Juan at Cardona Landscaping does excellent work. Juan is very professional and charged a fair cost for grooming my garden, cleaning the yard, and shaping plants/bushes, I highly recommend Cardona Landscaping.

I hired this guy based on 5 stars. Maybe the good reviews are real, maybe they're not.
Well, here's a real review, and the the deal on a $1000.00 ONE day cleanup job.
THE SHORT:
Juan Cardona does his job, but not as agreed, and the value gets lost in his unprofessional mismanagement. He doesn't write quotes, and does not report at agreed times, with the crew he promises. He charges based on the number of men he brings, and doesn't bring them.
He seems cool, but is not gracious, and speaks to customers like he's doing them favors. In the end, I felt I hired the wrong guy.
THE LONG:
This job was for a property my 80 year old mother lives in. I flew from NY to meet with Juan, the owner.
Despite our walk-through and agreement on scope of work, Juan did not follow through on his promise to report with his team, at the agreed time.
Day one, he arrived 6 hours late with half the team he outlined in his promise. He worked 2.5 hours.
He reported the next day to work more.
He chose to not show up to work on two appointments occasions.
The worse part of all of this was hearing from him that he "worked too hard" on my job. He said "the money wasn't good enough"... he hassled me about getting paid.
The job was to be completed 9/11/23.
It was mostly done on 9/12/23
The job was completed 9/27/23
As much as I resented all of this, I still tried to work with him on a schedule, but he wanted to work year round, including winter months for $400 a month, after a $50 discount.
This property has no lawn, just hedges & ground cover, so this just seemed like a retainer, since there's no growth in the winter months.
I sincerely hope Juan gets better in his time management, and admin; but that comes with humility, time, and experience.
Would I hire Juan again, maybe.
Would I recommend him, not at this time.

Hired for regular monthly maintenance of small yard (11 ft x 15 ft approx). Great price, communicative and service oriented. Friendly too! I usually text him for scheduling and other questions and he responds quickly.

Juan has been working with our family for several years (my mother's home and our home). We couldn't be happier with the quality of his work. He now also does my father's home and he's now a preferred vendor for our Real Estate team. My wife has used him for several of her clients' projects and she has received nothing but positive feedback. To boot, some of those clients have ended up turning to Juan as their regular landscaper. He's a nice guy, hard-working, and thorough. We're pleased with his work, have no plans on making any changes, and continue to refer him to friends/clients.

Juan and his team do an excellent job. They have installed plants, water systems, done yard work and built beautiful planter boxes with incredible detail and craftsmanship. They are reliable, kind, nice people who do good work. Their plant caretaking is also phenomenal.

We were referred to Juan Cardona by a friend who employed him as a regular gardener. He designed our terraced front garden in Glen Park with irrigation system, bought the plants, and now maintains it. His rates are very reasonable as he is just getting started. He also designed and bought the plants for our friend's back yard. I was impressed that he was able to design and install a low-cost irrigation system that has worked very well.

Juan is always friendly, honest, eager to do a good job, and communicative. He is responsive to my texts, shows up weekly and cleans and waters and maintains the plants. He has plenty of ideas but wants to make sure he is doing what we envision for the space and always double checks.

Juan does great work and I highly recommend him. I couldn't be more pleased with the gardening work he did for us and won't hesitate to call him again in the future. His prices are very reasonable.

I've been working with a number of contractors recently for various projects. I wish that they were all as communicative, hard-working, diligent and polite as Juan.

I gave Juan a detailed description of my re-landscaping project and asked him to bid on each phase. After a little discussion Juan gave me very competitive prices for each piece of work.

Juan showed up each day on time, put in a full day of work and finished his projects on time.

Juan returned all of my texts and emails promptly. We communicated in a mix of Spanish and English but Juan's spoken English is strong.

I plan to use Juan in the future and I highly recommend him.
