Calderon's Tires

After reading all these reviews, I almost did not even go to Calderon's...

BUT I'M VERY HAPPY I DID...!

My experience there was excellent and I have no idea what these other people are complaining about, it always easier to slam a company or a employee, but when the service is excellent, very few people spend the time to say so.

My experience at Calderon's was so good that I felt compelled to tell you about it.

Based on a recommendation from a friend, I wanted to pick up some used tires, so I went to the Bascom Location, as I pulled up I noticed that they were very busy, which to me is a good sign. Instead of waiting outside for someone to greet me (like some other reviewers), I walked through the door to the service desk,, like the sign told me to and was warmly greeted by Lizette, who along with another young man answered all my "stupid questions" so I could feel comfortable buying used tires.

They told me that they get there used tires from many different sources and test each and every one for leaks, or other damage before they sell them. And they offer a warranty of 1 week, which I thought was great for a used tire.

I asked about price and was told that it depends on the tire and how much thread is left. More thread higher cost, less thread less cost but that the tires usually go for $45 to $65 which included mounting, balancing, installation and deposal cost for the old tires, AGAIN A GREAT VALUE.

I let Lizette know that I wanted 4 x 215 55r 16's with the best thread possible and a matching set if possible (FYI, the odds of finding a matching set all in the same shape are about 50/50). I then learned from Lizette that I would be responsible for picking my own tires, so brought me in the back and showed me where my size tires were.

I could not find what I was looking for in my size tires so I asked if there were any others in another area. Lizette went and asked another worker who knew about some other tires that just came in, so we went and check those, they did not have any 215 55R 16s but they did have a matching set of 4 x 205 55R 16s, which would fit my car just fine, they were just not as wide.

They were Michelins with 90% thread left on 3 tires and about 75% left on one tire.

I understood that when buying used tires that it is hit and miss, sometimes you will have a large selection and sometimes none at all, it's all about timing, and Even though I did not get the size I wanted, my timing allowed me to get a great tire at a great price.

We agreed on $200 for the set of 4 installed, these tires would have cost me over $600 installed if I bought them new...SO I SAVED OVER $400, and with this economy that really helped a lot.

As I was leaving, I was told that I could bring the car back in a month or two and they will check the air pressure and tires for free.

I have had the tires for 2 weeks now and have put over 1000 miles on them with no issues.

I actually need some tires for my Truck and will be going back soon

I give Calderon's 5 stars for service and product value and would recommend them to anyone.

Called Calderon's Tires and spoke with David regarding a tire that I was having a problem with. He said bring the car down to the shop on Bascome Ave. So I immediately drove down and they took the tire off and looked at the wheel as well as the tire. apparently, there was some corrosion going on with the rim which was not allowing the tire to seal properly. Instead of trying to get me to buy 4 new rims for my Mercedes, they shaved the rim and cleaned it up. They didn't try to rip me off by selling me something that I didn't need and couldn't afford.
Honesty goes a long way, not to mention outstanding customer service! They have won me over as a customer, and I would recommend the place to anyone!!!
I really appreciate David's professionalism. There wasn't a bunch of guys standing around cursing at the shop. In fact, there was a piece of garbage floating around where the guys were working and David actually bent over and picked the garbage up.
If I were an owner of a business, I would most definitely want an employee such as David working for me. He not only cares about the customers. He also cares about the workplace as well. I did this shop and their service five stars!!!!!

Fast, easy, affordable and friendly. Had a completely flat tire from a nail that was just staring at me. Called AAA and a technician came out to pump air and told me to come here to Calderon's Tire to patch the tire. Glad I did. Told the man I just needed the patch. No unnecessary upsell. He just grabbed some tools, did his thing (it looked like he'd done 1000 of these patches before), I paid the cashier and I was on my way. In and out the door in less than 5 minutes.

Always the best services and always good prices. I have been taking my mustangs here for over 15 years now and they never ever miss a beat. Even with high end custom wheels they do very good work and always make sure things are perfect.
