CARSTAR Vancouver - Ivan's Auto Body

Accident, but when I called they are 2 months behind and could only take me in end of September.. also since it was a massive repair they hesitate to do it.

Our car was hit when a driver swerved into our lane - the rear door and quarter panel were damaged. I looked up the reviews and Ivan's was one of the top picks. This also happened to be our first experience with Family/Economical insurance vs ICBC and to my surprise, there were no hiccups at all. Car was fixed and looked perfect - like new. The detailing of the car was also top notch. A year ago i had the car professionally detailed and Ivan's crew did an even better job than the pro detailers did! thanks to Marjorie and the Ivan crew!

I've been here 4 or 5 times over the years for various work. The major one was for a rear-end collision (fairly major) and while I received a loner during the repair, I was surprised at how quickly the damage got fixed. Less than a week (5 days I think). Amazing!

The rest of the visits were for minor work such tire changes but was always met with a good rate or even a no charge on a coupe of visits including the last one a few days ago! Love that! Shows care and good service...which these days is worth its weight in gold. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately​, I was in an accident that could have been completely avoided.

Anyways, I wanted the repairs done fast! fast, simple, with no complications so I looked through ALL repair shops ICBC suggested and this was one of my top 3 places.

Had the accident on Friday, went into Carstar on Saturday​ morning and Marjorie, the women who makes this whole place go-round​ was more then I could have ever asked for. She is so wonderful, everything went so smoothly and all the paperwork was easy and fast, I didn't pay a dime. ($2800 worth of repairs)

Dropped the car Monday morning, the courtesy​ car was a 2016 Nissan, clean, good on gas and efficient​. Picked up the car Thursday morning, fixed, cleaned in and out and polished.

Side Note: I had a few scratches that needed to be fixed from a friend who had damaged the car and several other places quoted me $1200 to get the car fixed and Marjorie​, was so kind, she dropped the price to 800$!!!! Every single place I went to said 1200.

Exceptional service and impeccable​ experience, I'm recommending this place to all my friends.

I took my car in to be fixed last week as I had been in an accident recently. The staff are friendly and very helpful.
My car was fixed in good time, and they cleaned up the entire car inside and out before it was returned to me. These guys do a great job. I highly recommend them.

This is the first time we have used Ivan's and rate it "as good as it gets!" - actually we would rate it 10 out of 5 if we could! Let me tell you why.

1) exceptional, quality service from everyone with whom we interacted: Marjorie was great - so empathetic and efficient. Chris and Ivan were very friendly and knowledgeable and the repair job was beautifully done
2) great communications with us - Chris and Marjorie told us where they were sourcing the parts and where the car was in the repair process
3) the shop itself was immaculate
4) the loaner cars were clean and had no signage on them
5) car was washed and cleaned after the repairs

In short, we hope we won't have to use there services again but if we have to choose an auto repair shop, for sure it will be Ivan's. It is fantastic to deal with a family-owned business that really cares about their customers, goes the extra mile and delivers impressive, quality (and guaranteed) service. Keep up the good work!!

So I hit a deer going down the I-5 while I was in Blaine...in broad daylight. I never would have thought in a million years of hitting a deer, so be careful for all your folks driving down to Bellingham. It was right after I crossed over from the truck crossing too.

My front bumper was toast, it was falling off and it was all dented and broken... Always get comprehensive insurance if you don't have it, ICBC covered it and my insurance didn't go up, I just paid the $300 deductible. The next day I Yelped some auto shops and Carstar was on top of the list (thanks fellow Yelpers!) and they were close to my home. Off I went, not knowing if I was going to get ripped off or not as it's my first time for an auto body repair.

Marjorie, the queen of the shop, was super helpful and knew more about cars than most mechanics. She was so nice and reassuring, I've never met such a kind soul. She took a look at the damage and I told her I had a wedding to attend the next day but I didn't want to drive with a ugly bumper. She got me into their shop loaner right away! It was a brand new Corolla with all the technology.

I took my car in on a Friday, and I had it back on a Wednesday, the turnaround time was amazing! Also, shoutout to Chris, as he was super friendly and knew his stuff. Oh, and the shop was super clean with fresh paint, and no dust, which means alot to me as so many mom and pop mechanic shops are filthy and gross.

So thanks again guys for the great work on my car, and all the hardwork you guys put into making the shop so seamless, I would recommend Carstar to anyone that needs an auto body shop.

Took my vehicle to Ivan's after an accident. I could not have been more happy with the way they handled everything. From the receptionist to the guys on the floor, everyone was polite, friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make you happy. They even fixed a couple of small things that were not even related to the collision. My vehicle might even look better now than it did before the accident. All around, a great experience and kudos to the staff

My entire rear windshield glass shattered after going over a speed bump in my build's parking garage. The windshield wiper came out place and dented the aluminum piece underneath. The windshield was repaired a little under a year ago here. I brought my car in to the shop and was told I must have hit something, something must have hit it, it could not have just happened on its own. I then brought my car to a different accredited glass shop and was told that the windshield wiper was not secured and was completely mobile. They even suggested I go back to the original shop. Had to deal with poor attitude and completely shirking away from any responsibility even though their website states guarantee of workmanship.

These folks are super pleasant, very organized and did prompt and terrific work on our vehicle!!
