We found Darragh on Yelp when were looking for someone to put a lawn in our backyard for our spoiled new puppy. After getting one estimate from another contractor, we talked with Darragh, whose estimate was much more reasonable and in line with what we were expecting. Darragh's crew did a great job and were very good about cleaning up after themselves. And during the course of the project, we asked them to do some additional things like clearing out other plants and weeds from our yard and hooking up our existing drip system to the new sprinkler system for the grass that Darrah's crew installed. They easily were able to accommodate our extra requests. Three weeks later the lawn looks great, and our spoiled dog loves it! We would recommend Caffrey Landscapes to anyone.

Darragh and his team did fantastic work on our backyard remodel. We redid an largely empty backyard to include a full deck and landscaping. He worked with us and our designer from the start, helping translate the design in a workable plan. He had thoughtful input throughout, carefully considering drainage, soil, materials, in light of our overall goals. His team was professional, polite, efficient - and incredibly hard-working - throughout the process. Darragh himself was very responsive, taking calls early in the morning, late in the evening, and over the weekend - whenever needed. Every project has hiccups and bumps and surprises, and Darragh was thoughtful at every point, using his experience and good judgement to get us to good solutions. Even after the work was formally done, he and his team have gone above and beyond to make sure that their work was in perfect shape.

There were a few unexpected wrinkles along the way and Darragh always focused on the solution, not the problem. He patiently answered all my questions before hand and during the project. I am someone who highly values getting the job done right, especially when it came to the drainage plan. Darragh really knows his stuff and never cut any corners, including sealing my foundation and wrapping the french drain tubes in landscaping fabric prior to covering over them. I'm a novice homeowner and would have been none the wiser if those steps were skipped.

Darragh and his crew did an amazing job building our deck and doing all the landscaping, including a raised concrete planter and a pergola and lighting and on and on. Price was reasonable and without a reduction in build quality. Not only did they do top notch work, but they were a pleasure to work with and were quick, responsive, and professional. I've worked with many contractors, and those experiences were unfortunately all over the map. Caffrey Landscapes is the first clear five star review worthy contractor I've worked with.

Darragh Caffrey did a fantastic job on my back yard. He installed a watering system, fountain, lighting, four different kinds of plants among which were Australian tree ferns, ground cover plants and finally pea gravel throughout. He also subcontracted and managed the electrical work AND installed an additional run of fencing. This work was done about 9-10 months ago and EVERYTHING is still perfect. He was timely, on budget, respectful of his surroundings and quite a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend him for a landscaping job. A landscape designer friend, Rick Fath Designs, was looking for a landscaper and I recommended Darragh. Rick used him on many jobs since and has had nothing but positive results.

Darragh recently completed a complete remodel of our backyard in the Richmond District in San Francisco. We provided him with a rough architectural plan (done for us by a friend of a friend) and he did the rest! Darragh filled in many of the specifics and refined the plans to create a beautiful backyard for us. He can do everything from wood/concrete decking, planting, lighting and irrigation. He is reasonably-priced and very competent. We were very pleased with the efficiency of his crew. They came in on time every day and cleaned up when they left, even taking the time to move furniture and equipment back to where it was when they arrived in the morning. When they were finished, we found a couple of small scuff marks in our downstairs hallway that leads to the yard and, without us even asking, they repainted the entire hallway for good measure. Darragh is a quality contractor.

I am a landscape designer that has worked with Darragh on a number of projects over the past 2 years. My first job with him was a contemporary design I did in Duboce Triangle. I was very happy to have found him through this client, and have worked with him on a handful of projects since then. I contacted Darragh based on work he had done for my neighbor and he didn't disappoint. My yard was ragged and unfinished when I bought my house and he helped me completely transform it. I did the work in 2 phases. The first phase I installed a brick patio largely on my own, but Darragh was happy to help me with the trickier parts involving the leveling and brick cutting. The second phase he and his crew did major excavation of dirt and built a 2' high retaining wall, installed a full sprinkler system with 2 zones, grass lawn, and patio using flag stone. Darragh has a great eye and provided creative improvements to my design and the yard looks great. I would definitely recommend Darragh for landscape work.

I have done more than a few jobs with Darragh. From entire ground up projects to minor remodels and he does excellent work every time. He takes great pride in his work and his clients happiness.
