Clark's Ace Hardware

I called to see if they had a type of gasket that I was looking for. The gentleman on the phone said that I should go there and look at the gaskets that they had. Boy, how dumb am I?

I am a general contractor here in Napa who specializes in everything from automotive repairs, commercial construction, and home improvement projects. This means that I am always in need of diverse ranges of equipments, tools, hardwares and supplies to meet the ever changing demands and unique project expectations of each and every one of my clients.

With that being said, I would like to hear by formally recognize Ace Hardware Associates NICHOLAS DUENAS, VU HUYNH, & MAX GARDER for always going above and beyond what I'd expect from a hardware store associate (regardless of the company they work for).

They always take the time to match me with perfectly tailored solutions regardless of the difficulty or complexity of the project at hand. Three extremely knowledgeable professionals who always go above and beyond to ensure I leave equipped with exactly what you need.

So thank you NICHOLAS, VU and MAX! Because you guys don't actually help me meet my clients expectations - you literally empower me to exceed them!

I love this store! Everyone is always helpful. Exceptional customer service. Plus, I like that I am supporting a local business instead of a huge corporation.

The staff here is SO helpful for every project I encounter at my 125yr old house. They help me work out ways to fix things that are not a straight fix. I don't know what I would do without them.

I've always loved this store. You typically pay a bit more than you would elsewhere but the selection and customer service make it more than worthwhile. Of course doing business with a locally owned store is always a plus as well.

My wife and I needed a grill. We shopped this town, and once we determined the model that we wanted we found it to be priced the exact same at every store that sold it. However our friends at Ace gave it to us for the same price - as I mentioned - but they also assembled it and delivered it for no extra charge! As if that weren't good enough, while the OWNER of the store was delivering it, he stopped and shook my hand and thanked me for doing business at his store. This is the kind of customer service that we don't see nearly enough of anymore. I'm happy to very highly recommend this store!

I try to support the smaller businesses but sometimes they can make it very difficult. I was looking for a certain item and was willing to drive across town so I called. A man answered the phone when I asked him if he carried Fix All he replied I think so and I said but I do not need a 25 lb bag do you have smaller? His reply to me was I'm busy right now I don't know you'll have to come down here and look for yourself. A better response could have been I'm busy right now can I put you on hold, or can you call me back in a few minutes or can I take your number and call you back? I was in customer service for 42 years I would've never told a customer that. When I was telling my family members about the experience I had they said they do not like to go to that Ace because they have been treated rudely before. Zellers ace is very nice but did not have the product I needed. My other half was in Rio Vista so I called they were extremely nice even told me what aisle he could find the product on so needless to say he picked it up out of town. Now it has really soured me to go back to this Ace Hardware

Used to love this store, have probably been there 100 times. The last few times I have gone with my GF, who is African American. The same cashier has helped us the last handful of times and refuses to acknowledge her. He won't even respond when she says "hi". But when I say something, he is fine. Wtf is going on? This is Napa. This is the place I was born, and this is how people are treated? At first I tried to say "he's just quiet", but he talks to me like no other, even tried to ring up his truck payment along with my paint supplies, as a joke. Seriously. What the fucking fuck. I've never been so uncomfortable and she refuses to go back, after at least five times I've convinced her to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Nice having this place here and not having to go clear across town to get supplies. The store pretty much has whatever you need for working on your home project. The employees are knowledgeable and there service is good. The prices are a bit on the high side but overall the place is great.

Absolutely the best place to go to they have personalized experienced help find what you need. They may not have everything but they certainly know where you can go get it. I will come back here every time I love this place.

I'm writing this for my mom, since she doesn't have an account.

My mom came here during our vacation to get my Aunt's screen door replaced. She couldn't stop talking how great the service was and how very helpful and friendly the people are here.
