City of Sacramento's Capitol Garage

First and foremost, the closest and easiest access to downtown Sacramento, whether for business or pleasure.

Secondly, tons of parking and decent spacing when comparing to many other large cities. Pricing wise, its very affordable for a large downtown city parking garage. Did not really see any security, so follow the standard rules of city parking, don't leave anything in plain sight to excite thieves. Word of advice, just don't touch anything, some nasty handrails and elevators, yes I may be showing some of my germaphobia, but oh well. So while very convenient and easy access to downtown (Especially for conferences), it is your standard run of the mill parking garage.

This parking garage is one of the most convenient parking garages in the Sacramento Downtown area. It is underground in DOCO next to Golden 1 Center.

The parking garage is one of the many in the downtown district. But it is the one closest to the shopping mall, sports complex, movie theaters, and a short distance to Old Sacramento.

This is a pay parking lot. The entrance and exit are gated with automatic access control bars. The parking can't be free of charge if you are shopping in DOCO or watching movies here.

The driveway is not too narrow in this parking garage. But it is very crowded on the weekends.

If you're like me and end up commuting in to Sac for some SRS business at the Capitol once in a while, there's no better place to park. You'll be proximate to the Capitol, and the $3/hour charge isn't bad unless your stay starts extending past the three- or four-hour mark (max charge on weekdays from 6 AM to 5 PM is $18).

P.S. The garage is open 24/7 which is pretty legit.

I use this garage a TON. Whether for a downtown race (such as SacTown Ten or Women's Fitness Festival) or musical theatre, flat rate for event parking is typically $5. It's close to everything, walking distance to C. Chavez park, Citizen Hotel/Grange Restaurant, the Capitol, the Sheraton Grand, Convention Center, Community Center Theater, Cathedral, Cafeteria 15L, and the other establishments along the Kay (Ella, Crest, Esquire...). Great for my early morning races, late night musical shows, or if you don't care for valet (I guess validation takes care of that). Of course parking meters don't have to be paid after 6pm but you'd have to be really lucky to snag such a space so close to the Capitol.

I have correct this review because my previous review was for a different parking garage around the corner not this one. This is actually my favorite parking garage because it's open 24/7 and on weekend club nights after 8pm it's like only $5 to park till early morning. It's in the middle of downtown so there's easy walking distance to a lot of great downtown Sac spots.

Came here for date night. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and a friendly staff. We ordered the tacos for our appetizer and they were very good. It came with three tacos but two would have been nicer because it is kind of difficult to divide a taco in two. For our meals, we ordered the sirloin steak and the cheeseburger. The presentation was pleasing and the flavor was great. For our drinks, we ordered a mojito and a cosmopolitan. Both were made very well and tasted great. We will definitely be coming here again.

Why do they charge $15 for parking and don't even offer validation for the gym customers or the k street businesses. That's ridiculous just cause the arena has an event.. no body wants to go to the arena I just want to go to the gym

Terrible service.
We came in with party of 2 cars. About half an hour later when we got out, I decide to pay for my friend's car behind me. I thought everything was good so I drove out into the street. Noticing my friends were lagging behind for a few minutes, I pulled over to the side of the street to wait for them. After we met up, they told me they still charged them. I decided to confront the Mexican lady about it and she told me to take it to manager. The manager still didn't do shit. Fuck this place. Don't park here.
