      This restaurant is very modern, has air conditioning, and very good food. Inside is quiet, comfortable, and not too busy. The food is very good and you can see from the menu that they have everything. Take-out orders come in through a side entrance. That keeps the kitchen busy and makes this restaurant a good place for a quiet dinner or conversation.
      It is on South El Camino and there is plenty of parking on El Camino just past the restaurant.
      I highly recommend it for your next meal.

      Hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in the peninsula! It is a small restaurant with few seating - I have always only ordered takeout from here so I can't speak for the service. But I swear this place is a guilty pleasure and we get take out here multiple times a month.

      While the restaurant is small, I am sure they get a flood of to-go orders as they made the pick-up process efficient by having a separate take-out window to the right side of the restaurant. This makes it so easy so that you don't have to walk into the building and stand awkwardly around the tables while others are dining in.

      Our go-to orders are the the Pad Se-Ew with beef and yellow curry with chicken and a side of coconut rice. Yummmm!! I am very picky with my Thai food and this place is a solid 5/5. For most stir fry noodles, I like to be able to TASTE the fire from the wok and their pad se-ew has a delicious smokey taste to it. You can also never go wrong with their curry, which is deliciously and savory.

      Came here on a Saturday around 12pm with a party of 2 and were seated immediately. Service is prompt and food came out fast.

      Dishes:
      Tom Yum (Shrimp) - delicious! Tom yum is my favorite thing to order at all Thai restaurants. This iteration is great, I'm a big fan of the large chunks of onion since it's a bit more of a unique take but I liked how the flavor profile worked out. You also get nice big chunks of mushrooms and tomatoes, it really hits the spot.

      Pumpkin Curry (Chicken) - delicious and filling. The curry has great flavor and pairs really well with chicken as the protein. High recommend

      Other dishes:
      * brown jasmine rice (also recommend this - healthy and delicious!)
      * thai ice coffee
      * string beans

      Between two people these dishes were the perfect portions for us. We finished everything, no leftovers.

      It's still hard to find a decent pad Thai spot in the Bay Area with San Mateo being no exception. I been here about 5+ times. Mostly for indoor dining lunch and once for takeout. My go to item would be ordering the pad thai with beef. Since I been back they have updated the menus once with the lunch specials at $15 now. This is my first time eating here since the updated menu. The pad Thai today was a bit watery and ketchupy for me. I requested a 9 spicy and got a 6 spicy with a 10 sweet.I also ordered a coke with the price coming out to 22.47.
      Double wammy in my book. The dish was a super let down I even asked the manager if they changed cooks to which the manager replied no. Overall I was coming here for the pad Thai.

      Came to Charm Thai Eatery with my friend Aric for lunch today. We had the roti with green curry (5/5) as an appeteizer and the lunch portions of yellow curry with chicken (5/5) and chicken chow mein (3/5). I thought the Roti and Yellow Curry with chicken were delicious. My friend thought his chicken chow mein was bland and created for middle america.

      I've been to Thailand and have a pretty high standard for Thai food. We don't have many great options for Thai food in the Peninsula but Charm Thai Eatery may be the best of the local choices. The food and portions are good enough to keep you coming back.

      Street parking only. Closes at 3 pm, so we had to order quickly. Chicken satay was very good. Beef noodle soup average, soup base not bone soup, beef was a little tough. Crab pad Thai was average, noodles a little too wet for our taste. Sweet sour sauce on the side of fried fish. Fried fish had too much breading, average. The service was very good. Ambiance average, small cafe. Overall, this eating was only 3 stars out of 5.

      I had their Pad Se-Ew! Tastes like homemade goodness - not too oily or heavy. Loved the mix of flavors with chicken, egg, carrots, and broccoli.

      Huge rip off. We ordered the eggplant dish, the eggplant was mushy and overcooked, and worst of all, half of the dish was fillers like peppers and onions.

      Same with the seafood dish we ordered, half of the dish was junk like onions and peppers. Totally not worth a $20 price tag.

      The crab pad Thai had no visible crab in it whatsoever, yet they up charged from the regular pad Thai. The taste was way too sweet, more like eating a sugary dessert than a pad Thai.

      Overall, poor tasting food, low quality, and too expensive for all the junk filler that you get. I don't get the high reviews here and will not go back.

      Thai food is good and had many options for vegetarians as well (customize the curries based on your choice).

      We had ordered papaya salad and pad se-ew. Both were delicious!!
      The pumpkin curry for the season tasted delicious with perfect flavors with the rice.

      Ample amount of parking near restaurant and great service with a decent ambiance.

      Highly recommend if you are looking for good Thai food.

      Pumpkin was undercooked, almost raw. Roti was oily. Green curry roti small portion. Brown rice very good as well as sticky rice. Service was swift. Spicy noodle veggie dish very tasty. $220.00 for six people. Eating out is becoming prohibitive due to inflation.
