Clarity Pool & Spa

We bought our Los Altos house over a year ago and received recommendation about Robert from the previous owner of the house. She had been using Robert for maintaining the pool in the backyard of the house for quite a few years. So we decided to keep Robert of Clarity Pool as our pool service guy.

We are pretty happy with the service. Robert takes very good care of our pool. He is honest and knowledgable. We have recommended him to our friends and would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a pool service.

Honest man, thorough professional experience. But I really appreciate about Robert his expertise he brings, I've seen Robert troubleshoot and correct issues that others may have allowed or not even understood. He has the best interest of his customer in mind. I like that he will give it to you straight, if you really really need something he, will let you know, if you don't, he'll also let you know. I really like the fact that clarity pools is a family business and it really shows through their quality. It's like the difference between getting service for your car at a discount no name shop and going directly to the dealer. Only thing is he has an extremely tight schedule so he can't always take everyone, however if he does, it makes you feel like you're in the "Black Card" American Express club haha. I would highly recommend clarity for service and repairs.

I've been using Clarity Pool and Spa for over 6 years. Robert is very prompt, professional, and reasonable. Over that time he has fixed many issues (broken valves, automation issues, solar heating panels, etc). He's also very responsive when you need to get a hold of him.

We've gone through three pool services before we found Clarity and they're wonderful. Robert is professional, timely, and does an amazing job. He always lets me know if there's a problem before it gets out of hand and damages another part of the pool equipment. Initially we used to compare his repair quotes with other services, but we always found his work to be affordable and by far the most professional.

I have recommended Clarity to several of our friends and they are all grateful to have him as well.

I just called to ask some advice regarding pool builders and even though I am not a current customer, the gentleman took the time to provide a few recommendations. I appreciate the help and will keep Clarity in mind for pool service needs in the future.

This was a very disappointing experience working with Clarity Pool and Spa. I called regarding minor pool repairs and Robert said that he was not doing any pool repairs for non-maintenance customers which I thought was fair. I thought about it and decided that I would start monthly maintenance with Clarity Pool and Spa and get the repairs done through them so called Robert back. He agreed to come out to the house and look at the repairs and said that he would follow up with an estimate. I didn't get an estimate but rather received an email from Robert stating that he was not going to be able to take my pool on for maintenance as it had a suction side cleaner rather than a pressure side cleaner and he wants pools with the latter as they are much easier to maintain. If that wasn't bad enough he also wouldn't follow through on the repairs and referred me to a pool construction company! I wasted almost a week thinking that I had partnered with a credible company but instead realized that they just want quick money for little effort. I've been taking care of my pool for 17 years and I would have thought $150/month was more than fair! I've since called another highly rated pool company that was surprised with my Clarity Pool and Spa experience and they've committed to have the work completed by Monday if all parts are available not to mention they didn't require me to become a maintenance customer to help me with repairs. I'm initiating maintenance with them anyway as they have the right attitude towards customers.

Our 20 year old pool pump recently caught fire and damaged all of our pool equipment (heater, valves, etc).

We reached out to 3 contractors and were most impressed with Clarity's professionalism and pricing. The replacement equipment was installed in a quick and professional manner.
