Extremely good and fresh Mexican food. Best place on the island hands down. Only down side is long wait times, waited 15min just to order and I was the only one in line. They do have a sign explaining the long wait so that's the price of really good Mexican food! It doesn't deter me from going back just don't be in a rush or call ahead and order takeout. Their Camaranos a la Diablo are particularly good!

I eat food that I normally cannot find back home in Hawaii.
Casa Revolucion Taqueria was suggested to me, "They are more authentic."
I placed my order on line, very easy process. Paid, the food was ready really fast. They have a few tables inside and a couple of tables outside.
There is a condiment bar with salsa and other toppings.
The food is good and definitely a repeat. Give them a try.

i tried calling regarding how the rice was cooked (vegan or not) and she stated it was "yellow rice" and i asked for clarification and she just said "yes" and
i said, "yes, what's sorry," and she hung up on me!!! we tried calling three more times and she continued
to pick up, hang up and purposefully put me the call
      on hold saying NOTHING.

don't waste your time going here simply due to the fact that they're incredibly rude and unprofessional. wth was that? they find a problem in answering a dietary restriction?! f*******k them. that lady should be removed immediately!

Consistently great. My "go to" taqueria... and that is saying a lot considering the abundance of taquerias and taco trucks all over.

I know most will go for the super burrito but I love their cheese enchilada. I know it's simple but it is also easy to ruin. Just delicious.

But don't worry, their burritos, tacos, tostadas... are great. We haven't had anything we haven't liked.

And finally, their chips are fresh and they have plenty of options for salsa.

We found this spot on a whim. It's a small little spot with a couple spots to eat outside on the sidewalk. Nothing too special. The staff is friendly enough and the food was good. I wouldn't say I'm in a rush to come back for what I got which was two cheese enchilada and a chicken quesadilla. Honestly the food for the most part was 3 stars but the reason I gave them the extra star is because the chips are sooo crisp and delish! When I say I could eat an entire large bag of them I mean it! I'll be back for the chips again soon and take them to go!

Had two great burritos here, one super chicharrón and one super vegetarian. Their Thursday burrito special is a good deal, and both our orders hit the spot! I also enjoy their salsa bar, the orange one is my favorite. I appreciated that the woman who took our orders was helpful and friendly. Definitely my go-to spot on the island for burritos!

Food: The food at Taqueria was undeniably delicious. I tried the carne asada super taco, which was delicious and filling. My colleague opted for the torta, and gave it two thumbs up. Their chips and salsa, which were hands down the best in town (IMHO). I would easily give the food a 5 out of 5 stars. Horchata was pretty good as well.

Service: Unfortunately, the customer service left much to be desired. While the food was served timely and accurately, I would rate the service a 5 out of 10. There seemed to be a lack of attentiveness and friendliness from the staff, which detracted from the overall dining experience. Improvement in this aspect would greatly enhance the overall impression of the restaurant.

Ambience: On the bright side, the ambience at Taqueria was quite pleasant. The restaurant was clean and not overly crowded, providing a comfortable atmosphere for enjoying our meal. The simple yet cozy décor added to the overall charm of the place. I would rate the ambience a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

In summary, Taqueria offers delicious food with a cozy ambience, and the customer service could use some improvement to make it a truly exceptional dining destination.

The handmade sign "Taco Tuesday" caught my attention! 4 tacos + aqua fresca for $11! Can't beat that for lunch in Alameda. Order at the counter and find a table. Service was friendly and quick. I ordered chili verde, carnitas, al pastor & carne asada tacos with horchata. Added an order of chips too

I'll have to be honest. I couldn't tell which meat was in which taco. One was nicely seasoned and one was bland but the flour tortillas were definitely house-made and fresh. You can tell the chips were made from fresh tortillas. They were hearty and crispy. The salsa bar offered 4 types of increasing heat. The horchata was on the sweet side.

Great spot for a quick lunch

All of their food hits the spot! Orange salsa is good as well, favorite place in the east bay for burritos.

      Updated review

I've always been an advocate for this charming Mexican restaurant in Alameda, as evident from my previous glowing review. However, my recent experiences have compelled me to share some concerns.

In my last three visits, the service has noticeably declined. Despite explicitly requesting no dairy due to an intolerance--a detail I've emphasized repeatedly--my requests have consistently been overlooked, resulting in meals with crema. Initially, I considered these incidents as isolated mistakes, but the pattern has persisted, raising questions about attentiveness to customer needs.

Additionally, during our latest takeout order, both our party and the other party we were with were disconcerted to discover an automatic 20% gratuity added to our bills. This policy was not communicated to us and is unusual for takeout service. This issue, coupled with an error in our order, undermines the trust and value I've placed in this establishment. Moreover, the friends we recommended this place to did not receive the chips and salsa they had paid for in their order.

While I remain a fan of the cuisine and pricing, these issues, particularly the handling of dietary restrictions and transparency in tipping, need addressing. I hope this feedback is received constructively, as I genuinely wish to continue supporting this restaurant but require assurance that such concerns are taken seriously.

An auto gratuity of 20% is added to takeout orders without consent or knowledge.
After repeatedly saying no dairy, due to an allergy, this is what we got.

Finally decided to check off this bookmark and I am so glad I did. My usual go to order at a taqueria is a super shrimp and steak burrito and this place hit a home run. Burrito was perfectly proportioned with plenty of plump shrimp and seasoned steak. The nice lady greeted me with a smile and offered salsa containers before I even had a chance to ask. Their cozy interior was tidy and clean. Surprised to see the place completely empty at 7pm. I will definitely be back for my next burrito fix.
