Captain's Oven Pizza

In need of a late lunch after arriving in Vancouver, my husband and I wandered over to Captain's Oven Pizza. Figuring we wouldn't be eating much pizza on our upcoming cruise, we were delighted by the wide variety of toppings we could select.

We ended up sharing two small pizzas - a Captain's Favourite (pepperoni, green pepper, red onion, mushrooms, and tomato sauce) and a more adventurous choice for us... the Smoked Salmon (smoked salmon, capers, red onion, dill, and alfredo sauce). I was a big fan of both, despite how foreign it was to me to have fish on a pizza. Their menu has sections for Meat, Vegetarian, Pizzas Around the World, and Create Your Own (options include gluten free crust and vegan cheese). Aside from pizza they also serve dessert, salads, and a variety of apps and beverages.

We ate in their small dining area at the front of the restaurant, though I imagine a lot of people typically carry out. It was quite comfortable, with a great deal of light from outside. There were even a couple tables set up outside with the warmer weather having arrived. The pizza was ready very quickly as their oven (exported from Tuscany) cooks at a very high temperature.

A solid option if pizza is on your mind.

This is a great local pizza place. We came here on a Monday for dinner and it had a decent amount of people-but not too crowded. The employees were good, nice, and friendly.
We ordered the meat lovers pizza. We all really liked the three cheeses on the pizza. It gave it a good vibe and unique flavor. The crust was good as well, it had a good thickness and taste. The seasonings were good. The meats were incredibly tasty and paired rightly.

Service was fast and workers were so sweet. Pizza was filling but not too stuffing. It was the perfect amount!

Nice place for pizza! Came here to try them out and the pizza was good. They have pizza inspired in places around the world. I tried out some Brazilian style pizza and Brazilian pop -Guaraná!
It was yummy!

Their service was good, they are nice and friendly! And the restaurant is small, but nice and clean.

Ahhhhhmazing veggie selection! I've had the vegan pepperoni with Fiore de latte several times, the potato pizza, as well as the cheese lovers. All very good.
Service is quick and always polite and the resto has a cute patio. Good for slices at lunch or full pie at dinner, I'm so glad I found this one!

First time coming here today and got the meat lover's pizza. The lady was so nice to me and gave me a complementary garlic sauce!

The works pizza was great, pepperoni was also pretty good. The artichoke one wasn't too impressive. The Bruschetta was pretty good as well. We also had the chocolate calzone , chocolate pizza , and brownies. Chocolate pizza was pretty boring, but the calzone was good and brownies were alright. It was pretty disappointing when you order over $120 of food from a pizza place and then they charge you $3 for tiny side of red peppers and parmesan , and then charge you for paper plates. First time I've ever encountered a pizza place charging for paper plates. Gave me 5 and then charged me for the other 6 I needed. Not a huge amount, just enough to be annoying. Good location, food was ok, double checked our large order which was nice, but come on, cheese and peppers should be free with pizza purchase!!

Ok pizza. Not the best in the world but very edible. Could use some more seating. Attracts the tourist and cruise ship crowd

Good pizza at a fair price. As tourists looking for a quick, familiar meal in a foreign city, doubtful we could have done better.

Great location during our stay at The Pinnacle downtown Vancouver. Nicest people with amazing variety of pizza! Absolutely delicious!
