City Water Filter

We were putting off doing something about SJ's dreaded hard water for a while but after replacing our dishwasher and washing machine because of the sentiments from the water, we finally bit the bullet and started looking for a water softener system. We received a few quotes but in the end decided to go with City Water Filter. Clay's professionalism and his ability to understand our problems and provide sensible solutions was what made us go with him.

We chose to have a full water softener system and RO system installed per Clay's recommendation. Chris and Larry were able to come by a few days later to install the system and it was nice to have technicians who are true tradesmen within the industry. The installation was very cleanly done and they went above and beyond to ensure that my requests were fulfilled. A lot of times, the difference between a good install and a great install is in the details and they certainly delivered.

We now have great quality soft water for our appliances and also clean drinking water through our RO system. Highly recommend City Water Filter.

Updated review 9/28/23: it's been almost 7 years since City Water installed my softener system and RO system. They have always done an amazing job coming out annually to replace the filters and such. This time around it was time to change out my whole RO system for a new one, mine was getting to end of life and I didn't want any issues. Clay initially came out and assessed my systems and gave his recommendations. He is amazing, full of awesome knowledge and great to talk to. Next day he had Larry and his son swing by to set up the systems. I got the new RO system and added a carbon filter to my existing water softener that also has a sediment filter. The two of these combined will definitely provide cleaner water. Overall, everything took about a little over an hour. Larry and his son were very professional, polite and finished everything perfectly. City water is the only place I'll go through. They love their customers and always go above and beyond.

Chris stop by this week to replace my yearly filters for the RO system. He did a great job and help test my water to recommend any additional system I might use.

I provided feedback too soon. This company sent rookie workers to install the RO system in our place. Something went wrong in the installation and I see a leak under the sink now. Worse yet, they claim this is not their fault. Half the good reviews here are because they ask for it in return for three bags of softener salt. Had I known this is not an experienced crew, I wouldn't have hired their services.

When we bought our home in 2020, the whole house filter and RO system were already installed. The previous owners left us all the paperwork given to them by City Water Filter so naturally we contacted them when the water quality started changing.

The filters in the system need to be changed yearly. Our first experience with them was great, they were responsive and had someone out within 2 days. After service our water flow from the RO system was not as strong and they had someone come out next day to fix the issue.

I contacted CWF on Friday as it was time for our system to be service. I took their first appointment on Monday at 7 AM. Fernando showed up at 645 which I greatly appreciate, he was quick, respectful of the property and very friendly.

Our water pressure was low and it was due to a bad tank, I thought I would have to wait for one to be ordered but he had a new one which was installed right away.

Fernando was in and out in less than an hour which was much appreciated.

Purchased a reverse osmosis system which was professionally installed under the kitchen sink by Larry and his son. Clay the owner is very knowledgeable and passionate about water and his filtration systems. The installers showed up on time and installed my system within 2 hours and also installed a line to my refrigerator so that my ice and water from the fridge is filtered. They did an excellent job installing my RO system and the installation was done cleanly and carefully. TDS (total dissolved solids) before installation from my drinking water was 180. After the installation of my RO system the TDS is now 14. My water tastes great! If you're looking for a reverse osmosis system at a very reasonable price I would highly recommend City Water Filter.

Avoid this company at all costs. Dishonest and aggressive business practices. Everything seems fine for the first few years and then you figure out this company is all about the $$. We purchased a whole house filtration system and RO system 5-6 years ago. After ~4 years or so they start sending letters and emails warning about increased risk of catastrophic failure for filter housings and encouraging you to replace all your housings. At 5 years, they tell you if don't purchase all new filter housings, and replace your entire RO system , they will no longer provide filter service unless you sign a release of liability waiver (essentially removing all your rights in the event they cause problems that damage your home). Ask any reputable water filtration company and they will tell you there is zero reason to replace housings every 5 years. Same goes for RO systems which can last 15-20 years. When I asked City Water filter to provide justification for the 5 year replacement they gave me the runaround and eventually stopped answering emails.

I purchased an APEC RO system online and was looking for someone to install it. I messaged a few companies using Yelp, and all of them were unable to install because I needed to purchase a RO system through them.
City Walter Filter was willing to complete the installation. I sent them a photo of my sink, and they were able to give me an accurate quote. Scheduling my installation was easy their customer service is great. Doug, the installer, arrive early and did a great job with the installation. Doug answered all my questions and even hooked me up with a leak detector water shut-off valve, which my system didn't come with. I will definitely use this company again for all my water filtration needs in the future.

I had got Water Softener and RO system installed by City Water Filter a few months back. Clay (the owner) was very knowledgeable and their prices were reasonable. We have been happy so far. The reason I am writing this positive review is because of their after sales support and service. I had a water leak in RO system which was caught by their leak detector so under sink damage was contained. They were very responsive and Fernando showed up the next day and fixed the connection to get us back on track. He was very professional and went the extra mile to take care of the issue promptly to our satisfaction.

We have been City Water Filter clients for 4 years now. Very happy with Clay and his team, their quality of work and their constant support. Today we had all our filters serviced by Fernando and he did an amazing job. Also our RO system got its yearly maintenance. Highly recommend City Water and Fernando as a technician.
