Chicago Handy

Norbert and Tony came by twice within the last week to help with a few tasks. They were on time, courteous, kept our space clean, and completed the work efficiently. They hung artwork, took a look at a leaky sump pump and gave a referral to a plumber, and replaced some speakers.

I appreciate how quick they are to respond, too! Definitely will be reaching out to them again in the future. Attached are photos of some art they hung.

We hired Chicago Handy to do significant drywall repair, along with cabinet and bifold door fixes. Norbert was responsive on the phone, and his work was efficient and professional. I highly recommend his work.

After working with Fixer and Fit It People for a few years, I can say Chicago Handy operates at a higher quality level. We had splash guards installed on our tub multiples times before, but now are finally secured. Similarly, we needed a few passes at a curtain rod. I will say that the amount of work done per hour is less, but I'll take that trade off for the work being done properly.

I highly recommend Chicago Handy as your go to for home repairs. Today I had a list of items in need of repair, and they did an expert job.
The list went from simple things like caulking my shower/tub tile to fixing a sink and faucet that a plumber gave up on making work properly. The latter saved me the expense of replacement all because of the creativity and knowledge of Andre and his partner. The firm is highly responsive and detailed, so they understand what is needed before showing up. Amazing folks doing great work, so call them!

Chicago Handy is great. I own a Handyman business in Arizona and I needed some help with a tenant in one of my rental units in Chicago. Chicago Handy was extremely responsive. They also made suggestions where my tenant could've fixed the problem and we could've not paid them. It wasn't in their best interest, but it was in my best interest. However, they recommended that just because they thought that was the right thing to do. When they went to the rental unit because my tenant couldn't fix it, they were efficient and professional. I can't recommend them enough. If you need a handyman in Chicago, I suggest reaching out to them

He did a variety of tasks well and all quickly. He provided much needed insight into tasks and saved me trouble down the road. He made suggestions that saved me time and trouble.

Norbert and his crew were great to work with. Our basement was totally ripped up after a flood and they did an entire restoration, bathroom, vanity, drywall and more. They also did some additional work around the house that was long overdue. Quick turnaround time too. Very prompt, cleaned up every day and great attention to detail. Would definitely recommend.

I have been trying for weeks to figure out how to stop my dog from opening the door to my apartment and leaving. With limited ability to modify the door/door handle as a renter and a big dog who overpowers traditional baby proofing, I was at my wits' end. I called Chicago Handy and Norbert was able to help me come up with a temporary solution over the phone just by looking at pictures I sent and also gave me next steps (which he'll help me with) to come up with a permanent solution. I'm so relieved and so grateful for his help--especially on a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend getting in touch with them!

As someone that will never be confused for being handy, hiring a trustworthy handyman is a must. Norbert and his team were responsive, on time, and did a great job. Norbert also called me a couple times to make sure he understood the scope of the work (shower mold removal, painting the bathroom ceiling, and fixing a door), and then called me after the job was done to make sure we were on the same page for the invoice. He clearly knows his stuff, including the typical condo buildings downtown, and I definitely plan to hire him and his team again.
