I booked an acupressure shampoo and conditioner appointment here and Dri was really thorough with the process. My hair is super shiny and soft again. I wish I could come down to Palo Alto more often for this service!

This review is long overdue. After moving from New York to the Bay Area, I went to a lot of salons in search for a hair stylist that I trusted. Since then, I've been coming here for the past 3 years for Dri, and he's always been great about giving me exactly what I'm looking for in my photos when it comes to haircuts! I can be occasionally indecisive but he's always very willing to provide his point of view. Also, he cuts my hair in a way that it grows out so well that I don't need to come in as often for trims. His haircut and color prices are reasonable.

Additionally, there was one time where I had to come in for a rush color appointment since I had to catch a flight shortly after the appointment. Not only was he was quick and professional, but I was also able to get to my flight in time after the appointment!

I have been going to Dri for sometime now. And I am always amazed at the work he does. He is a true color artist. My hair is not the easiest to handle, however what my hair gives in trouble I hope I make up with my absolute admiration for his work. After being in his chair of magic- I feel like such a better version of myself the next day. That is a feeling only a true artist can give their client.

I moved to Stanford over a year ago and have been waiting for the perfect salon to go to for a cut and color. I came to Casual Chic Salon for a cut and balyage and knew I found the right place! Dri provided me with a high
quality look that I'm very satisfied with. He even corrected my toner a few days later after I realized it wasn't quite what I asked for and assured me that he wouldn't stop until I was 100% satisfied. I really appreciated his efforts to make me happy and have already recommended his salon to my friends.

Stop hesitating and just book with Dri!

I've lived in the Bay Area for 10 years and have never went back to the same person or salon. I was always searching for a new place and even tried high end salons thinking without a doubt the quality would be good.. but nope! My hair is fine and long and just want a regular cut so its not like I am asking for something drastic. The amount charged for services vs the quality in the Peninsula is ridiculous.

I booked a hair cut with Dri for him to fix a horrible haircut I got a few days before. I was so glad I did because he did a fantastic job and the quality was superb. He is very meticulous and the end result will prove that; EVERY SINGLE TIME! He is super friendly and nice and if he notices you just want to be quiet and relax he won't bother you or try to gossip or if you want to talk he is very engaging.

Stop searching for another hair salon and just book an appointment with him! The prices are also super reasonable which is a rarity in the Bay Area especially Palo Alto area.

There are so many salons that look super cool/trendy, especially searching on instagram, but don't let that fool you; as it has me many times.

You will not regret booking here!

Dri is such an attentive owner and stylist! I found this salon on a Groupon and was very impressed that they had such a reasonably-priced balayage in Pali Alto. He was doing a touch up, as my blonde was growing out and it looked even better than the original done by my resident stylist in Arizona. I have returned two times since to have my hair done "mermaid" (red and purple), and he always shows me color swatches and asks how I want to vary them for my liking.
He was surprised that the last time I returned that the red had held as well as it had, 6 weeks after having been done; it is always the fastest shade to fade.
Additionally he has his own line of styling tools. Definitely a salon to check out if you want quality without the steep charges in NorCal.

The best haircut and color! I started coming to casual chic about 8 months ago and am never going to a different salon from now on! Dri does such a great job coloring and cutting, doing exactly what I want. I receive so many compliments on my hair and am constantly asked where I get it done! I love how my hair looks naturally lighter, and it's so well blended that there's not much maintenance. My hair is still smooth and doesn't feel damaged which is amazing considering I've now gotten it colored at casual chic salon 3 times in 8 months! I can't wait to come back and try a new cut or color, I fully trust Dri with my hair and know I'm in good hands here

Got the groupon for partial balayage and decided to try it since this place seems pretty promising.

TL;DR: Bad experience first time, but they have a service guarantee policy where if you don't like it or something went wrong, they'll fix it for you (free of charge unless you add colors or additional services)

Let me start off by describing my first visit:
Got to the salon 5 minutes before my appointment and was informed I'd have to wait 10-15 mins, it was no big deal. Finally, it was my turn. After showing the stylist pictures and letting her know that I didn't want any brassiness at all, I let her do her own thing. She started by using the lightener and said my hair pulled a lot of orange. She then applied the ash brown coloring and when she was done, I saw no ash brown at all. Instead, it was even brassier and super coppery when I left. Apparently she didn't use the right toner to get rid of the red tones (should've used green).

Scheduled another visit, this time with Kaylee. My friend had her hair done by her and I could tell she knew much more about hair, which colors would work and how to achieve the look clients wanted, and overall a very knowledgable and professional hair stylist. We talked about what could and couldn't be possible in one session. This time around, I felt a lot more relieved since I knew she was confident in giving me the results I wanted. A few hours later after two toners, she got rid of all the brass from my previous session free of charge. Love her and highly recommend her! She's so friendly and easy to talk to. Will definitely be coming again!

My hair cut was pretty good but I did not feel like the proper COVID precautions were taken during my visit:
1. AC was off the whole time and there was no ventilation.
2. My stylist wore a surgical mask that did not cover her nose.
3. When I went to pay, my stylist had taken her mask off.
I am worried that I was exposed to the virus and would recommend the salon increase their precautionary measures. It was not safe, and I regret going because the haircut was not worth the risk.
