City Captain Transportation

We used City Captain Transportation to our hotel from San Diego Airport on June 23 and June 28. We had a group of 13 middle and high school students and chaperones. We were picked up at the airport in the Mercedes Sprint Van which had more than enough room for everyone to be comfortable. Drivers were courteous, professional and very helpful. I would high recommend this 5-star service.

Will use this company again

Late update from 2022. Was able to use City captain again for their sprinter airport transfer service with our family group of 12 this time. Another round trip. The driver came again earlier than the booked time and attached the car seats for us and loaded up the sprinter. The vehicle was very clean and the driver was very cautious. No issues and again a smooth transaction with no hidden fees or up charges.

Coming back from a trip, our flight was delayed past midnight and luggage took forever to obtain. This time Jonas came on time again still with a big smile at about 1am while cracking jokes. Great personality and cared and took pride in his work. Dropped us all off safely and again everything was streamlined to perfection. We look forward to using their services whenever we have our family trips and need to move the whole bunch all together. If you're looking for great value with great service, don't look any further and book with them. Everything is included with their price including gratuity and the drivers don't expect any extra gratuity for doing their jobs. Thanks again

We have used this company a small handful of times but will not do so again. Last time we tried to use them they were supposed to pick us up at 5am in order to get us to the airport in time for our flight.
I did not receive a text from the driver prior to our pickup time so I texted him as instructed by the automated text I received from the company. I also tried calling him, but no answer. I called the dispatch and also the call was not answered so I left a message.
Time passed and we were getting nervous and it was past the pickup time. I could not get an Uber or Lyft at that hour. Finally by some stroke of luck I secured a taxi cab that was close by. Old school Yellow Cab saved the day.
I realize that our pickup was super early, but if you don't want to take customers at that hour, don't take them! If you confirm our trip and state that you will make the pickup, you need to make the pickup.
So here comes the icing on the cake...
We are at the airport waiting to board and I text the driver asking them to please instruct the company to refund our trip cost. Driver writes back that he's sorry, that he was at the gate (to our community) but that the gate code I gave him wasn't working. He sends me a picture of the gate guard house stating that there is no guard there to open the gate for him.
Funny thing is that the Yellow Cab got in the gate with the code first try, no problem. Also by the time we left our community there was no other car outside the gate and it was still pitch black as night. This driver's picture is clearly after the sun came up.
So he shows up a full hour and a half late from the pickup time (WHY?), and has the nerve to try to gaslight us? Simply amazing.
A tip to you people: Instead of trying to gaslight your customers with weak and obviously false statements, just take responsibility. It will go a lot further, I promise you. This was just adding insult to injury.
Anyway, we will not be using them ever again.

Our driver JT was incredible driver, he went above an beyond with providing us a great experience driving us to rosarito and back.
He was easy to get along with and on both trips did a quick stop for a bite to eat.
We highly recommend using this service for your excursions to and from Mexico with ease to getting back and forth from the airport.

I highly recommend City Captain for your transportation needs whether you're a local or visiting San Diego area. It was easy to make reservations online, get email confirmations and texts. The selection of rides (sedan, SUV, limos) was impressive.
Day of trip, our driver texted in advanced and arrived right on time. If you travel internationally the first leg of your trip from here to Los Angeles (LAX) will be in comfort and style. Greg was friendly, drove safely and very professional. He is very familiar with LA traffic patterns, best route and airport terminals. His car was immaculately clean and was prepared (if needed) with car seats. Exceptional service, I will be recommending!

We booked transportation to and from the airport along with car seats and they arrived well before the scheduled pick up times and made it effortless for our family with small children. I booked a daddy-daughter weekend at Legoland for my son and granddaughter for the holidays. I was referred to a car service for transport to/from the airport with the expectation that they could take Lyft around town and to/from Legoland. I booked the car with another company. Then, my family got stuck at the hotel when they discovered Lyft and Uber don't have offer car seats or booster seats except in NYC.

We called Peter, our driver from the other other car service, and he referred us to Yosief at City Captain. I was surprised that a competitor in the area would speak so highly of his rival, but this speaks volumes of how nice both of them are, even to each other! I was impressed with Peter, and I trusted him completely, and when I spoke with Yosief, I felt so relieved.

City Captain responded with immediate help. Yosief and Greg were the most gracious and generous people. They gave me special consideration since I had planned the trip for my family from out of the area. Their benevolence made the difference between a 'weekend disaster' and 'weekend to remember.'

Greg is a consummate professional, and we were all privileged to have his services available in such short notice. I can't thank Yosief and Greg enough for being there for us. What a great experience!
