California Collision

I had just bought a new car and side swiped a pile with it. So I started looking into the best collision shops in Bay Area and California is collision came up. I do a lot of researching when it comes to stuff like this and I was happy to see so many happy customers! When I dropped my car off I completely understood how these other customers felt and it was all true . George and Giovanni have been helping me through the repair of my car the nicest most professional accommodating shop i have ever seen in this line of business. I have dealt with my fair share of auto body shops and this place is different! I have 2 babies and made it hard to get the car to them so they offered to come pick it up for us that was so helpful has been an absolute pleasure with these guys. If your looking for an auto body shop I PROMISE you you will not be disappointed!

These guys are awesome!! Highly recommend. Took my Nissan Murano there after it was involved in an accident. They fixed the damages to the car with both safety and quality in mind. They also worked with the insurance company when additional repairs were found needed. Once I dropped off the car, I didn't have to worry about a thing until it was ready to be picked up.

This is a 2 part review regarding California Collision who was recommended to Me by a Law Firm. Giovanni and his staff were very helpful every step of the way. They also have the ability to navigate with My Insurance and getting My car fixed correctly. This was ever so present when parts and services were performed. They looked after my car and made sure all repairs were made right and that no damage was done while out of their hands. This is very important to Me as my Mercedes needed calibration work and repairs.

Now my car still needs a part but this is not due to any of California Collision's doing but because of a parts shortage Worldwide.
In regard to this I am aware and in the loop thanks to Giovanni. Part 2 of my review will come in once the part arrives and the car is completed. This Business has my support and I hope it helps anyone looking for a professional and experienced Body repair Shop for their loved Car!

Find another shop!!!

There are a number of issues. This is long but worth the read.

1). I told the shop that I had AAA and would use them to toe my drivable car because the temperature gauge was not working and I don't know exactly what was the issues. The shop told me to not use AAA and to save my tow and they will provide towing. Only to find out that the shop later charged me $425 for the tow.

2). The shop wanted to charge me $280 to re-polish the inside of my wheel rim. The entire brand new wheel including the rim and tire together didn't cost that much.

3). here is an exact quote from and email I received from the shop:

"We would like for you to come down in person to sign the repair order and collect a deposit of half.  So that we may go over the repairs prior to starting so that we are all on the same page. Please review and let me know if you have any question."

When I came down and asked to explain if certain repairs were necessary the shop could not explain and instead said we will fix your car our way.

No thank you and I was out of there. Not to mention the following:

4). The shop held onto the car for over a month and didn't fix a single issue (although they stated they dismantled and reassembled the car) then charged $200 a day without informing the customer and when I emailed and said I was going to pick up the car they never got back to me. So I called 5 days later and someone was supposed to call me back but never did. So I just personally went to the shop to get my car. Sounds like they intentionally delayed just to continue to charge $200 a day for "storage".

5). The shop claimed a part for my 1989 mustang was not available. I found that had to believe since that model year 1979-1993 there were 2.6 million of these cars produced (yes, I checked). Not to mention that this part for my seat was shared with 13 other Ford models. Another shop had no problem finding the exact part in less than 1 minute.

6). Oh, there is much more but to make it short. Find another shop.

If you have matte paint, you know how painful it is to maintain your car. The biggest fear of all owners of matte paint are scratches and repairs.

I had to call multiple shops (even shops recommended by my insurance) and NONE would take my car for service except for California Collision. Matte paint is near impossible to fully paint match but Gio and the guys at California Collision are absolute pros. Gio kept me constantly updated throughout the entire process and I walked away forgetting that my vehicle was ever in an accident.

If you have matte paint or you want the best service possible for your car, look no further. You're at the right spot

I had heard positive things about Cal Collision and brought my car here. i was given an estimate by Klebber very quickly which was thorough. The estimate seemed high and the insurance company only approved 1/3 of the cost. I called to review the differences and did not receive a call back for 1 1/2 weeks after leaving several messages with different people and 2 emails. I then received a message asking for approval to move forward without any discussion of the difference of estimates. while waiting for return phone calls i took my car elsewhere and work was 1/2 complete by the time he called back. It is clear that I was not a client whose business was important. maybe because my insurance was not their priority ? Turn customers away if you are too busy or their business is not important.

California collision was great!! They were super quick and efficient throughout the whole process. I appreciate how friendly all the staff were! My car looks amazing and I couldn't be more grateful

Was referred to CA Collison from a family member and can see what the hype is all about! My car actually came out looking brand new again and in better shape beyond the repair! I received almost daily briefs of what stage my car was at. The service care team took the time to explain any process I didn't understand. The team was very professional and courteous. In addition, they went above and beyond the service that was needed to ensure full satisfaction beyond my expectation. Since it's a collision place, this is one of those companies that you try not to have to see (like a dentist) but if you must, then this is the place to take your vehicle for all the TLC and repair needs!

The absolute best decision was to go to California Collision for my repairs. I am big on quality and customer service and they nailed both of them!

California Collision was honest about the work that was needed; ensured they had my car only for the necessary amount of time by doing a pre-inspection; handled my insurance company without my input; kept me updated with progress; and gave the best results.

California Collision goes above and beyond the job and I am so grateful for how they handled my case. It is a family business so more of a reason to support. George (the owner) provided knowledge about how the process works with insurance and exactly what my car would need. Giovanni handled my case from start to finish by staying in regular communication and helping me with getting better results than I expected; plus he battled with the insurance company on my behalf. Klebber provided the best customer service at the front of house and made sure I felt comfortable and informed with every transaction.

I would not chose anywhere else for body repairs in the Bay Area (and I have been to plenty)
