Owner Brett and his office manager Long made sure I could ride around the hot Oakland streets feeling the cool air running through my car. No more sweaty car rides home from San Francisco. No more smelling like a day's work before entering the classroom at 9am. No more friends, especially my small mother-in-law feeling like they're going to die of heat when cruising with me.

These guys were efficient and effective, holding and repairing my car air conditioner within less than 24 hours. And yes, they had the passion, the parts, and the affordable prices to fix the new model of air conditioner in my 2018 Honda Civic.

No shady work, up-selling, or long holding times. They charge a low $110 diagnostic fee but then waived it once I agreed to have them handle the repairs. Brett is a young guy living his dream and leading a life of honest service for the people!

This is my go to reliable car shop, and has been for many years. They do not overcharge, they give you an honest opinion of what your car needs. Last week they fixed my AC for free (just needed new refrigerant). The shop doesn't look like much, no fancy schmanzy Mercedes Benz dealer polished showroom floor. But they will get the job done.

I contacted them about replacing a damaged side mirror and they responded promptly and answered my questions. They had no issues with me providing the replacement parts and said they would be happy to only provide labor if that was all I needed. I had no problem securing an appointment and they were able to see me on time. Despite having a very full garage, the work was completed in around an hour and a half. The labor rate was also very reasonable and there were no surprise fees or charges. Overall I'm pretty pleased with my experience and this is the first place I'll consider when the time comes for regular maintenance.

I came in a few months ago because my Prius wasn't starting without a jumpstart so I made an appointment with Brett for him to check what was going on. He informed me about a battery change and was super transparent with what everything costed and if I approve of the transaction. Brett is trustworthy and cares about his customers. I also asked if he could do a whole car checkup to see if I need to fix anything else and he charged half an hour of labor which was super affordable. Brett told me my car was in perfect shape! I will be coming here for all my car needs! I'll be back soon for an oil change haha. Thanks Brett!

My car broke down last Thursday, and I was trying to find a mechanic to take my car to. Car Care Service was very responsive and was able to accommodate my tow-in at the last minute. Long was friendly and helped me complete my intake paper quickly right before they closed. My car is running great and the price for the repair of my alternator it was pretty reasonable. I am very glad that I was introduced to this mechanic and will be coming back if I need service.

If you're in the Bay Area looking for your forever autoshop, put this place on your short list. Brett and Long are extremely friendly, helpful, and honest. Their team does great work and more importantly, they stand by their work, and are responsive to any follow-up requests. Most recently, my car broke down and I had to have it towed here on short notice. They got to diagnosing it that same day and called me the following business day with their recommendations for replacement parts. You can tell Brett is a true "car guy" who loves what he does, and he is always happy to give you advice and just talk mods and upgrades. Even if you are a weekend warrior who likes to wrench, it's nice to have a shop like Car Care Service to turn to for when things turn gnarly.

Brett and his team came highly recommended to me by my neighbor, whose entire family had their cars serviced by Car Care Service. Now I can honestly say I also recommend them too! I made an appointment for a Friday brake inspection as I was looking for new brakes for my older car. They inspected it and told me exactly what needed to be replaced and the cost upfront. They were able to do the work that day. Their prices were very reasonable, and they went above and beyond to deliver within their estimated time frame. They did everything right to finish my car so I could have it for the weekend. I am so happy to support such a reliable and professional independent repair shop! Great work, done fast, and the price was just right! Needed an oil change, and a tire rotation and gave them a call and was told to come on over. When I arrived, I was told the work wouldn't take more than an hour and a half, so I headed across the street to the coffee shop and waited as the work was being done. When I went back to pick up my car I was apologized to, and was told that it was a few minutes away from being ready as they were topping off the other fluids free of charge, which made me feel like I was the one getting over.

Once it was ready they let me know they also did a full brake inspection, and checked the tire treads to ensure I was good to go until the next time I come back.I left feeling completely satisfied, knowing that we have a crew of trustworthy, reliable, and experienced mechanics that are willing to got the proverbial "extra mile" to put a smile on your face, so for that I say thank you to Brett and his staff!
