Huge parking garage not far from the downtown and capital. They have at least 6 floors of parking with lots of space. Everything is automated and you pay at the machine before leaving. I recommend parking in garages like this so this one is a good choice.

We had a HORRIBLE experience here with Allied Universal Security. We had lost our parking pass and asked a security worker how we could purchase a new one, and we were willing to pay the higher price for the rate change. Immediately following our question, he said "Cut the Bulls***" and became very abrasive/aggressive. We decided to turn around and go to a different worker. The parking attendants were about to help us, when a different security guard rushed over and began writing us a parking ticket. At the time he did not explain that he was writing a ticket until he told us to sign. We did not agree to sign, because the parking attendant mentioned the QR code and pay machines. the security guard blocked us in and said we have to sign and that "when you get a call for this ticket, if you are kind they might offer you a special deal"???? We asked about the parking machines and going to pay there, to which he lied and told us the machines were broken. As we were about to turn around, a parking attendant rushed over to us and was extremely apologetic and helped us.
The parking attendants that issued the parking pass were phenomenal, understanding, and helpful. THE SECURITY GUARDS ARE ABRASIVE, ANGRY, AND UNHELPFUL. They cussed at us when we asked ONE question.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christian H.Downtown, Sacramento, CA01Oct 10, 2023
We pay to park here through our apartment complex. In 5 weeks I've had both my driver side mirror and my driver side window intentionally scratched/etched. Whats next?

Parking is getting tougher and tougher in downtown Sacramento, but the City of Sacramento Memorial Garage remains a decent option for many visitors. This large complex is located between 14th and 15th Streets along H Street.
This is the tallest garage in Sacramento. The city has 10 floors of parking available 24/7. Payment is variable with early bird, monthly pass, and discounts. The hourly rate can be a bit high though. The new system scans your license plate which allows you to exit without inserting your card, but sometimes it doesn't work so hang on to it.
The size of the garage can also be a problem. There are only four elevators which can cause a wait during rush hour or after a Music Circus performance. The stairs can also be an option to save time or get in some cardio. I have been stuck getting out several times after peak events too.
Sometimes the city collects payment when you enter for large events. The location can be a bit of a walk for many popular downtown events, but they are generally open and usually the cheapest. Plus the view from the 10th floor is usually pretty cool!Helpful 17Thanks 0Love this 13Oh no 0Apr 20, 2015Previous reviewThis is an excellent option for drivers visiting midtown or north downtown Sacramento. The garage is huge with 10 stories of parking. They offer low rates including a $6 Early Bird special and EV charging. The garage is well lit and very safe. One of the cheap thrills is to drive or take the elevator to the top floor for a panoramic view of Sacramento and beyond. Many people use the stairs for exercise too.

Who writes a review about a parking garage? Me I guess! There is nothing particularly outstanding about this garage, but I park here every day. My card fob always works, the elevators are always quick, and the attendants are nice. Only wrote a review to balance out the complaints on here, because my experience has always been solid.

Excellent early bird deal! $6. Great if you work downtown. Believe you have to arrive before 9 and leave after 4. There's a sign outside with the details.
No in/out privileges.
SIZE: It's a really large garage so you don't have to worry about lack of spots.
SET-UP: A bit confusing and I got lost when I first started parking here. Each level is divided and has separate access points. Each level section leads to a different exit (there are two). You can cross over in your vehicle on one of the levels. I think 5 but I don't recall exactly. Just drive up and you'll see the sign to crossover for the other exit.
LOSING YOUR TICKET: Huge hassle. Try to not be like me. You will have to pay $15. I don't know if you can do it via machine because I ended up going to the attendant booth (only available at one of the two exits and this is where the crossover becomes necessary). I parked near the exit (15 min parking) and had the attendant fill out a lost ticket form. He was friendly/helpful and gave me a form to take to city hall for a refund in case I found the ticket (I didn't). It was a pretty lengthy process especially since it's also when I got lost! Not sure what would happen if the attendant wasn't present - maybe there's a button on the machine to pay the max/report a lost ticket but I don't know. If you think you know where the ticket is and want the potential refund, you have to have the attendant fill out a form. Either way, you can't exit without a ticket!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Debbie W.Sacramento, CA02Oct 9, 2022
Terrible experience tonight. Crowded for the Amy Schubert concert and the elevators were broken. We were on the 4th floor and some others were even higher. What a terrible mess it was for the people there. I would never park there again.
