Free plays the last Sundays of every month? Does that mean it's completely free to go inside and play every single game?

      A:

Hi, yes the last Sunday of the month all of the games are free (besides prize games and the photobooth) and we never cover. All that's needed to enter is a valid 21+ ID, cheers!

      1 check-in

Cool place to check out when you're downtown. They've got a mix of newer and classic games, and I appreciate that most of the classic games still cost a quarter! They've got a standard bar menu (beers on tap, some specialty cocktails) and their food is decent. They've got some good happy hour specials, too!

      A couple tips:
      - Bring cash if you've got it. They have several change machines, but it's better to skip using their ATM and incurring fees.
      - No outside drinks are allowed at all. I usually carry a Nalgene with me everywhere. I was stopped outside when checking IDs because it was half full of water. I went to go pour the water out and they said it couldn't come inside, even when empty. Leave your Stanleys and such at home!

This is my 3rd coin-op I've been to and this one has a nice selection of games - not the biggest and not the smallest. Upon arriving, the bar had a line as there was only one person taking orders, but the bartender was pretty quick.

Mitty's cider - surprisingly was a sour beer which I wasn't mad at since I like sour beers.

Orange Ave - was nice drinkable beer. Reminded me of blue moon/shock top.

Twisted Tea - is just plain sweet! Haha

Coin-op is a great spot to visit after a game, after dining out, or for drinks and snacks. I guess you could bring your kid here, but it's primarily adults here.

Bathrooms were decent. I didn't like how there was a roll of tp hanging on the hook on the door where you would place your purse/jacket. Luckily there was tp in the dispenser, but gross. Who knows if it's been dropped or not.

Came here on a Friday night while waiting for a show at the Crest to start. It was busy, but not uncomfortably packed. Everyone from the bar to the wait/serving crew was nice and helpful.
I honestly wasn't expecting much from bar food, but I ended up loving the pizza! It was thin with a nice crisp. Pretzel bites were plenty to share with my date. Drinks were really good and cute too.
The games are super cool and nostalgic. Overall a good time!

Pretzel bites with dip. I didn't read the description, but it tasted like garlic butter. Really good!

      Updated review

Updated review as of 6/30/24. They downsized with their most recent renovations from a year or so ago. All the games are pushed up against each other. They got rid of a lot of pinball machines. Buttons on a good number of games didn't work properly. Service is good when you bring things up that need attention but it just feels like the place has gone downhill since they first opened many years ago.

Cool bar with plenty of room and games to play and have fun with a full bar also they don't have waiters walking around so you have to get your own drinks at the bar but they were pretty fast making the drinks

Came here for a work event so I didn't get a chance to take many pictures of the food. The service was fast and the drinks are cute. I got a peach something, I forgot what it was called. It looks cute and tastes ok. Glad it wasn't too sweet but the peach flavor was subtle, barely there. Wish it tasted a little more peachy.

My friend ordered a margherita pizza with cauliflower crust with no cheese since she's vegan and it came out with no tomatoes and no basil either. Just a round bread with dried seasoning. Luckily, it wasn't bad.

We also ordered some wings. Dry rub tasted like curry and way too much rub on the wings. Lemon pepper wings were extra salty but the Buffalo wings were the only ones edible without having to remove all the seasoning off.

It's a cool spot for a large group but the music was super loud and we had to scream to talk so keep that in mind

Always a good time when I find myself at the coin-op. The last time was to bring in this new year (2024) & I still had a decent time. I loge the games and their drinks are always hella fun -- usually strong too. The bar service is below par, but I can't hold them. The ambience is all I go here for; it's great!

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Coin-Op Game Room after an Arctic Monkeys concert at the Golden 1 Center, and boy, were we in for a treat!

First off, major props to the bouncer who let us in even though my ID had expired just a day prior. He was hella chill about it, and we really appreciated his understanding as we were cluelessly trying to escape the concert traffic.

As we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in an adult bar arcade room. Being nerds at heart, this was a dream come true for us. I opted for the Princess Peach cocktail, while my boyfriend went with the Orange Creamsicle. Both were pretty good, though I must say the prices were standard bar prices, with our drinks clocking in at $13 each.

The bartender with glasses was super cool and even helped me break down my $20 bill into $10s, which was a lifesaver since the coin machine didn't accept bills larger than $10.

We couldn't wait to dive into the games and started with pinball. However, a minor hiccup - they shut down the power about 20 minutes earlier than expected. It would have been nice if they made an announcement beforehand, as we could've saved a few coins and I could've enjoyed my drink at a more leisurely pace.

Despite that, Coin-Op Game Room was a pretty cool place overall. It satisfied our inner nerds and provided a fun post-concert adventure. We'll definitely be back for another round of gaming and drinks!

I love the idea of an adult arcade. This place is okay. Their premade drinks aren't great and the bar is limited. A little overpriced on drinks and games. It's pretty small for an arcade. Staff was super friendly. I found they had an old The Simpsons arcade game I played when I was a kid so that was awesome. Glad they have some AC because last time I went it was hot AF.
