Rather large expo. They've moved to Hofstra's sports complex which is a bit smaller. If big crowds aren't for you I'd stay away. There were a lot of vendors selling other sweets and foods besides chocolates as well. They were working on a time slot basis (10-12, 12-2, and so on). I felt that this made the parking and entrance process a lot smoother.

Drove around for fifteen minutes looking for the venue. Absolutely no signs anywhere on Hempstead turnpike directing attendees to the location of the event. Even when you found the building, it was a guessing game to determine where the entrance was. We bought tickets for the 10am-12 pm entry time, however the place was still very crowded.
I understand the vendors are there to make money, but $20.00 for four (4) little truffles?? I did find a vendor selling 4 truffles for $10.00.
The rum cakes that were being sold were very good and sold at a reasonable price. There were many options; chocolate (of course) alcohol, cheese, baked goods etc.
Over all , I payed $40.00 for a big overcrowded flea market. Wouldn't do it again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 5, 2017First to Review
Ho lee chocolate!
This expo is enormous!!! Like extremely enormous! Lol. The museum is a great place to hold an event like this because of the multiple floors and the huge layout. Every corner we turned around there was more!
What I really liked about this event was that it wasn't only chocolate like the name may perceive you to think. They had wine and spirits vendors, food vendors and hand made beauty vendors among others.
For a $15 ticket you do get your money's worth. Some vendors were way stingy with their sample and others welcome you asking for seconds so it's all about feeling it out. A lot of them will do an event special on their pricing of their product which is a score if you like what they got.
Most parts of the museum is open while this is all going on so once your done you can walk around and see what they have.
I will tell you one thing, GET. THERE. EARLY.
When we walked out around 2-3 pm the line was about a mile long all the way down the parking lot. It was insane.
All in all it was a great time. It can get very packed so if you don't like crowds I would certainly avoid this event. Bring a shopping bag to pack all your bought goodies in. You can bring in your own water and soda. And don't be afraid to ask for seconds!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dominik D.Shreveport, LA321595711116Dec 12, 2017
I went to this last year and thought it was a pretty fun excursion. The only down side is that there were way too many people. The chocolate was a bit expensive, but all of it was quite good. Enjoy the war planes in the expo hall while you're here too.
