always get lost trying to get here. Somehow my GPS always sent me in the other direction or just stopped short of the location. So unless you are very familiar with the golf course and Burnaby Mountain, give yourself extra time to get there.
The restaurant decor is lovely with lit up words (DRINK, EAT etc) and woodsy interior. There are 2 semi-private corners which will be very nice if you want some privacy with your friends. The patio is also a good option on sunny clear days as you get a view of people playing golf.
Food wise, it is hit and miss. Some days the food is really done very nicely, and others, it can be much better.
The star on the menu is always the $29 3-course dinner when lobster is back in season. It is very worth it as you get an appetizer and main and dessert. The consistent item which is so sinfully delicious is the garlic bread. Buttery to the end. SO good.
It is way easier to get a reservation here compared to the sister outlet at Riverway as it is open for dinner every night. So I will still come here.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Sep 3, 2019
Came by to try the $29 steak and lobster special.
Parking is available in the large lot in front of the building.
The venue is pretty modern and classy, with plenty of wood. While it may be tempting to sit in the lower indoor patio area, there is quite the greenhouse effect because of all the glass. My friend and I baked.
Service is friendly and professional.
As my friends and I had recently eaten the same set meal at the Riverway Golf Course clubhouse, it was an easy apples to apples comparison.
Spinach & ricotta cannelloni - 2 pieces instead of 3 at Riverway. Sauce was identical and decent.
Steak & lobster - steak was overdone here. Lobster was noticeably drier too. Sauce was identical.
Vanilla banana parfait - actually quite tasty. Just the right amount of sweetness and proportion of banana to vanilla. Plenty of graham cracker crumbs at the bottom, so be sure to mix everything really well.
Overall, I would have to say that Riverway is the better venue. Also the view from the clubhouse there (pond and rolling hills) is much nicer than the one here (smaller pond and trees).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 82279770Jan 5, 2022
The roast beef was fantastic!!! Perfectly cooked , super moist and tender! The clubhouse itself could use a little freshening up, but the food is great and so are the staff.

I'd give it a 3.5 stars. Decent area, clean and decorated interior, friendly staffs and the food are pretty tasty. Their portion is good, a bit on the bigger side but just right. Reasonable prices and most dishes are delicious. The fried items have a good texture and nice dipping sauce that comes along with it. Burgers are really good! Plating are just alright and some waitresses are not as attentive. There was once that it took me a good 5 minutes before anyone served my table and there were only one other table at the time. 4 staffs were just there chatting and I kept my hands up but they were just too focused on talking that I was ignored. Except for that experience, the rest was good. It's not the best meal or anything fancy, but it's nice for a casual dinner as a treat from time to time.

It's in a secluded wooded area, but has a big well lit parking lot and it was decorated for the holidays which was actually very lovely. The restaurant has been renovated to be modern and hip, and the holiday decorations were great. We came for the $29 three course meal promotion.
We ordered the spinach and ricotta cannelloni for appetizers, steak and lobster for entrees, and the Belgian waffles for dessert. The cannelloni came in a bowl of butternut squash and orange, Parmesan and a side of garlic toast. It looked good, and tasted okay. The soup was tasty, but the pasta was a bit thick and filling could have used a bit more seasoning. The steak and lobster was tasty and of good quality, the mashed potatoes were so smooth, creamy and buttery. My only issue was with the au jus, was a little off and very salty... I would suggest getting it with the sauce on the side. The waffle was my favourite course. It was warm and crisp, had little caramelized crunchy sugary bits in it, and the walnut caramel ice cream was amazing! Great way to finish off the meal.
Service is great, and the atmosphere is so comforting. The food itself was only okay, but for $29 for a three course meal you can't complain!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
