Excellent company. Very professional, knowledgeable, and reputable. I had them do an inspection after Macys department store delivery guys insisted I had bedbugs because they found some yellow larvae on my old mattresses. No blood was found, which is what bedbugs leave behind. Found out it was from carpet beetles. Everyone has them in their homes. You just vacuum them up.

Absolutely no one wants to deal with pests, but in the unfortunate case that it has, I highly recommend Ada and Fermin ("Ferminator") at Certech! Ada is on top of her game replying to emails and coordinating with their techs who are on site. I learned more than I want about pests and treatments from them but feel like a much more empowered consumer in this area thanks to both of them. Really, really glad to have found Certech and that they were able to take care of the situation!

We moved into a new home recently and one night, whilst I was doing some work at around midnight in the basement, I heard a rustling noise. I looked over and let out a silent scream as I noticed a rat run past me.

I very quickly went through the various stages of grief, first doubting that i had even seen it, before getting angry that our home already had a rat problem. After feeling sad about it, I accepted it and hit up Yelp to look for a good rodent exclusion provider.

We got a few different quotes from different providers who educated us on the different ways to exclude rats. One vendor was extremely terse and turned up 6 hours early for a Sunday afternoon appointment - walked in, told us we had a rat problem, and then walked out. They later texted us with a one line quote...

Working with Sean from Certech was almost the entirely opposite experience. He turned up, listened to our concerns, gave us some thoughtful advice and walked us through how he would exclude the various problematic areas in our basement.

He suggested using bait boxes around our property to reduce the probability of rats getting in (although I've later read that these can harm owl wildlife since they consumed the poisoned rats - so something to be aware of), and proposed using concrete to permanently seal up any small holes where they might be coming in. He also pointed out several small gaps that we hadn't originally considered as being a problem and mentioned he would apply wire mesh to them.

We went ahead and scheduled with Certech (on my birthday, funnily enough) on the basis of their professional approach and competitive pricing.

Two weeks later, the traps that have been set are still "empty" and we haven't seen any evidence of rodent activity: no excrement and no paw prints in our subarea!

We're happy customers and now I can go back to tinkering in our basement late at night in peace.

I scheduled Certech to deal with a serious ant problem (much bigger than your typical ant situation after heavy rains or extreme heat).
Their Technician Gareth was communicative, professional, and punctual.

Like I said, this was a bigger problem than normal, and Certech stood by their guarantee. Gareth came back a couple times to get rid of the ants, trying something a little stronger each time, and solved the problem.

While we ended up taking care of the problem ourselves, Justin was super helpful and responsive. We may be calling him in the future if our remedy does not hold. Justin was the fastest response and took time to call us himself.
