I took my Corolla after i got some scratches all over the driver side and they did a great job, from the first day they gave me a accurate estimate and the finished the work in 4 days.

A big metal sheet blew into my car on the highway. There was extensive damage to the grill, bumper, door and fender. I've had bad auto body work before, and I've battled lowball insurance appraisals, too. So, I wanted a trustworthy shop that had dealt with tricky insurance companies.

Rob gave me an estimate the same day, and he asked me to have the insurance appraiser come to his shop. That's right way to do it. He also uses only OEM parts. I knew I had the right shop.

Of course, the initial insurance estimate was lowball. But Rob worked it out with the insurance appraiser and paid the difference for OEM parts vs aftermarket.

Right on time, the repairs are done and the car looks good as new. Go to Consumer Auto Body.

I have been here 3-4 times now & this shop/Rob are incredible. Not only is he very fast/kind with responding to my service requests, but the work they do is superb, efficient, and reliable (all for very reasonable prices).

Rob is very very trustworthy - has always done right by me (and my wallet). When picking up my car post-accident, it was looking better than before the accident (indicative of how they always go the extra mile).

I am not super experienced with car ownership/maintenance/repair, but Rob has always answered my questions very thoroughly & made sure I understood the details of the repair & what costs were for. Helped me with my insurance claim & took care of all of that communication on the back end. Will not be going to anybody else but him ever (as long as I live in SF)!

I'm really glad I chose Rob to fix up my car. Last year, a tree fell on my car causing a lot of damage to the exterior and interior. I'm not very experienced with car troubles, so this occurrence caused me a lot of stress, but Rob made the process really easy. He was very responsive from the moment I contacted him for an estimate, and he provided me with a preliminary estimate based on photos of the damage that I sent to him. He even helped me find a towing company to get my car to his shop and advised me on how to work with them.

Upon seeing my car in-person, Rob gave me a detailed itemized invoice quantifying the cost of every repair so that I knew exactly where my money was going and what would be fixed. Once I left my car with him, he stayed in contact with me via phone and email. Out of everyone I worked with throughout the process of repairing my car, he's the only one who was quick to respond to all of my emails and provide updates on the progress of his work.

When picking up my car, I was so happy to see it looked almost brand new! (for a 2007 scion that's pretty damn good). He even went the extra mile to clean a stain off my hood and clean the surface of my car's interior which was covered in mold due to water damage. He still advised me that I should see someone who specializes in mold removal, which reassured me that he did everything he could under his skillset to get my car in the best shape possible, and he provided me with the information necessary to ensure I got the remaining work done.

Aside from the work and process being great and seamless, I also appreciated that Rob made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole experience. He recognized that I'm on the younger side and never made me feel ashamed about my lack of knowledge in this realm of work. He was really nice about explaining things to me when I had questions. I felt that he really cared about me and my car, which was great since I've never had to go through this before. I'm glad I chose Rob, and I'll definitely be coming to him for all of my car troubles in the future. Highly recommend!!

One of my font parking sensors was damaged by a small item on the road and caused the entire parking system in my car to stop functioning. I purchased the part myself and was looking for help simply swapping out the broken sensor for the new one. Rob, was one of very few people even willing to help me out. He was very fast when communicating and was honest with me about the time and pricing of it all. In the end he got the sensor swapped and my car is now back to normal. Highly recommend going to Rob when you need Auto body help!

Needed to replace my side mirror housing and mirror. Not only were the folks at this shop quick to respond with a quote (which also beat multiple quotes I got here on Yelp), they sourced the part within a few days and did the whole job in under an hour AND a day earlier than expected! Great service and great quality.

After going to several shops, I decided to go with Rob based on the Yelp reviews and talking with him. He was very accommodating with scheduling, etc. However when it comes to quality of work, I had to have the insurance adjuster go to his shop due to incomplete work that he said the insurance company didn't approve. I had to call the insurance company a couple of times to return to the shop to authorize the repairs. He was paid just shy if $10K from me and the insurance company to repaint scrapes, scratches and adhesive due to vandalism. Instead of painting the scratches, he tried to polish and buff out most of it, the finished quality looks terrible, scrapes, swirl and adhesive are still visible in the paint. I approached him about this, but his reply was the color is jet black and it's really difficult to "get in right" the paint shows every little defect. In my experience, he definitely did not do a 5 start job, I had to follow up with him many times regarding minor details. Even on the day I picked up the car, some of the work was not completed. He said he didn't repair it because the insurance company didn't "approve" it. On the way home, once again I called the insurance company... they said to bring the car back to the shop, which I did. So the adjuster came out there again to authorize additional repairs. All in all the car was in the shop for couple of weeks with multiple calls/emails and insurance adjuster visits. It seems like I had to point everything that I needed done to him several times and call the insurance company several times as well.

After posting this review, the owner messaged/emailed me and threaten to sue me unless I remove the review.
