This place was great the staff was really friendly and efficient they installed my new car alarm and changed my fuse for my amplifier , the guys were pretty cool , and they did a great job, they beat anyone's prices in installing alarms and stereos subs and beats and even tint windows , their $100 dollars cheaper guarantee check these guys out for sure

Wonderful service from City Car Radio. Our radio on our 2017 Ford Escape quit working and driving to Daly City to a dealer felt so far away. They were able to order me a used radio on ebay and install for a great price. Thank you. Highly recommend. Happy to support local family businesses in the neighborhood.

Whether you have an older car like mine or a high end performance vehicle, Nick and Taylor treat all customers alike with great service, honest opinions and fair prices. This is a good family-run business and well worth supporting. I highly recommend City Car Radio.

The owners nick & taylor are both super knowledgeable, want to understand their customers needs, very friendly guys and welcoming to cold calls. I called them with a simple question and over the course of months that turned into me placing an order with them and having them install my gear. I couldn't have went to a better place. I highly recommend their shop. They're not out to scam you, they're earning their living unlike some of these ripoff shops. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

UPS delivered my replacement radio/tape/CD player for my 2003 Toyota Highlander and I needed a good technician to pull the original one and install the identical replacement. I was referred to City Car Radio. I called just a few minutes before 5:00 pm (closing time) to set up an appointment for next week. Nick said, "if you want, I can take care of it right now". I'm thinking, 'you have got to be kidding'... I couldn't get over there fast enough and on a Saturday, no less. After I arrived, the job was done in 20 minutes! Price was great and the service was over the top! I am one HAPPY customer ~ Yeaahh!

Nothing but great things to say about Taylor! He installed my dash camera (front and rear) and some extra power outlets. I was very impressed with the speed and quality of the install. Not to mention the fair price. I think the coolest thing was my camera was doing things I did not know it did because it was finally correctly installed by Taylor.

I found city car radio sf on yelp and decided to give them a try. After speaking with Taylor, I found that he was more than fair and very experienced.

I went in with a bad radio on my 2008 Corolla and Taylor laid out all my options. He didn't try to upsell me and was very transparent throughout the whole process.

I ended up asking for a backup camera and a dash camera in the middle of the work which they were happy to do.

In the end, my car turned out great! I'm very happy with the quality of their work and customer service.

Will absolutely be coming back to them if I need anything else done. 100% recommend!

I had City Car Radio replace my car's head unit. I worked mostly with Taylor. They gave me a quote that seemed reasonable.

I had 4 major issues when working with City Car Radio -

I first came in and the head unit was working along with the steering wheel controls. Everything was fine, but the subwoofer wasn't working. I asked Taylor about it. He said my car doesn't have a subwoofer. This is factually incorrect, but I had to go home and do more research to prove that it does, in fact, have a sub. Strike 1.

Taylor offers to have me come back and look at the sub. I went in and he shows me that the sub is blown. I'm not sure why this is but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume it blew before they got their hands on it and I didn't notice. I ask what my options are to replace it, he says "any 6.5 inch sub should work". I know this isn't true - you have to take depth into account and this car has shallow mounts so most subs won't fit. Strike 2.

I go home and choose a different sub - the stock sub that came with the upgraded Bose sound system, which comes with a new enclosure. Taylor says the new sub will fit in without a new enclosure. I know that's not true, because the new sub is 5.25" and the old one was 6.5". Strike 3.

Last, I bring the new sub and stock enclosure. Taylor claims the new enclosure won't fit in my car. This seems odd to me, because the enclosure was built stock for my car and looks very similar to the old one. He tells me I have to return the sub because it won't fit. I went home, took out the old enclosure, and put the new one in and it fit just fine. Luckily for me that I know how to do this - if I was less knowledgeable I would have walked away having paid more money for a worse subwoofer. Strike 4.


I don't think any of this is malice - Every time I showed Taylor he was wrong, he offered to have me come back for free. I just think it's incompetence. Thank god I know my car and could correct them. But I still had to bring my car back to them 3 separate times to fix issues, and ended up having to install my sub myself on top of it...

I had city install a viper alarm w power inverter as well as switched power for lift-In a -2024 sprinter-They mentioned a time frame to do the work-and a price as well as a great warranty-I looked over all the work-Every wire was cleanly installed-no wires showing-I verified all things worked-as it should-I've had many vans -- w muti installations-w muti shops-City I must say -Is the best in the business in San Francisco-as there not many-5 stars is not enough

Taylor is the best!!
My speakers were shot in my car.
I called in the morning and he said bring your car in and we will get it done today. He was done in a few hours and the stereo sounded great.
The was price reasonable.
I'm a project manager for a concierge service and I've been having issues with customer service in general.
Taylor was professional, kind, and overall he is a great person.
I recommend Taylor highly!
