I overall love the impression and flavor of Cha Cha Cha. If you want the chief of all sangria I'd suggest coming here. It's delish.
It gets packed on weekend nights, but who cares. The drinks make up for it.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christen T.Sacramento, CA1991915Aug 24, 2024
The food is so flavorful and delicious. It's consistently excellent. The service is always great whether we order over the phone, done in,or pick up. One of my favorite restaurants in SF.
MUST TRY:
Jerk chicken
Plantanos (always sweet and soft)
WingsHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 30, 2024
Bread $0 - decent, fresh, nothing special. Good for dipping in the saucy dishes
Cha3 Jerk Chicken $14 - good. Perfectly cooked chicken and white rice went well with the tasty sauce. Good portion
Cajun Shrimp $14 - good/decent. 6 pieces of normal medium sized shrimp. Sauce was very good and flavorful
Chicken Paillard $14 - decent. Good portion of normal chicken breast. Sauce was creamy and tasty, but salty
Paella Mixta $24 - very good. Our favorite dish. No soccarat (not cooked on a pan until crispy), but still good. Generous portion of rice and variety of seafood and meat
Glass of Sangria $9 - good, can't say I tasted anything special about it, but almost every table had a pitcher of it
Surprisingly not packed on a Sunday at noon. Walked in with a party of 4 and was seated right away. They don't take reservations (other location in the Mission does). They were consistently busy with people going in and out, but never a full house. Decent size restaurant. They have several small tables outside as well. Full bar. Service was good. Parking was free and plentiful along the Panhandle Park 2 blocks away. No issues at all. Overall, great food and service, very reasonable prices and portions. 5 starsHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2393181Jul 16, 2024
Great ambiance, lively music, Cha Cha Cha offers pretty decent Caribbean cuisine.
We went on a Friday night and got seated immediately.
Food - the steak was tangy and flavorful. I loved it, the meat was on the tough side. The rice was also flavorful and moist. The downside was the empanada was a miss. The crust was a bit too dry for my liking and didn't feel too impressive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 8, 2024
Located in Haight Ashbury, across the park & wholefoods. I went during happy hour but didn't get their happy hour food. I was looking forward to trying their jerk chicken ($16) & plaintains ($10). The jerk chicken is 2 chicken thighs with rice & sauce on top. I never had these spicy curry sauce & it was delicious. It was a lot of food for me so I took some home. The plantain were delicious & so was their sangria. I want to come back to try their Cajun soup & paella. Also I like the interior of Latin influence, a couple tables & a big bar.

Located in the Haight/Ashbury district, this eatery is a great stop!
We ordered a Cuban and the Ropa Vieja for our meals and we could not have been happier. The food is so fresh and flavourful! If you're looking for a great spot to have Lunch, stop in.
Oh! Their Bar is amazing!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 15, 2024Updated review
One of my top favorite places to eat in San Francisco!
Everything is delicious and packed of flavor.
I highly recommend the platanos, potatoes, ceviche, paella mixto, and wings.
Sangria is always a good choice!
Not far from many unique places to shop and fairly close to GGP.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Oct 31, 2017Previous reviewThis has been one of my favorite places to eat in San Francisco since 2008. The most difficult thing is trying to figure out what tapa I won't order when I'm there, each one of their tapas is flavorful! I highly recommend making a reservation ahead of time If you're with the group larger than four. Just like any other restaurant in the city that has the best food be prepared to wait a bit, it's worth the wait. Beautiful alters set up throughout the restaurant. Lots of great shops around the area.

Delicious hearty Sunday lunch in the Haight!! We had a handful of shareables as per waiter recommendation plus a small sangria pitcher, including plantains, chips and fresh guac, chicken wings, jerk chicken, and quesadilla with BBQ pork. Food did not disappoint and was very very flavorful!! Great casual ambiance and excellent friendly service - they even have a little sangria garden outside.

I came to Cha Cha Cha for dinner with a group of 6 and we had a nice time. We ordered tapas to share for the table, including the jerk chicken, ceviche, calamari, cajun shrimp, lechon asado, bbq chicken quesadilla, fried new potatoes, and spanish rice.
The jerk chicken was my favorite thing that we ordered, the chicken was so tender and flavorful. It literally fell off the bone! The cajun shrimp had a delicious creamy sauce, but the shrimp were very overcooked and chewy. Definitely have to dip the bread into all the extra sauce!
The new potatoes, calamari, and spanish rice were all surprisingly good. I would skip the lechon asado next time, the meat wasn't tender and I wished it wasn't so lean.
Overall, a good meal with some standout items. Service was friendly and ambiance was nice but food was a bit overpriced for what it was in my opinion.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - May 28, 2024
Been here a couple of times. Fun ambiance, decor, and music! Great corner location as well. Also liked that the bar area is in a separate zone as that's where we sat. We shared a sangria pitcher which was really good. It could have used some more ice for that extra refreshing taste but also glad that it's not watered down. Service on a early Saturday evening was fast but it wasnt too busy.
Fun drink options as well as a nice selection of latin tapas. We shared the arroz con pollo and the plantain chips. Everything had a fresh and "homemade" approach and inspired seasoning and flavors. Really enjoyed the plantain chips/fries(?). These have been my favorite ones ive tried and the dip that came with them had a nice garlic aioli type flavor to it. Will definitely recommend and will come back to try more items and sip more sangria.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 13, 2024
We visited Cha Cha Cha on a Sunday (late) afternoon, and they were able to seat our party of 7 right away. The interior was spacious, with colorful walls and vibrant decor. For drinks, we got a pitcher of Sangria, which was perfect for sharing as a group. The Sangria itself was tasty, but far from the best I've had. For food, my sister and I ordered 4 tapas to share - the Cha3 Jerk Chicken, Fried Platanos Maduros, Cajun Shrimp, and Chicken Curry Empanada. This was kind of a lot for two people, but we were absolutely starving.
The Cha3 Jerk Chicken was delicious! The sauce was so flavorful and had the perfect level of spice, and the chicken itself was very soft. The Fried Platanos Maduros were also excellent, and the portion size was generous. The Cajun Shrimp was one of our favorites, mostly because of the creamy sauce. It was almost curry-like, and so delicious! Once the shrimp were gone, we didn't want to waste it, and ended up just dipping in bread to finish the sauce. The only mediocre item was the Chicken Curry Empanada, which we could've done without. It was just a little dry and forgettable in taste. We were able to finish almost all our food, and left extremely full and happy. Would return!Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 1
