Amazing! First time customer. I made an appointment for a highlight and a cut. First of all, the receptionist was so awesome. She was so accommodating and worked me into their schedule in time for a trip I was taking. My highlight was with Marco and was absolute perfection. Plus, he is a super sweet guy. My cut was with Kimmie who I also highly recommend. She gave me the perfect cut and explained everything she was doing thoroughly. Also super nice.

I never write bad reviews, but this my experience was very disappointing. I had an appointment with Alex for full foils back in July. The salon looked super nice, everyone seemed really friendly, except for Alex. She kind of had an attitude from the very beginning that she didn't want to be there. When I asked where I could set my bag, she pointed to the floor which was covered in hair cuttings. When I politely pointed that out, she grabbed a hair dryer and blowed it away, and didn't say a word. When I told her I just wanted my roots touch up, from my natural dirty blonde to blonde, she basically told me that would be too hard to do. I have been getting this done for about the past 15 years, at many different salons, and I didn't really understand why she couldn't do it. I've even gone to teaching schools and they have no problems putting foils in and covering the regrowth. Another lady came by and reassessed and said it shouldn't be a problem. She was very kind and sweet, and even tried to make an excuse for Alex saying she was going on maternity leave. But Alex snapped back immediately, saying she wasn't going on leave yet. Alex proceeded to do my hair, with almost zero communication for the next couple hours, except for "turn your head this way." Once she was done, my hair looked basically the same. All my regrowth was still there, she hadn't covered it really at all. I was disappointed, but felt uncomfortable in the environment and just wanted to leave.
I followed up with an email to Cooper Alley two days later expressing my disappointment and experience. After 2 weeks I did not receive a reply, so I followed up with a phone message. I received a text message from the manager the next day saying she was going to call me that day. She never called, but she did leave me another message saying she was going to call the next day. It's now been three weeks and she never did call me or reach out to me to try to make the situation better.
Besides the salon looking nice from the outside I have nothing good to say about it. Bad stylist, bad attitude, and no customer service follow up.

I used to fly back and forth to NYC to get my hair done because the salons in Marin weren't making the cut (pun intended). Then I found Miriam at Cooper Alley and have been with her for years for both balayage and cut. Love her and her work!

Rick Cooper is a bonafide genius. No joke. My hair is, admittedly, difficult to cut but I can't find anyone who can touch him! So. I fly to Corte Madera from overseas and from Houston, just so that I can look in the mirror and feel good about how I look. He is a true artist.

Horrible. Run from that snobbish place. The hairstylist thought she was in the "Oscars." After listening to her crap, I ran out of that place as fast as I could. Didn't allow her to even touch my hair

Peak Marin County Snobiness. I purchased a groupon for a partial highlight. Was treated horribly and the stylist told me she would not work on my hair due to the breakage and it needing a color correction. She then recommended me a $140 haircut instead and tried to upsell expensive products to me. Should have known that the location would mean they can be snobby and charge whatever they want to the clientele in that area. What happened to treating every customer equally? Don't offer groupons or you will not honor them.

I was referred to Ali Cooper, but would not recommend. I had an appointment, which was hard to get because she's "so busy" and was left waiting for over 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, I was told it would be another 10 because she was "busy." I don't know what planet a business owner is in to think that their time is more important than the customers, but that's not my planet. I left, and won't be back. Don't recommend.

I recently went in to get hair tape ins with Miss Kathy and she did amazing! Initially, I felt a little nervous since it was my first time and for my wedding day but she understood the assignment. Kathy ensured that we were both on the same page throughout the appointment which I loved. From the front desk to the staff walking by they were all super friendly. Would definitely recommend!!

Went from long hair to a bob cut today, I love it! My cut was executed by technician Kimmie with guidance by teacher Rick Cooper. I see great things in the future for Kimmie, she cuts precisely and meticulously.

My hair is IMPOSSIBLE to deal with. It is thick, unruly and untamable. I have struggled with haircuts my entire life until I found Cooper-Alley. Going there is an EXPERIENCE. You don't just go there and get a haircut, you go there and feel like a million bucks. It's become one of my "happy places." You put on a robe and get a relaxing shampoo and consultation and then get treated to getting exactly what you want. The salon is beautiful but the stylists are even more beautiful. I am convinced that Holland is my hair whisperer. Under Rick's tutelage, she has blossomed into the only stylist that I want coming near my wild mane. Alejandro is the same for my two teenage son's. One was thick straight hair like mine and the other has wild, curly hair. Alejandro is amazing with them and they always leave the salon beaming. Thank you Cooper-Alley for taking care of my entire family!
