CC Tree Design

I'd give ten stars if I could. This is year 4 or 5 Christopher and his team have trimmed my trees and I have yet to be anything but thrilled with their work.

In addition to doing so much careful trimming by hand, and meticulously cleaning afterwards--they also cleaned up a huge mess of pulled weeds and leaves *I* had left that didn't even belong to them.

Christopher is the ultimate professional: knowledgeable, communicative, kind, and it's plain that besides just being good at his work, he genuinely cares about the trees. He also hires the best people. And Samantha in the office likewise is wonderful.

Hands down the best arborist in town! No one is better!

Christopher is not just an arborist but a tree and plant life advisor. He has helped us in many ways over the past few years:
1. Pruning our huge cedar tree with a complicated trunk structure.
2. Pruning other smaller trees, with an eye toward tree health and windowing of views.
3. Advice on a tree root system and the best way to improve the health of a root crown.

Christopher and his team have been kind and thoughtful, always on time, respectful of our home and garden, and exceedingly easy to work with. His team has a great rapport with neighbors, left our job site spotless (cleaner when they started), and is a trustworthy and friendly group.

Additionally, Christopher has taken the time to educate my wife and me on the best way to care for our trees, has been available between appointments to talk, and has helped us learn more about tree care.

Overall, Christopher loves what he does, which shows in how he and his team show up. I cannot recommend CC Tree Design enough!

I have had CC Tree Design work on projects over the past 20 years and the quality of the tree care has always been exceptional and the crew considerate and careful. When the tree or trees in question are important to my clients I usually insist that they contact CC Tree Design.

I have used Christopher Campbell a few times and it was always unnecessarily difficult to book anything!

My most recent experience, however, was the last straw. l have a dogwood tree that has now encroached onto my neighbor's home causing multiple hazards. l emailed the office manager, Sam, to see if l could get the dogwood tree trimmed, as well as a maple tree. She explained that they would have wait until spring as it wasn't safe to trim trees this time of year. Okay, maybe not, but at minimum, l need to trim the dogwood tree branch that is a major hazard.

Sam kept asking for photos which l sent her along with my availability. As l work UK hours, my schedule is a bit unusual, which she is aware of. She explained that she could book one guy at a cost of $950, and asked for availability which l had already provided multiple times.

A week has gone by and l haven't heard anything from Sam.

Definitely looking to work with a more professional and flexible arborist. In the meantime, l hope the hazardous branches from the dogwood tree don't shatter the glass on my neighbor's window during a storm, or catch fire.

lf you have a lot of time, and want to go through an arduous, stressful experience, then by all means just try to book with Christopher Campbell and get past Sam's gate keeping.

After contacting her again today, she accused me of making up the fact that tree was hazardous to my neighbor's property. Seriously? Can you really tell that from a few photos? I was then accused of canceling multiple appointments. Huh? I NEVER made an appointment! Sam would not permit it!

Obviously you have little regard for repeat customers and that speaks volumes!

Christopher was very knowledgeable. I live in Bernal Heights and had a Big Fir tree in my backyard that needed to be cut. The crew were very professional. They did an awesome job! I would highly recommend this company.

Over the years we have had many arborists take care of the Coast Live Oak in our rear yard. Chris and crew did the best job of all of them. Knowledgeable and professional, they gave our declining oak a new lease on life. They did not 'strip' the branches but kept any growth on the limbs. Combined with selective pruning, the tree looks fuller than ever. We are very happy with the service they provided.

The overall experience with every element of Christopher Campbell Tree Design was very good - from the initial assessment with Chris, to the constant contact with the office regarding scheduling, to the team who came out in the rain and handled the job pleasantly and professionally!

I have two avocado trees that have suffered through years of drought and questionable pruning. They developed into a significant part of the ecosystem and ambience of the backyard, and landscapers had told me that I would lose them with their design. I did not want that to be the case; I turned to a trained arborist - Chris Campbell...what a great move!

It's been 3 months post pruning, mulching, and the recommended watering. The trees look healthy, full, green...and there's fruit. They help block highway nose/pollution, while creating a nice respite in the backyard. I'm grateful for the professional assessment and treatment of these trees.

The crew have always been a great combination of knowledge, professionalism, approachability and they are willing and able to accommodate. As an artist with some experience in the field, I know I've been a challenge as a client. The quality of the work and the times we live in need to be considered when paying their bill.

We had a really great experience with CC Tree Design. Christopher spent a lot of time with us going over the job by phone and email, and gave us a very competitive bid. This company is completely unprofessional. I called them to give me an estimate for the removal of three trees. I left my phone number on their office recorder. Later that day Samantha called me back from her cell phone. I wrote the number down (because I'm a professional). Anyhow, there estimator did come out and evaluated the job along with my gardner, but they never sent me the quote. Finally, after more than three weeks I called both numbers and Samantha called me back. She said that they had decided to pass on the job. I asked why she hadn't atleast the common professional courtesy of calling me to let me know. She said because she didn't have my contact information. But she did because I had left it on their office recorder and she had previously called me from her cell phone. Also, I gave her my gardner (Sal's) phone number, so she could have called him to turn down the job.
This company is completely unprofessional. Samantha told me that they like the big jobs. So, apparently removing three 40 to 50 foot trees is too "small-time" for them and not worthy of there time. If I had known how unprofessional this company was I would have never contacted them. I hope you find this review helpful in making your decision selecting an arborist.
