Club Cumming

I was in this fabulous and energetic Club a year ago I was with my daughter and a couple friends to celebrate a birthday let me tell you even not being gay I was having a lotta fun... I would definitely goin back for more exciting time in a flash !!!!

Connection at its finest. If you want a warm, human connection, seriously go to Club Cumming. I was fortunate enough to come on Mondays with Lance. Think top vocalists performing solos of their choice with a live and talented accompanist. It was Broadway heavy, which I love, but there was plenty of pop, too. The bartender was so nice..actually, everyone was so nice. I was a tourist from Buffalo, but I felt like I had fallen into the arms of old friends from the second we glided in. This was the most connected to people I have ever felt in a public venue. It helps that the place is tiny. Wide age range, casual dress, everyone singing together. It was like being a part of a show, but with real people. The whole experience was beautiful.

If you wanna have a good time, dance a little or sing out loud to some good music then definitely come to Club Cumming. Every night is a different vibe. I love love the bartenders here (shout out to Andy and John (I think!?)). Your mood in places like this is dictated by the patrons and the bartenders and everyone is so nice and inviting. Not the cleanest bar ever (the bathrooms are a random dive bar cleanliness), but still a really great time. They accept ALL (but do not tolerate assholes) which is a plus :)

This was long overdue & absolutely blissful! We went on a late Monday night. The club was packed. The drinks were strong but the singing was stronger!

Club Cumming is a fantastic place, especially if you want to have a lot of fun and love listening to people sing in an all inclusive safe space!

We arrived on a Monday night, in the middle of what appeared to be a "loose" murder mystery night, but was actually a kind of open mike, where patrons could sign up and sing onstage with the house piano player.

There were singers of every possible width and breadth, but each one of them boldly owned every bit of themselves once at the mike, and for that reason, the entire experience, as a member of the audience was one of humanity at its best!

When reading other YELP reviews, it sounds like some have had issues with people working the door at CC.
The night we were there, we had no trouble AT ALL, there was an excellent guy checking vaccination cards and ID with professionalism and a smile.

Club Cumming certainly won't be everyone's cup of tea but if this is your scene it's a gem. Superb signing and strong drinks...a recipe for success in my book.

Enthusiastic about this totally queer little spot. It is filled with art and hosts regular burlesque performance. Friendly at the door. Affordable.

I've been here multiple times and I've had a great time each time.

The only thing I would tell you is that,

1. It gets VERY packed, so if you don't like tight spaces and a lot of people, this might not be for you.

2. Their air conditioning (not even sure if they have one) isn't good at all, so it gets quite warm in here.

That being said, the club is great, the comedy show is great, the vibes are happy, the staff is funny and friendly and Alan Cumming is AWESOME!

I had a good time here when I went with my friend. We didn't have to pay a cover fee since we went on a week night, and it was great to listen to live music while having a drink. We both ordered gin and tonics which were meh. The drinks weren't special and were a bit pricy, but the environment was nice. You can dance here with your partner if you like, although there isn't a dance floor.

They didn't check our vax cards when we entered. While the music is nice, it is too loud to talk with who you are with if that's what you prefer.

Unbelievable atmosphere on a Monday night...this is the place to be loved, accepted, and happy. You can perform or not... socialize, and feel loved. BEST QUEER BAR IN NYC
