Dan did a great job for us on our 37 year old Kirby vacuum which had stopped working. He was upfront about what might be involved, and what it might cost. After examining the vacuum, he called me and gave me options. He was finished in two days, at a fair price considering what was needed. I'll happily use him again. They only take cash. Also, there is no parking on Monterey Highway, and the driveway is almost full of cars under repair.

Dan is old school repair man...don't make them like that any more. Fixed my 1977 Kirby vacuum no problem. Reasonable priced too!

Vardan is the owner and he was more interested in the shows that were streaming on his computer than serving customers.
He is a registered repair person for Dyson who only takes cash, refuses to give receipts, and demands payment for "shipping" from customers despite Dyson not allowing him to do this.
Fortunately Yelp allows for transparency and allows other customers to beware of such practices. Reported to Dyson as well.

An odd ball kind of place with a bunch of junked cars and no real parking in front.
Traffic in and out is a mess.

Dyson sent me here for repair. The owner does not follow any COVID protocols, no mask, and no social distancing. Parking is a mess, because it's right next to an auto shop that seems to have a collection of broken cars in the yard. Also parts needed to repair the vacuum are not available from Dyson or any other supplier, so now I have a $300 paperweight

Dyson had me take my upright vacuum to Campbell Vacuum and Sewing for warranty work. The place is a little hard to find, as it's tucked in the back of an auto repair shop, so keep your eyes open when looking for it. The shop is at the end of a driveway.

The men who work here clearly knowledgeable in their craft, as they seem to have everything you could think of being repaired around the shop, from vacuum cleaners to vehicles. The man I left my machine with, Dan. was very friendly and professional. He called me about an hour after I got home with an update on my vacuum and it was ready for pickup only two days later. He also took the time to help me package it to bring home and was concerned about my comfort while doing so. The next time I need something repaired, no matter what it is, I'm going to call Campbell Vacuum and Sewing first.

He fixed my old vintage sears Hoover floor box vaccum cleaner I had since 1980's. My parents must of work damn hard to buy one , which is a luxury item back in the 1980s. He replace the motor bushing , works like brand new. Sucks very good. Better than the new Hoover upright I bought for $150. I have to bring that one to him to tune up the vaccum dirt clog. I forgot the cost. But was not over $100.

Amazing business! I broke the lever that releases the pressure foot on my sewing machine and with little to no explanation, they were able to fix it.

One thing to note is that they only take cash - I unfortunately did not know this so I just gave him everything I had. He even walked my sewing machine back to my car which was very sweet.

Kind of an ambiguous area, looks sketchy at first, but give it a chance, the service is wonderful!

      A+
My wife's vintage (1960?) Singer sewing machine was bunching up cloth.
I found Vacuum and Sewing Services on Yelp.
      Yes, it's very "old school".
The owner looked at it, asked when it was last serviced ( maybe 10 years ago), and said he'd do a full service cleaning and repair for $79 plus parts.
How soon? After he finished another project, maybe a day, maybe two days.
Indeed, he called me the next day and said it was ready.
It needed cleaning and a new rubber drive wheel.
      He demonstrated several stitches.
It cost $86 total, including $2 part and tax.
      Wow.

Parking is a bit tight. The shop shares the driveway and parking lot with his son's car repair business. Do not expect a tidy shop. It's the result that counts, and he's the best!

This place is the best place to bring any household items for repair. I took my sewing machine and serger to get serviced. It only took a couple days for him to service both machines! And very inexpensive!! He showed me what he did and even showed me how they work before taking them back home. They worked better than ever!! I would definitely recommend taking your machines to this guy! I will come back again for sure!! Thank you!!
