We have a beverage-air commercial fridge at the office that was making too much noise, and most of the repairmen I called around to said that they didn't work with those types of fridges. This was the first repair man who said that he could fix it.
He was very professional, and straight forward, but also had a gentle way about him that made him easy to deal with. At first when I told him the problem he said it could be a few hundred dollars to fix or a few thousand, but after the visit the part was on the lower end of that spectrum. They did diagnose & fix the issue but it took 2 tries because they left before checking their work. So that is another service call, they didn't charge for it, but still a time window to wait all because of their failure - which should have been pretty obvious. So all in all 3 visits for repair: 1 to diagnose, one to order & install part, and 1 to complete the job which they should have done before leaving premises. A lot of waiting.

After calling 3 or 4 other listings, & being told the earliest they could get to me was 2 days later, I called Continental, almost expecting the same. Boy, I was surprised when I was told they could not only come out that day, but would work wit my schedule!!
They arrived, diagnosed the issue, & fixed the problem in under 2 hours!!

My fridge was broken and leaking. They gave me an hour bloc of when they'd arrive. When that passed I had to call twice. Each time they said five more minutes. Two hours later George called and said he wanted to come another day. We said that was unacceptable. He said he'd be here in 45 minutes. Over another hour later he arrived, quoted me $1300 and said it would take a week. We said no thank you and he charged us $85 to get here three hours late. Called someone else. He fixed the fridge right away for a fraction of the price.

I called this company based on the positive reviews and found the initial interaction very positive. He came out and solved the issue quickly and all was good. He gave me the receipt and said the repair was guaranteed for 90 days.
Low and behold, less than 60 days later, the fridge stopped working. I called him back on a warranty repair. He said it was going to cost another $300. I reminded him of the warranty but he told me that some different part was broken and the warranty didn't cover it. This seemed suspicious considering the exact same thing was happening.
He said he was going to do me a favor by fixing it for free, but this wasn't a favor since his warranty was still in place. He told me he would be back in 48 hrs to do the repair. He finally showed up 5 days later to do the repair. 5 days with no fridge/freezer is especially inconvenient with a 3 year old and 6 month old.
Fast forward another month and the freezer is starting to run too cold, food has frostbite, and everything in the fridge is freezing.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 10, 2014
Made an appointment the day before and George came within the scheduled time slot. He was very friendly and quickly diagnosed the problem. The circuit board in the refrigerator was fried. He said he'd go back to the office and bring back a replacement board in 25 minutes. He was very thorough and insisted on wiping down the insides of the freezer so that there were not water drippings that could freeze once the refrigerator started working again. He and his coworker cleaned the back side of the refrigerator and he instructed me on the upkeep that I can do in the future to keep the fridge in good working condition. Refrigerator was fixed and my food was saved.

George, the owner is one of the coolest guys ever. Was very prompt with service and did it in great time. Our fridge needed more fluid and he was in and out in 30 mins! Thanks George!

Recently the refrigerator/freezer had to break down...
One of the first people I had called was George @ Continental.
right over the phone I got a 'honest straight shooter' feeling about him.
Also knowing that he has been in business for over 35 yrs definitely helped.
He charges $55 to come and diagnose the problem, but reverses that charge if you have the actual issue fixed with him.
Sure enough he came over, diagnosed that the relay switch for the compressor had burnt out within 10 minutes.
Usually I am quite handy with technology, equipment and fixing things, but this is not one of those things that I would have been effectively able to diagnose and fix on my own.
All in all he was very friendly, helpful and full of information. I would'nt say that he is the cheapest but so far he seems to be very knowledgeable and honest.

The very pleasant repair-person came on time, evaluated the problem, had the needed part in the truck and the problem was fixed in less than an hour. The price seemed fair. All in all a pretty painless experience.

Great service and very professional. George knows what he is doing and is fair and honest. Came out the same day and saved a freezer full of fish, chicken and steaks.
